When does the nun kill the whore? I don't want that to happen, but I saved the whore, accepted her blood, and consumed the item before saving the nun. I heard that is the trigger, but after saving the nun, zoning a few times, and accepting/consuming the nun's blood nothing has happened. Does that event happen after killing Rom or am all in the clear? I don't want to miss furthering the whore's quest line and wonder if I should kill the nun or if it is safe to progress.

You will have to kill him now, otherwise consider her a dead body.
 
So somehow the original patch got deleted, re downloaded and now I'm getting a message that says: finishing installing game data or something like that. Having to delete, re install and re download the patch and see if it fixes it.

) do you mean just lore wise, or if you had enough insight from the start you could actually see them?

Basically, if you go to ng+ with enough insight (let's say 99 to be sure) will all of them be visible from the start?

So far I think R
om, vicarious spider
is the worst boss. At least for me.
The trash that spawn around him make it way harder than it should be and his ranged blue attacks suck. Finally beat him after like 8 or 9 tries with help.
Haven't had that much trouble on any other boss and I beat some of them solo.
 
I am loving this game. It is all I think about at work and I am just reading everything I can about it when I get a chance.

It's early...but this is going to be hard to beat for GOTY. Maybe Arkham Knight. We will see.
 
Hemwick Charnel Lane is just simply an AMAZING AREA!

Fuck, the atmosphere is off the charts. I literally only walked during this section to admire the intricate level design.

This game is solid gold.
 
Couple of tries to get used to DBP's moveset but he's pretty damn simple to take down in the end.

Made my way to Hemwick though. What the fuck is up with the lantern not showing in the Hunter's dream's list of places you can teleport to given I've lit the lantern? I have to run all the way back to the boss from the VA location which sucks.

Just to add, that area rocks though by the way. I get major RE4 vibes from it.

with a co-op partner! The best hint I can give to defeat her, is first to co-op so she doesnt target you alone, and second, but not less important, do not lock on her!

There is another tombstone next to that one that has the newer lamps.

I killed the wood's boss in my first try, it was so damn epic, the last moments even more, i had 0 vials and my only choice was to zerg the last one to the end
 
So these fire/bolt bonuses from gemstones only activate when the weapon is enchanted after using fire/bolt papers? Or they always active?
 
For those having trouble with the Blood Soaked Starved Beast this is what worked for me first try so maybe he has some things I don't know about

Stay behind him as much as possible, wait for him to start an attack then dodge behind him. Stay aggressive. This will get you through the first 2 forms easy. The third form is pretty much the same just that he does that poison cloud attack. When he does that back up asap.


If you need to heal or use an antidote, either wait for him to do that poison cloud run back and use what you need or if you really need it dodge an attack then dash back 2-3 times then heal/antidote. While in the heal animation hammer of dodge diagonal towards him so you can get behind him and not take damage.

is finally at the Cathedral telling me to not go to the tomb because she has business there. When I walk back and look at the area, I see two hunters at the tomb but she isn't there. When does she start fighting them? I take it on shouldn't mess with them until she does?

You can be killed by them, but I think their visual reveal is tied to in-game progress. I saw it before killing

, but right after getting the
tonsil stone
, which seems to me the real trigger.
 
Why exactly are people having trouble with R? Holy crap all it does is roll around doing nothing. The only boss that has truly kicked my ass is bsb. And I'm sure tons of people have steamed rolled that boss, dems the breaks, I guess.
 
Undead Giant is a cunt, it seems really hard to tell how long his chains will last compared to other bosses. Sometimes three......other times 5. He also has a bullshit attack where he knocks you down and then leaps at you which you can do nothing about.

full on body shot clinging to the church like they do in unseen village when you get there

I've got a vid on how to beat him without getting hit :) - Just need to upload it. When you say chains do you mean the ones that he throws about when he attacks?
