I can't think of a greatsword with a better moveset in any other Souls game. It has horizontal slashes, perfect for taking out large mobs. It has over head strikes for taking out smaller enemies. It has stab pokes for getting a bit more distance when needed. Not to mention it transforms into a long straight sword that has killer speed and ability to stunlock easily.

It also has high scaling in STR, SKL, & ARC so it can fit many different builds.
People that like it a lot are only using the Greatsword form, right?

I see. Supposedly, there are more that no one has found yet?

It's important to note they don't really function like covenants did in the Souls games. So don't go expecting exclusive items for trading in medals etc. (Outside of NPC rewards for comoleting their storyline in game that is). At least from what I've seen.

Also once again for those interested my Pthumeru Chalice Dungeon contains both the
Uncanny Kirkhammer
and
Lost Saw Cleaver

Since I was asking about sedatives a short bit ago, turns out the student looking enemies in the
lecture hall
drop them (and more commonly bullets). That one room with a shit load of them is netting me 1 or 2 per trip it seems.

Bloodborne however, shows that Miyazaki's team know exactly how difficulty should be implemented within a game. A defeat that is entirely the player's for not using the tools handed to them correctly.

The difficulty is perfect. Its enough to be stimulating ,but not soo excessive that it feels unplayable.

Some bosses seem impossible but all it takes is a shift in persepective.

The optional bosses in KH2 final mix are garbage for example. They're probably harder than anything in souls series ,but they're not fun.Its a case of difficulty feeling cheap and absurd.

If a blood gem gives "+ fire attack damage", does that mean that my weapon will do fire damage naturally? Or is it only if I apply a fire buff?

if you watch my farming video you can see me stun prettty well. I guess its withthe axe though, so maybe you need a heavier weapon.

no soul memory

There is a better farming route for mid game .. It's right at the first forbidden woods lamp you kill the two birds then the two dudes... Then go for the wolf guy then kill the 4 or 5 guys below and the 2 dogs for 7400+ echoes......( each run takes about 4 minutes including the loading) Run back and repeat... You can almost get 100k echoes in an hour if you are fast and get good runs...

It converts from physical damage to fire damage. Your Strength and/or Skill will no longer affect the damage, only the Arcane stat will do that.

Yeah, for the amount of shouting at bosses I've done on this thread, I'm really just shouting at myself.

Greatsword of Artorias wins.

Never forget the running light attack spin. That insta killed so many enemies. It let you skip along maiming everything that even looked at you.

Ahhh, that is less good for my skill build. But that blood gem would be great for weapons with bad scaling and high damage I guess?

What's the damage like with high arcane? At 30 arcane/+10 and with a decent Arcane gem (plus the +15% atk gem) I'm barely scraping past 400 atk. And in use it just doesn't hit hard even if I shift elements around.

Once you reach 40+ Arcane you should see that A bonus scaling better and thus outputting more damage. What I really like about Arcane builds though is that I can mix it up with spells and flamethrowers while still having the LHB/Tonitrius for heavy melee damage.

I believe it doesn't cost anything to invade but if you fail to kill your opponent then you lose 1 Insight.

Where on Earth do you fight DBP? Can't find it at all.

dark beast paarl?
There are guys who walk around and carry big bags in the graveyard areas, the first one i found was in the healing church when i dropped to the bottom of the tower. They're pretty tough, if they kill you you wake up in a jail and from there you're in a new place. DBP is in this location, I found him by accident and so far the hardest boss i've encountered.

This is very useful info.

That's actually pretty terrible info. 50 is *not* a Hard Cap on Stats, 99 is. Except for Endurance which caps Stamina gains at 40, though you still get Defense Stat increases past that.

25 is not a soft cap. You still get tons of stats from 26-50. There's just a very MINOR dip at 25. You also still get stat gains from 51-99, it's just extremely diminished returns and where the actual soft cap is.
