Bloodborne |OT3| I Cane, I Saw, I Conqu- YOU DIED

I've completely avoided all BB threads etc, so I'm trying to dodge spoilers but I just started playing and I can't reload my game. Gives me a data not installed, try again later message.

Google isn't helping, I tried deleting and reinstalling, cold rebooting/reinserting disc, neither did anything.

Any known solutions here?

So I beat the BSB, should I be going through
hemeick lane
or have I gone the wrong way? Cuz I went down from the cathedral and got put into
prison

Man what the fucking shit how do I kill
Gherman?

For the first half of the battle, parry him every time he does a horizontal slash (his most common attack). This should allow you to reach the halfway point of the battle with a ton of potions. From then on just get right up in his face, trade blows with him, and heal when necessary. You'll have so many potions you can just brute force it.

Curious if Bloodborne is going to make people go back to Dark Souls I&II and play a non shield build?

I'll be going right back to my shield build next week when DS2 remaster comes out lol. I feel like the game is built around that compared to how BB is built around evading/countering so it would just feel like a cheap ripoff.

I'm in the FW (
Forbidden Woods
) and died to one of those
snake-head
guys. I had 47k echoes and when I got back to where I died, the
snake
guy that covers his head with rags in the building
before the shortcut
had my echoes and the glowing purple eyes. When he transformed
into the snake headed thing
, the purple eyes disappeared, so after I killed him, I didn't get my echoes back... WTF

It's my go-to right now. For big single enemies I use Ludwig's alt mode or basic mode if Tonitrus is low on durability but man do I love that mace. Too much fun and my current fav.

Awesome, gonna poor some mats into it and build it up a bit to go with Ludwigs. Since Ludwigs I havent touched my Kirkhammer so I might as well offhand something else. The moveset is superior to the Kirk in every single way.

So is Frenzy basically the Curse of this game? Like, there's just resistance to how quickly the bar fills up, and if it fills up completely you're toast?

finally got my plat. whoo hoo.
I got a quick question regarding the save files. From my understanding to get the trophies, you have to get all the ending for the corresponding trophy. Did you back up your save on a usb stick? Then did you finish the game, delete the game file and load it from the usb stick?

So, if you go left at the cathedral ward, then up towards the giant, you eventually reach another giant with a big ass ball and chain. Behind him is a staircase that leads down to a chest and a closed door. What the fuck is up with that door? Just got to it in new game plus and realized I never did anything with it my first time through the game. It just says it's closed when you click on it.

Is there anything else to do in the Upper Cathedral Ward after beating E
brietas
??

And is there any other option other than "Do Nothing" when approaching the statue behind her??

Whip is life. And you get the satisfaction of not using the same weapon 99% of people playing this game are using; that being Ludwig's sword.
Well aren't you a (w)hipster, lol.

I used the whip as my starting weapon and it was pretty cool but goddamn, I'm a greatsword fanboy at heart. I couldn't resist.

It takes a huge chunk of health out. If you have low Vitality it's basically insta-kill. When the bar is almost full you can start using vials and hopefully stay alive.

Where do I go in Cainhurst? I've completed a loop of the castle, opening two shortcuts -- a castle from the courtyard to the library, and then I creeped along the exterior of the castle, dropped through a window, and opened a shortcut... that leads to the library. Yet one where I can't climb back up through the window, so I'm not sure what purpose this serves. And I have no idea where to go next. Tips?

I'm Loving the combo of the mercy blade when dual weilding them daggers, but i'm still using my cane+9 for bosses. Blades of mercy are at +7

Beat 2 more optional bosses in Upper
cathedral ward
and I have a question regarding one of them

Not much to say about Celestial Emissary, that one was just really easy

But Ebrietas, Daughter of the Cosmos gave me a hard time. I had some trouble evading her attacks, specially the one where she just sort of falls down.
Anyway, after defeating her there is the corpse of some weird creature behind her which I can interact with but the only option I get is to "do nothing". Any hint regarding what Item I have to bring there?

Also, I have a question regarding how to get the "true" ending
I know you have to kill the girl from the first location in the game. But I sort of ignored her and she is not talking to me through the door. I know there is a way to get to her, but I'm not sure how.
Also, when is it safe to kill her in order to get the needed item for the true ending?

nah i beat the game 3x. subsequent runs are way faster b/c you can skip all the optional stuff.

The second shortcut should have a ladder on it. Brings you to the roof

Cainhurst boss after kill spoiler:
Yo, what the hell is this huge spider doing by the cathedral ward? I assume the crown is what's showing me this now. The spider was always there since it grabs you if you get pulled by the vortex, right?

For me the awnser is no. Not only does stamina work differently (you can't roll forever in ds) but mainly, I just like shields. I love the heavy impact when you block in those games

I'll tell what will change tho, I'll deffinately summon less if at all. I did basically every boss in ds2 with summons because, well I was lazy. But BB proved that I'm not as bad I'm these games as I gave myself credit for (I've done every BB boss except the last solo)

It's your insight doing it

It's your insight that allows that.

Apparently if you let the queen of Cainhurst die, you can use the flesh from the altar to revive her

First taste of involuntary PvP. I died. Wasn't prepared at all, but I put up a good fight. Seemed much easier than the damned Hunter NPC fights. Ran through the zone and shoved the bell right up the ringer's ass.

Shit was getting weird so I ventured back down into the Chalice Dungeons. Found my first (game element)
invisible wall!
Didn't know they existed. I had been smacking everything all game and it finally paid off. I got one chalice element. Ah well.

Old footage of my Djura fight.
Beat him the old fashioned way.
Later tater.
