Eileen is your hunter friend/guide/master.

You can find her after you kill the dogs in cages, near Yharnam bridge, you go down, there's a stair and at the right side, a lot of destructible barrels are positioned in front of a door/passage. Enter that door/passage, and the right side of this area, has another door/passage. There you will find Eileen.

Blocked out the spoiler, but I hope its not too late to see her. Don't know how I missed her, but I'll try going back.

Edit: OH NOW I REMEMBER. I did actually see her earlier, but I never saw her again later. Oh well. If I find her, I find her, if I don't she's probably dead or I'm just dumb.

LVL 42 Hunter LFG. lol, no but I'm going to be hanging around at 40 a while in case someone needs help with Vicar, Parl etc. Using the Gaf Password. Currently near Amelia, so let me know if you want help.

I figured out the secret, guys! Just run inside the bosses and mash light attack to recover all the damage so you never need to run away!

Except I get one-shot by almost everything :-(

The nice thing about getting one-shotted is that I don't need to farm potions anymore.

Okay the boss for floor 3 of the loran chalice just crazy aggressive lol .
Die twice trying to parry him but had to do it the old fashion dodge way

Also i don't even know what to level any more .
Vit - 50
Eud - 40
Str - 45
skill 55
Other 2 at 10 .
anyone got any ideas

God I am SO in love with the way the Doll costume looked on my Huntress (except the stupid looking skirt, that is)

WHY OH WHY THE STAT IS SO SUCKY OR THAT WE CANNOT IMPROVE CLOTHING STAT? T____________T

Cleric --> Gascoigne --> BSB --> Her for me.

I personally found BSB to be a great deal more intimidating to fight than her, considering his poisonous attacks.

Ditto on both points.

I think ordering kind of depends on whether you spent 10k on the key. If you didn't then the natural order is to do BSB before VA.

Oh... I bought the key as soon as I could hehe.
Dark Souls sindrome of farm souls to buy every item.
If expensive, it's a MUST HAVE x.x

Fuuuuuuck I think I accidentally found some secret boss or something in cainhurst or maybe its the main boss but I have 75k souls I don't want to lose!

Edit: aaaaaaand i died lol

Is this game one of the best examples ever of slowly drifting into madness?

Everything starts a bit serene. Odd yes within Yharnam, but everything seems ... oddly normal.

Then ... as time passes ... it just slowly drifts into utter madness and you are swept away feeling like Alice or something. Tumbling down the rabbit hole of someones worst nightmares. All the while wondering just what in the blue fuck is going on.

uuhhh what?

The level cap for coop. I believe the difference cannot be bigger than 10 levels plus 10% of your current level.

I bought it too, since at first I didn't know there's another way around and it took quite a long while before I was braving a fight against BSB with the intent of winning, lol.

How do people farm for chalice dungeon materials?

I just got "
a call beyond
" and it requires Arcane 40 Lolz. Has anyone tried it? Is it good? It says "
create a small star explosion
".

SUPER DUPER SPOILER
Later you will find her fighting a hunter, and you must help her kill that hunter. But please, don't hit her. You could kill her... I killed... and don't know the damage it will cause...

I killed Eileen as soon as I could. She had something I wanted and wasn't about to wait any longer to get them.

Hopefully that doesn't mess up the story too much. Can't say I feel too remorseful though.

Blades of Mercy are easily the best weapons in the game I've come across.

Beat the game yesterday and boy was it worth the wait. An absolute masterpiece unrivaled by any game currently on the PS4 or Xbox One. I think Bloodborne and Bayonetta 2 are the two games that are standing head and shoulders above everything else at the start of this new gen. Truly masterclass in design.

Can anyone possibly help me with
Embrietas
? Literally the last thing I need to do before I can give myself a pat on the back.

Downed boss to less than a quarter of health and then I died and now I'm salty.

