eileen quest is being weird
i killed the bsb and opened the gate that you buy the key for and shes still in the sewers.

Am I the only one who actually liked the mid game area
Unseen Village
? I thought it had fantastic atmosphere, and I loved how anxious the whole thing made me feel.
and the bottom area with the creepy statues everywhere, the mad dash through the respawning witches, trying to find the bell women while being attacked from every angle, I loved it.

Another area which I just reached (end game spoilers)
Upper Cathedral Ward - this place is the closest any souls game has come to scaring me. The werewolf jumping through the window, the chandelier falling, the darkness. Amazing.

This game has astonishing world and level design, seriously unmatched.

The
Executioner
set? I'm not sure, but that one also might've been missing headwear.

I also
joined the Vilebloods
. Perhaps I can buy something new to wear now, as a result.

Oh, and of course,
there's the crown.

Man, Cainhurst Castle is amazing.

You can buy the helm for it on the vendor for 60k. It's name is different though, it's the Gold Ardeo.
You need the Queenly Flesh item from Alfred killing Annalise to buy it.

Oh my goddddddd, this fucking fight with Eb
rietas
is going to make me break my controller.

Super tough fight, and the only fight since the Cl
eric
B
east
that I have battled the camera so much and died because of it.

I can consistently get her down to about 1/8th of health, and then I die because I can't get away from her because I'm stuck in her or stuck on some geometry. Or I'm so close and the camera is bouncing all over the place that I can't see that she's casting her ranged magic one hit kill attack. It's really getting annoying. And then I run out of vials or bolt paper and have to go farm. AHHHHHHHH

Wish i never cancled my big boxed edition now (was going to cost me 89.99 as well..)
my favorite game this gen so far, not played Destiny since friday.. trust me that's huge lol

Also I realised I am a HORRID HORRID MAN
forgot to go back to the place with the crying nun downstairs and speak to her before the place went to shit after killing Rom

And I've sent that
poor woman to that red caped whatever the remain of human that is in the cat. ward and today, I've checked first floor of clinic and learned you have two spots to send souls to...

Ebrietas is the only boss i found that i have consistently died after getting her health to 1/5th. Its the damn Lasers man, time your movements correctly and continuously hug her back. One of her attacks where she flails her arms like mad can only hit you at that part

I like it.
Getting captured and waking up there was a great moment in the game. I could immediately tell I was in a later game area. I walked through a doorway, killed a monster on one side as another slit my throat. From there I just did a suicide run through the level, which proved to be very rewarding (Tonitrus!). When I went to this area later the boss was kind of trivial, kinda wish I faced him the first time.

The rest of the area is anxiety inducing acid hell. It looks incredible. My "fuck it I'm just going to run past this stuff and see what I can find" instinct actually turned out to be a necessary strategy for getting through the level. The spider shooting the laser felt like a great throwback to Demon's Souls Dragon in the last level. The One Reborn boss fight feels like a throwback to Tower Knight.

Haha, I love all of this so much. :-D

I just imagine the Healing Church has a Ripper-style file on my character a mile long.

There's like notes that say stuff like, "He leaves little blue gas lamps at the site of his crimes. What could be the significance of this?"

Knock, knock, high clerics. The boogy man is coming to get you and your stupid gods too. Round and round the mulberry bush, the monkey chased the weasel...

Spent most of the night trying to get through
Yahar'gul
. Man what a pain in the ass. Naive me kept trying to thin out the mobs on the first staircase after the lamp only to be backstabbed or picked up. The place is a nightmare.

I'm going to this place next, and I'm glad I know about this. Once the bell maidens are down, they don't come back, right? Even when you re-awaken in that area?

These aren't the summoning Bell Maidens, I don't think. You don't get the message on screen saying "A Bell Maiden rings a sinister bell", so I don't think they can summon players. I say that because these Bell Maidens do respawn every single time you come back.

Need tips - I'm level 48 right now and can fight the hunter in the cathedral, fight D
arkbeast Paarl
, or keep exploring further into U
nseen Village
. Both fights are kicking my ass and I have no idea if I'm underleveled or not.

