the boss in forbidden forest was easy what gives me the most trouble is the hunter in that mansion after forest…god damn does he use
mega soul arrow?

I feel like you're playing the game wrong man, don't do that to yourself and spoil everyting you're going to see on one playthrough! Half the experience in a souls game is that sense of exploration and wonder at whats coming around the corner

I am almost at the end of the game... I didn't spoil anything. I'm just collecting a few things that I missed.

First time? Wow Nib thats awesome.

Also playing with NO HUD is

Awesome, and terrifying.

Yea, I use HUD off if it's an area I'm familiar with sometimes, namely to save my TV from any burn in lol.

On a side note, if you die at a boss, does it absorb your blood echoes, or do they just lay about near the boss?

I've rung my bell 3 times times with zero success.

be in the same spot. if the boss in the area has been completed by the one requesting, it wont happen. So the most important part ( this is dumb) the person with the small resonant bell has to ring it FIRST, wait a bit, then the beckoning bell is rung. Backwards, but its worked every single time.

Oh boooooo that's lame, I always liked how the Maiden in Black would just lay there for a few seconds before getting back up and apologizing for being unable to die.

I think Miyazaki wanted to freak out people who knew about Maiden. you'd stand there and wait and Doll won't come back.

Curious what peoples thoughts on
Reiterpallasch
are. Esp for pvp. I can't use it since I have invested 0 in bloodtinge, but have invested in arcane and skill which the weapons seems tailored to. Don't want to bother if it isn't any good though.

Yes applying with those weird rules worked on me and my friend. We also set the network to "worldwide" and set up a password. Sometimes restoring game works too.

Almost positive that they've acknowledged a bug in that area when trying to coop that can break the game, Basically until they patch it, you don't want to try coop in the woods, is what I read. I'd offer exact source but the source is one of the hundreds of pages in one of these OT threads.

They did fix the co-op bug with the latest patch; patch notes are listed in the OP. But the problems this guy is having sound new. I haven't heard of anything like it. Maybe it's because he used Hunter's Mark?

Just a random yes or no question about the boss, T

Is there a certain "trick" to it (e.g. finding a way to take out the bell maidens beforehand)? I didn't see a way to get up to them.
I don't need any particular details.

I need some help, i was trying to summoning somebody and then i took a break. When i came back a half hour later i was dead so something must have happend. Now my life is slowly going down like if i was poisened (not as fast as slow poison but still pretty fast). If i die ot will just continue to do that when i come back to life. And it dosn't work to use a Antidote.
Anybody?

honestly the most chill I have ever been for any fight ever
I went in with half my amount of blood vials whilst waiting for a summon that was evidently not showing and didn't care, and breezed through it

Also just found the shortcut with the glowy altars
in the second floor
lecture hall
now, not sure whats up here as Ive cleared the bottom floor before

Anyone can game share to help me kill Cleric Beast?

Wait... are you talking NG+? Otherwise, I'm pretty confused.

Not only that, but you have a history with Dark 1/2 and Demon's... I'm having trouble believing you were that stuck on such a simple boss (in Souls terms) in standard NG. He's certainly straight-forward.

I'm not suggesting anything nefarious is going down... just puzzled.

I swear, all the best timing for me in the world came out right for Bloodborne's release. Was supposed to have a big exam this week, but it got postponed til April 16th now, and just today I learned that my Spring Break already started. It's like the stars have aligned for me to play even more Bloodborne! Hopefully can finish NG+ before the weekend starts, then I'm gonna start seeing what's up with the Chalice dungeons since I haven't even touched one yet.

Oh shit loool

By the way, when the bell maiden comes to your co-op session... The constant bell-ringing makes my heart racing with anxiety and the sound of the bell is so ominous! Good thing you have a buddy on your side.

There appears to be 2 general strategies for all bosses:

1. Learn the moveset, evade, get behind, attack and retreat, use caution... or

2. Two-hand the Axe and stand under the boss spamming R2 attacks.

Almost every Youtube video I watch does number 2... Makes each boss seem easy.

