I dont know if it's me but I find parrying with the gun so inconsistant, I try to shoot at different stage of the attack animation and I have always a different result, sometime it works sometime it doesn't.
I tried to play on my monitor for a quicker input lag, it was a bit better but not that much.
Parrying in Souls was much easier.
It kinda ruins the game for me, I m relying only on dodge for defense now, I cleared the game like this and I feel I missed the gun part of the game :/

There's a boss there. It's the hardest boss in the game, the only one I died more than 10 times on while I beat all the others in less than 5.
Up the ladder on floor one, up some stairs and do some falling.
Any hot tip on its location? I feel I explored that place pretty thoroughly.
The gun bullet has a travel time. The further you are from the enemy, the earlier you have to do a parry. You will find more consistency in timing parries if you do it at similar distances.

The option was there with the other stuff your can ask him. It's the summons you get from Cainhurst and not the one for you, right?

Okay I watched the cutscene again on YouTube and still had no idea so I caved and checked a FAQ, which says that I need to
let myself be killed by one of the shoulder-baggers.
I can't travel to that bonfire from the hunters dream. Says "not working" or something.

Debating continuing chalice dungeons or just finishing the game tomorrow. Kinda ready to move on tbh (I'm not a big ng+ person, in any game), if I do finish it and move to ng+, will that reset my chalice dungeons or make them harder?
That FAQ was wrong.
The cutscene let you know the password for the door in the Cathedral Ward.

I was on the roofs quite a bit but when I fell off at the end of the line I died instantly so I figured there was nothing else. Lots of loot though.
You've killed Rom, haven't you? You'll be able to get to that bonfire again through the area that you're pointed at after Rom.

Generally speaking, you want to bait her to make that jump attack when you are a good distance away from her for quick and easy multiple hits (dodge to the RIGHT, not to the left)... get ready to rush in if she heals herself though. She did it once with me and that move was nasty... thankfully she did it only once and Ludwig's Holy Blade did a wonderful job of chipping that health back down.
Yeah, generally speaking dodge to the right side, IIRC. Bring flamethrower, it'll help. And of course fire paper. Molotovs is ehhhhhhhhhhhhhhh........ it's hard to aim with them sometimes and they prone to miss :/
I'll help you out if I am not at the office right now, haha.
Get Ludwig's Holy Blade man! It'll help tremendously.

Lol! I'm here trying not to die from laughing so much. GF came over and decided to try out Bloodborne. She's never played the Souls games before so BB is her first "Souls" game. She's been stuck fighting Father G for the past four hours. She skipped Cleric Beast after dying one too many times to it. She's been cursing at the TV for two hours now. I keep telling her to give up and she keeps telling me to fuck off.
She went with Professional as her Origin and Cane + Pistol as starting gear. I gave her a quick rundown of BB's stat and scaling systems beforehand.

Oh man I found a guy I sent to the ward
The sheer amount of random shit you can do in this game is flabbergasting sometimes. Been playing hours tonight and haven't done the same thing twice, even in the Forest. It's amazing
went back to the ward after dying to often in the forest and needed a break. Then I notice the old lady is now dead and the dude is outside. So I talk to him and he give me beast pellets. So he must of killed the lady!
So whats is a man to do except exact revenge? So I smack him around with my hammer and suddenly turns into a giant beast and is now kicking my ass lmao

Story wise just 2 more bosses and then you're at the point of no return. There's a bunch of optional content that you can do though.

I generally have good experience with randoms, but I still strongly believe the bolded. PvE in this game is a joke.

I've come to the conclusion that as much as I love BB, I hate NG+.
Fighting
. First of all, Boss runs are tedious and I'd kill for a checkpoint before the boss. These stopped being of any interest in DkS2, and I'm sick of them now. Every game it's the same - clear the area meticulously of enemies, then reach the boss. If you die, just run past everything as you won't get hit if you sprint. No skill, just busy work.
Only, despite beating most bosses on my first or second go in my initial run, now they take off 50% of my health with each hit. It's not fun. Especially with gank squads like the above. Got a maxed out Ludwig nearly and +50 Str and +42 Skill and I don't do much damage outside of counters.
And I can counter them, easily. It's just hard to focus on dodging their attacks that come half way across the screen when you're focusing on their buddy. Not fun.

One more main area but there's a lot of side stuff in this game.
I actually had to do them a few times, it was really annoying for similar reasons. Some crazy reach off camera attacks that whack massive HP from you.
That's entirely dependant on how much optional content you've done/would like to d, as well as the ending you choose. Could be a lot could be not that much
I just learned you can only get a blood rock from a specific chalice dungeon once. I tried removing the chalice and putting the code in again. I went to the chest it was in, but only got an insight item. Oh well. Hopefully I run into more / find more codes that people have found blood rocks with.

After beating the 5th boss, I just tried get summoned to help random people in Forbidden Woods and another area a bit further, and had no sucess at all...
For a game that requires so much connectivity it's really annoying how they have not patched it yet!
Edit: Nvm, I'm dumb. I forgot to take the password off! lol
I actually completely missed
that guy, though I did hear about him from a friend who had all the people he sent to the chapel die and was pissed as hell and couldn't figure out why till that guy was the last one left. Suffice to say I didn't bother looking for that guy.
