Watching others struggle gives me the urge to struggle in this game.

Watched the level 4 streamer again last night, he was trying so hard on E
brietas
. I didn't stick around to see if he defeated her, but I hope so. Really enjoyed watching that the past couple of nights.

Switched it up to a dude doin some Chalice Dungeons, and he was mad confident about killing everything... until he popped into the fog, and got the A
bhorrent
B
east
! haha dude couldn't get within any sort of range, got owned a good 10 times before he said "fuck it" This guy straight cheesed the beast down with his pistol. Was laughing so hard, and happy for him at the same time.

All that got me motivated to play, and I basically farmed some blood vials, and got owned for 3-4 hours of D
arkbeast
P
aarl
attempts. I only got him to half health like twice... I'm level 30 now, and I don't wanna ring that bell. I've been playing completely offline to avoid frame rate issues, ever since my first trip in Old Yarhnam, and I'd like to stay that way, but this boss is crushing.

I just lost a couple hours of progress.
Elevator was stuck in the down position so I couldn't get to the boss. The lever said the device was inoperable and when I did use it nothing happened. No amount of zoning or exit/reloading helped. Had to roll back to a cloud save :\

Wait...wtf. I thought the patch fixed the elevator problems.

Umm...

I just beat D
arkbeast Paarl
on my first attempt. I thought I would get crushed judging by all the horror stories I've read in this thread :/

Has it been confirmed whether co-op gets harder if you have more insight? I've tried using my small beckoning bell with 40-something insight, and I get instantly one-shot by non-boss enemies that I would wreck in my own game. I also seem to do about 1/5 as much damage as normal.

I beat him on my first try too. It wasn't pretty and I only had 3-4 vials left when it was over, but he was pretty straightforward. Get under him and hack his legs.

So my
Crow
got killed by
Henryk
. Any way for me and coop bros to go gack and
murder him
or do I have to do this solo aka anyway to cheese this bastard.

I'm saving
Paarl
for last on my current character. I'm going to smash his fucking face in at level 100.
You don't really need him for anything significant as far as I know.
You get a shortcut that lets you befriend gatling gun guy, but fuck that guy. Climb up the ladder and dash through his shotgun blast, then R1, R1, fall to your death bye bye.

Killed the Shadows of Yarnham and Witch bosses first time. Felt like a badass even though they're clearly meant to be easy ones.

Also cleared the second two bosses of the first chalice dungeon first time so did quite well today.

I'm at the next boss now, I was able to summon earlier in the level but can't find anyone now dammit.

I can't find E
ileen
the C
row
. I've completed central yharnam, cathedral ward, old yharnam and hemwick charnel. I looked for her in Cathedral Ward but can't find her in her usual spot and she's not on central yharnam.
Did I miss her completely and irreversibly now? :/

If you wanna know how to easily beat Micolash...
Turn right and go up the stairs as soon as you enter the boss room, take the next first right and clear out the two skeletons in this room. Now exit and go up the stairs to your right all the way up to the fog door. From here turn left and run to the end, then you should see him down the stairs, follow him straight into the little room where you killed the skeletons. They may or may not respawn while you fight him. At 50% health when he takes off, just follow, you go through the fog door and eventually end up chasing him to a room where he jumps down, then runs to another room and closes a gate, as long as he is headed toward that you can just take a detour and go up again, at the top of the stairs turn right and there should be a ledge you can walk on against the wall with a door there, drop down on top of him. He will follow the exact same route every time if you do it this way. You can skip every single add in the maze with the exception of those two in the room. When he casts his aoe attack just dash toward him while locked on, if you do it right you get invincibility frames through the whole thing and take no damage. Sounds harder than it is, once someone here told me the dodging toward him part I beat him first try.

As long as you stay close to the boss, the boss will only use the
tentacle
attack and punches.

This is what i did:Hit -> avoid
tentacle
attack and punches(but staying close to the boss) ->Repeat.

The boss will not use
magic
attack at all, if you are keeping a short distance!

Thanks guys. I really have the bad habit of evading backwards, getting farther to the boss (so triggering ranged attacks).

Shit has been tense for me today in Bloodborne land.
Unseen Village
and the second N
ightmare
were tough as fuck, I'm drained now lol

Beat the game today including all optional bosses. Such an amazing experience and glad I decided to give it a shot. Never really got into the Souls games other than maybe a few hours worth, so I expected to get frustrated and not even make it past the first couple bosses. Luckilly everything about this game exceeded my expectations and sucked me into this world more than I would have anticipated. Now straight on to New Game +

Can't he just vanishes when you hit him, lmao. That bastard. First thing I tried in NG+. He will come back though, and not aggressive either.