I just beat
Shadow of Yharnam
on my 8th try. I think it is actually one of the easier fights in the game. I came really close to beating it on my 1st try, but got greedy. Next 6 tries or so I kept getting frustrated and making dumb mistakes. My strat was
kill the fireball guy first, since his fireball spam is annoying. I killed the fire spitting dude afterwards, as his fire attack was an instant death for me. The last homie wasn't too strong without his buddies. I'm sure the better strat would be to get all of them down to 50% or so before they transform, but oh well, beat it!

For the next area...
Should I go to the Unseen Village before the area with the spider boss? Which area is more difficult (I know that is subjective, but..)

Stay in its asscrack at all times. When it does
its magic deal just roll like hell, no lock on.

Unseen Village
is a super-hard area.

Definitely the toughest boss for me so far.

Let me know if you need help, I'd love to kill them again.

Sucks I had the one down the other one at 10% and had just the fire caster left, got greedy and died. I was on a 4 boss 1 attempt streak too -_-

Fucking SOY

I managed to beat them on my first try. Here's what I did

-Stunlocking them with my shortened Saw Spear helped do a significant chunk. Use a fast weapon and get them in a combo
-I
went for the mage, then the katana, then the fire breather in that order
-I also used a bolt paper. Don't know how much difference it made, but fire paper looked useless.

The last phase of the fight is by far the toughest when the last guy can summon the snakes which are really hard to dodge. That's why I'd recommend NOT saving the Katana guy for last so you can just get in there and keep swinging on whoever's left so they can't summon the snakes.

I'm abandonning my arcane build, I just found out that putting a fire gem on my weapon doesn't make it engulfed in flame, & even worse, I can't use fire paper on them.

I'll go back to my NG+ skill build, it's probably the best build for the burial blade anyway, are there gems that can raise skill scaling from B to S?

Goddamit.

You know that sidequest where you send people to safety?

I sent the old lady to
Oedon's
and some prostitute to
Iosefka's
because
"there's nothing to be afraid of!"
creeps me the fuck out. Despite this, I knew I shouldnt have
sent the prostitute to Iosefka
because the conversation I had at the
clinic after sending her there
sent a chill down spine. I knew this would be the case but I needed to finally hear it to believe it

Both of these characters have that one great line delivery that makes me SO uncomfortable

EDIT : AND NOW I see a note on the ground that tells me my suspicion was right. DAMMIT! I WISH I COULD REVERSE MY DECISION. I have so much ragret!

I learned something real shitty today. Apparently, you can only get 1 Blood Rock in Chalice Dungeons. If you try to get another one, it replaces it with another useless item.

You can't "properly" do unseen village without doing that boss first I'm afraid. He sucks, but there it is.

Your approach to the previous boss fight was the same as mine: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qKCUB8PM5Uc

And you were right,
the final dude is easy to kill. Easy counters, you can see above. I wasn't sure if NG+ had them transform sooner though. I swear they only powered up after one of them had died in my first run through. The final dude is easy to push into a corner though - he's forced to retreat if you get too close so you can just dash in, hit him again, wait for him to reposition, and repeat.

Finally tried a chalice dungeon. Is there any notification when a chalice is "completed"? I cleared the third floor of the first chalice you get and it doesn't look like there's anywhere else to go. Do I just remove it from the gravestone now or am I blind?

When it comes to a dead end with a lamp, its over.

Fucking SOY

I'm on these assholes right now.
Was sooooo close to killing them, too. Last guy only had a sliver of health and he got in a lucky snake summon. I got the method down, though. Take out the mage, then the guy with the candle, then pure melee dude - but stay all up in his shit with a fast melee weapon so he can't summon the snakes
.

Wow... Faced DBP now. NG+. Completely different experience. Much more agressive than before. I'll spend some insight just in case.

Can you put fire gems on them without losing arcane damage?

I learned this a few hours ago. No idea if it's just the specific dungeon and you can find another code/dungeon with it and loot one again, or all together just once.