Under the boss? How do you do that lol.

hah its easy to miss… at the end of river (the second pig) there is a path to shortcut a gate(if thats your shortcut). Well there is a fork in that road, u either go to shortcut with gate or go down to boss.

I'm lost here too. Where is the
shortcut to the iron gate for the lamp at the beginning of the stage? I cleared out the village and then went down a ways and cleared out a bunch of snakes. I got the lift working, but I can't find the shortcut to the lamp. I know it has to be close.

Yea the second time I die I thought it might be because of that. But when I left my friend's game after beating that boss it put me right back in the boss room. That area is just a mess. Tons of pop in, audio issues, and frame rate issues as well. Love the area and how huge it is though.

It's always amusing to see "boss strategy" videos where the strategy involves having an enormous bar of health and spamming the axe's charge attack.

I think he means dodging forward to the boss, getting right in his side and pulling a charged R2/ Wombo Combo?

Finished the game
replaced the wheelchair man

Any tips for NG+ (beated the two first bosses)

I'm only up to Byrgenworth, but
I had a decently hard time with Amelia and Witches in NG+, especially compared to NG due to the increased health. Witches was able to revive the other one in my fight about 3 times, it lasted quite a while lol

I wonder what the overall consensus of this game is for you guys. I like it more than DSII, but maybe not as much as DS1. It's deffinately a bit shorter, but makes it up with like 3 areas that are hidden and completely optional.

I love it in some ways - the setting and presentation are amazing. Enemy design is great and there's no lack of content. But in terms of my own enjoyment I wouldn't put it over its predecessors. I feel the playstyle encouraged by the game just doesn't fit me that well, but I might not have just picked the right build. I'm really into counterattacks but of course those are limited. I thought I'd enjoy an Arcane build but the 'toys' aren't that interesting outside of blood lure + molotovs. And everything in chalice dungeons gets so much hp that strategy gets outclassed quickly...even rats are surviving two molotovs with 33 arcane!

I've heard there's a rune that gives bullets back on visceral attacks - I think with that, clawmark, and HP return as well as a bloodtinge build I could create something more my style. Part of me even wants to just restart since I fucked up every single NPC storyline, but I don't think I could handle grinding through all those chalice dungeons again before seeing the ending.

GOT FUCKIN REKT

Felt the same way after I killed that boss.

Are there items/weapons that can only be obtained from NG+ (sans chalice dungeons)?

yea, that too but i find everyone has trouble after doing all that. Doing coop dungeons is really fun

My apologies, once the thread gets past 25 pages or so I tend to forget to look back at the OP for updated info...gotta remember that on these OT's. Good to see they fixed that but hate to hear people are still having issues. I've never had success with coop in any area, even when we all used the same pw, etc...

It happend in
Castle Cainhurst
but it stull happends when i go back to Hunters Dream.

Hmm, strange. I'm not too sure then. I left mine guy idle in a safe spot but when I woke up I was at a lamp but that was due to an invasion, I had no lasting status effects.

This is the third time I am asking this, where is the
crow masked
npc ? I missed her at the beginning.

Her initial location: Near the sewer entrance. When you enter, don't go down the stairs where an enemy patrols. There's a passage hidden by a bunch of crates. Destroy them, and you end up in the rafters. She is just past another doorway.

If you're far in the game, try to warp to Tomb of Oedon or Grand Cathedral.

Oh man. I tried to make a Pthumerian Elder video that showed off parry timings for all his moves. It was a really tough boss that gave me tons of trouble until I learned him inside and out so I figured others would have similar issues. Nope, turns out if you just have a giant health bar and mash heavy attacks with certain weapons he can't fight back. None of those are weapons I use though.

in the dogs part, where the dog is barking at the old lady's door, instead of go the stairs down, just smash the crates in that room and you'll be walking trough the wooden beams, if you go right you'll find that NPC

Thanks ! I know where that is. Saw that in the IGN video. Will try later.

Edit: No, I misunderstood that. In the IGN Video she was by the dogs. I know where she initially was, but I missed her and now she's nowhere to find.

I feel you as a cane user. That boss was brutal at first until I got my parries down perfectly. But I enjoy the challenge and the satisfaction of overcoming it in a way that feels legitimate to me.