Well didn't hurt to try. I'm sure one of us will find something hidden eventually. I'll keep doing random crap in NG+ hoping something will happen lol.

If you are too far in the game, probably yeah...

Your level can really skew the outcome of that fight.

I got stomped superb hard for the first part of the fight. Then I worked out the trick and blasted the health away and finished it with a visceral. What lvl was I intended to be? I even uploaded the vid since I was super proud to stumble upon it and learn it's tricks so fast. Hoping I wasn't OP and genuinely won by skill cause it felt awesome.

Umm...

I just beat D
arkbeast Paarl
on my first attempt. I thought I would get crushed judging by all the horror stories I've read in this thread :/

I 2 shot him the first time i killed him, then on my second playthrough after 6 or 7 attempts i didn't get him below 75% health. Depending of what order his attacks come out in, he can be a pain.

FYI, you don't need to kill Paarl to
get behind Djura. Just warp to Blood Starved Beast lantern and walk back to his ladder and he'll be friendly.

So what is the deal with the Chalice missions exactly?
First time playing the map design is same for everybody? You re-do the ritual and the map will randomize?

ROM is fucking me

I beat this guy on my second attempt and I don't really get why people consider it so hard. I
t seems like it's just a matter of hanging back and waiting for the spiders to leave an opening that you can dash through and land a couple of hits before rolling away. The blue meteor things seem totally dodgeable if you're rolling to the right.

In fairness, I did this fight at about level 80. Good chance I was just over-leveled since I could take a couple of sloppy hits and still get away to heal up if needed.

Hello BloodGAF,

I have problems with Rom and I just can't find anyone for help. Am I over leveled (54 I think)? I almost never lost Blood Echos and just leveled as it was possible for me. Could someone help me? A PM would be nice.

Shoot, I'm 62. I think I can take him if I'm more patient.

Ok, not a boss but how on earth am I supposed to take down the
fast Yellow hunter with the repeating pistol who Eileen is fighting in Father G's graveyard?
I'm finding this guy harder than any of the bosses I've encountered!

Hit him with about four visceral attacks and it's barely taken him to half health, seems resistant to fire and poison daggers, must be another weakness I'm not aware of... or do I just need to level more and come back?

I'm using cane (+5), skill/dex build, lvl 33.

PS -
I've actually already picked up Eileen's Crow badge (although I was trying to help her survive to complete her quest line) so is it even worth fighting this guy - do I get anything from it?

Seems pretty difficult to get summoned on this, just sat at
The One Reborn
waiting. Although it's a nice easy fight for souls.

What level are you? I was like early 60s when I helped two people beat it earlier today. Didn't take long at all to find them either.

That was how I did it as well. Was level 60, but I'd put quite a few points into VIT, so that probably helped.

Does the Chalice Dungeons difficulty increases also in NG +? or is it something completely apart?
I know I´m close to the end now, and while one part of me doesn´t want it to end, on the other hand I just can´t wait to see the ending.

After four hours fighting this damn Watchdog I think I'm done with this game. I refuse to grind for souls to buy vials anymore. It only takes 5 minutes but I don't want to do it anymore. Estus was the shit. Just thank god the loading times in chalice dungeons aren't as long as out in the full world or I'd have cut my wrists 3 hours ago.

The worst part is that I had him down to nearly 15% but my tv fucking glitched out and I had to turn it off and back on in the middle of the fight. If my health wasn't halved or he didn't have close to 100,000 health for some reason I could so do it. I put so much damage into him with each couple of swings. UGH.

Ya, I climbed up there and tried to fight him straight up 1v1, but he kept stunning me, so I r2 charged attacked (when I was still using the axe) and it pushed him right off the edge :p Hmm, so nothing comes from Defeating DBP? What about that lady crying down in the bottom? Who is that?

Ya, the first few times I faced him, and he jumped from distance, I was able to avoid very easily, then he just started landing on me every time no matter how I dodge. I try to stay underneath, but if you go underneath, and start mashing his legs to stun him, you have to be really precise, because one miss on the legs, while he is charging his
electro shock
and you miss the stun while you're caught in swing animation without time to recover and gain distance.

I was thinking maybe the strat, is to just be sorta op when you face him, but I'm not giving up. Never give up!

WTF was in a chalice depth 3 recking fools and got disconnected from server and brought back to main menu

seems like the servers are down ?

edit : seems like its psn thats down :/

What difference do the tombstones for the chalice dungeons make?

There seems to be 6-7 of them.

And also do you need to complete all the rituals to progress? For example I did the first 2 in order, found them too easy then skipped to the last one of the chalice cups I had for that type?
