Does anyone else have issues with summoning help? I spend like 15 insight but I never got any help. I waited each time between 5-10 Minutes. I tried to help others and that worked perfectly fine.

Try powering down your PS4 and restarting into Online play...I tried all kinds of stuff when it was doing it to me one night. It's been ok lately.

a tough boss but the whole area is impossible. The big monsters hit like trucks and are fast as anything, they even come in groups. Then there's the
3 hunters
who are practically untouchable due to the onslaught they can rein down.

I was really looking to beat this game but I don't think I'm gonna have much more steam left. I feel like I just hit another DS2 area of bullshit. I've hardly fought anything in this area because it all flurries me to death in one go.

My first time through
Unseen Village
I just sprinted through it. Ignored most of the items and enemies. Boss is really fairly easy compared to most in the game (of course YMMV but it seems like most would agree on that) and it's not hard to get to him unscathed from the second lamp by sprinting. I went back to it later after leveling up more to pick everything I missed and kill stuff. That area seemed to represent the biggest jump in difficulty from previous areas in the entire game, for me at least.
 
I'm having problems summoning now. Spent 3 insights near R
om
with no success at all. Just restarted the game to see if it helps.

Where on earth did you get those gems from? i have only a plus 12%.

Yeah, you get great loot from them, plus the hogs for Blood. If you don't want spoilers about weapons, then don't read this, but there's
A great weapon called TOnitius (or something like that) which delivers shock damage.

The old dup glitch doesn't work with the latest patch. And I haven't heard anyone talking about a new dup glitch...

But if you didn't plug your PS4 into the internet since the patch was released then you could continue to play in offline mode in the unpatched game and continue to dup all you want... however I think if you use your PS4 online then your gonna automatically download the patch and you'll have to install it too.
 
farming the hell out of the lecture hall guys with all 3 echo increasing runes on..need to up my HP for the defiled dungeons.

anyone found any better spots? I'm getting 22K every 30 seconds or so, I like how little attention I have to pay since I can 1 shot the mobs.
 
If you die during the
Micolash fight in Mensis Nightmare
do you lose your blood echoes? I died with a decent chunk of echoes and now cant seem to find them at all.

Well I wonder if it's easier beating the game on a new character or doing it again on NG++.

Things don't seem to hit hard to have more health in NG++, so that might be easier.

I was stuck on this fight for a while, trying to do it "normally" because I thought parries would be too risky and I could do good damage without it. But they're the way to go. You are exposed to fewer of his dangerous long combos if you're trying to knock him out of them and he's surprisingly easy to stun. If he does the move where he tries to grab you toward him with the sycthe, dodge backwards. Try not to roll into that one, I find the camera goes crazy and I get messed up by the following attacks. Kinda just spammed parry on every normal attack and dashed backwards whenever I was in trouble. I had visceral atk +20% and visceral attack + 200 health runes which were very helpful. I use'd Ludwig's Blade and after most visceral attacks I could follow up with some heavy R1s/L2s.

In the second form when he jumps in the air and does his tornado AOE effect, it tends to hit to the side and in front of him. I have to unlock the camera to see where the hell it's going to land

maybe I should buy a faster gun than the pistol? I cant seem to get the parries out fast enough
 
I found one blood chunk and then nothing for several hours hence. Anywhere good to find these? Just passed

That's what I keep hearing, but would you have to start massively stacking your endurance for this to be viable? Currently I've got 20 END

You want higher End than that, up to 40. Also you want to hunt for some Stamina runes.

Once that dual wield form starts comboing on an enemy the damage stacks up real fast.
 
Just putting this out there for people having trouble. By the Catherdral
with the two hunters...you can drop down onto a roof and sneak behind the blunderbuss hunter for a visceral attack. Then back up and keep him away from the electric mace hunter as not to disturb him. He will not attack. Once you kill the blunderbuss hunter do the same sneak attack to the other. Even if you die, you will only have to come back and deal with one. Just something I found recently I thought I would share. That mace hunter is no joke, though.

Thanks for the answer. I also tried that several times. The game tells me that it discovered a bell that is answering and I hear a sound for a moment but after that nothing happens anymore.
 
So thoughts on NG+? Are there any extra enemies around like DS2? I know the obvious like the enemies have more hp, hit harder, and more blood echoes, etc.
 
Do I have to do Chalice Dungeons to get a Blood Gem with a 15 or higher rating?
Is there any place in the main game where you can get a Blood Gem with a 15 or higher rating?
 
So my copied arrived FINALLY yesterday, after some unexpected delay. Downloaded the patch and created my hunter, trying to make him like Banshee's Antony Starr because his character is awesome. Got lazy midway through, though, and he ended up looking like a bald and bearded Jared Leto. Fine with me, can still see Lucas Hood fucking monsters up.

Gonna give it a good go tonight, wish me luck. I hope Bloodborne is creepier than previous Souls games, which by the looks of it it's true. Love me some horror game.
 
So can anyone tell me what has been the difference with root chalice dungeons and the custom chalice dungeons?

What kind of custom stuff happens?

kill the 2 sack dudes, the witch, the 2 pigs outside, all the wolves to the left and the sack guy over top of the tonitrus. Tons of eash echoes fast. The pigs are 3500 a piece

I thought the root ones were the custome ones? lol I have no idea how this works

What do you guys think happened to Ludwig and Archibald?
 
What lvl were you guys when you went to
Cainhurst Castle? These insect things outside are giving me some problems and if enemies get even tougher inside the castle then I might as well come back when I'm a little stronger.

I am trying to beat Gerhman, but is it possible to summon people to help me or should i not even try that?