I mean, seriously what a bunch of assholes who designed this fight! :)

FAST boss, does HUGE damage with each attack, at least two OHK attacks, causes frenzy, and you lose health just by being close to her. I wish it was easy to stay on her back, but it gets hard. I just fought her four times in a row over my lunch break (After trying to beat her for two hours last night), and each time got her down to a sliver of health and then got killed.

Don't feel bad. That place is sucky. I only understood that they were respawners because I'd already encountered their kind in the Chalice Dungeons.

I meant "summoning Bell Maidens" as in "they summon enemies." Not players.

I'm still in the courtyard and it looks interesting but fuck those initial enemies. Like fucking hell that shit is creepy. The way they move, the way their hair moves... Kill it with fire.

Yeah, that whole area is somewhat analogous to the
Catacombs from Dark Souls
.

Despite the fact that they are no longer really a threat to me I am so unnerved by these guys still:

Superb character design and animation.

These things are so overpowered it's ridiculous. Nothing else in the entire Castle is as strong as these fuckers. I just ignore them.

Okay, I need someone's help clearing this area. Im level 62 and just been stuck here for hours now and just want to get past it.

Its the area right before the One Reborn fight, where the lady is ringing the bell. I cant beat it. Ive done it slow and methodical, Ive done it agressive, but something usually gets a hit on me, and its the stun-stun-stun-dead dance.

If you can assist, let me know. Ill set up the password and be ringing the bell right outside the gates to the place.

For the new page. Tried for the billionth time, died again.

But I want them DEAD. I hate hearing them and hate leaving shit. But yeah, I might have to bypass them. I'd been kicking ass pretty well up until those sick things.

Yeah, that whole area is somewhat analogous to the
Catacombs from Dark Souls
.

I feel like the area you mentioned was even worse though because the path was so constrained. It's a lot harder to get to your necromancer-type jerkfaces without having to smash down their army of respawning mooks first. In this I just sprint right to the smug idiots and axe them to stop.

I certainly liked the boss design for
Ebrietas
, but everything else on her move list falls flat, insanely cheap, though this isn't exactly the most cheapest one shot boss[I'm looking at you chalice dungeons] as her moves are pretty easy to dodge once you get the hang of it. I was certainly dissapointed when
Ebrietas
didn't appear appear in that throne-like room then what was presented in the Project Beast Trailer, such a shame

So you've beat the game three times? And the Ebrietas elevator glitched on you during one of those playthroughs? Is there anything you'd recommend to avoid that glitch? I'm thinking I might copy a backup of a save right before the Upper Cathedral, just to be safe. I'm also playing offline -- maybe that will help, since another glitch (the one in the woods) seems to be triggered by co-op/PvP.

Only one playthrough, if you backup your save before
Gehrman you can get all endings, just quit and copy the save over the existing one. Do it in this order submit, refuse, refuse prior to consuming 3 cords. This way you can continue NG+ with Gehrman's badge.

As for the elevator glitch don't co-op there, that's how mine got fucked.

If your fighting her with lock on, you can't use the strategy of sticking to her like glue.
If you want to use lock on you need to wait for chances to hit her head and keep some distance from her.

I think the part I found the creepiest was their
large, red, and bloated bellies. Maybe they were pregnant women
.

What happens if I killed Eileen on the first encounter I had with her? I'm assuming all of her quests go out the window?

She doesn't just respawn at some later point in the game, correct? Dead is usually dead forever in the Souls games. So, if that is the case, that sucks for me!

just did the first chalice dungeon, I liked it, even tho I completely blew through it since im so overlvled for it. but its a great idea / system for the game, hopefully it comes back in souls games also

so now I got 2 more chalices, one says central, one says root. from what I understand from a tutorial video I watched, the central ones is the next in progression, and the root ones are randomly generated and are just for getting loot / material and whatnot correct?

I wasn't too much higher when I killed DP.
Make sure you equip some gear that has lightning resist. Outside of that I just stayed close, dodging his attack and striking when there was an opening. Only time I backed off was when he did the lightning charge up AoE.

Gaf, anyone able to help me out with
Ebrietas, Daughter of the Cosmos
? Got her to 10% like 10 times already, but her enrage/spell shit drives me crazy. The spell spam literally 2 shots me.

The upper

Yes that's correct. For your level, you should ignore that particular Root unless you lack the materials for the next proper Chalice.
