Fire Emblem If (2 versions: ¥4700 game, ¥1852 other ver content DLC, ¥1852 3rd DLC)

Why yes, you can choose between the peace loving Hoshido and the ambitious, racist, baby killing, evil Nohr.
=/

Yeah let's stab those boring Hoshido peace lovers in the back! God I hope you can burn Hoshido to the ground and take their queen as a mistress. We probably won't because this is Fire Emblem and not Crusader Kings 2, but the thought is nice.

lmao KHlover pls

inb4 this is an option in the 3rd path

I'll be with #TeamOniichan, but I really hope that the delay in the west is because the game is really big and it comes both versions in one for the west.

Fucking terrible. If this is a party member, I am letting her die as soon as possible. And some people wonder why lots can't get into JRPGs.

I respect your opinion but knowing you're a big fan of Mortal Kombat means this post feels a bit surreal. Or do you also hate the fanservicey aspects of that series too?

Isn't she supposed to be your (adoptive) mother? They're really hitting all of the fetishes with this one!

In fairness, even if this was true it would be tame compared to half of what happens in Fire Emblem: Seisen No Keifu.

I would agree with you on it being a weak design but all i'm thinking of is why they felt the need to add jiggle physics to the cutscene.

The direct made it seem like it was 1 game with 2 story paths. Definitely going to hold off on this unless they release a third version with all of the content later down the line.

Judging by one of her posts that I saw in a MKX thread I think she does. You can still like a series while hating certain aspects of it.

You really need to ask?

But Bill said every story has 2 sides to it, so peace loving Hoshido is probably summoning some dark god or something. While Nohr is just power hungry.

Ima just chill about the pricing until NoA gives us a solid about what's going on.

Game itself looks good. Animations look nice, that one part where a character modifies the terrain gives me hope that the battles'll be a bit more dynamic, character design's good (only one or two characters stand out to me right now.) Hoping good writing makes up for the typecasting the two factions have been placed in, because completely clothing an entire faction labelled 'the bad guys' in black ain't too subtle.

Even if the western version is is one on cart Japanese games get completely fucked, well at least they could import... Oh wait, they can't cause post DS/Wii Nintendo is a bunch of fucking dicks and region locked the system.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but it looks like after Chapter 6, we get to choose our paths if you bought the DLC? So I guess majority of the game will be different, if it gets 20+ chapters like most FEs do. Not sure how much content they'll recycle between paths though.

Yep, this looks glorious.

Now the real question is which side should I choose: The peaceful one or the dark, sexy one?

Looks great, although if I end up having to choose between two, I may end up getting both.

My wallet will suffer, but if they're as good as Awakening, it'll be worth it.

No, this is FExSMT :D
Atlus is working on SMTxFE as you saw in the direct.

Oh I thought that was just another Persona game :P

anyways back on topic, im really digging the look of the game. It's cool to see the West vs East motif in a FE game.

I believe it's for Download version only... yeah, the version scheme is kinda confusing

The only thing about two versions and DLC is wanting to have all of it on one cart or not having to buy the same DLC twice. It would seriously drive me nuts to not have every bit of content on one cart with something like this.

This is in reference to the download version. It also says the once you pick one or the other, you cant select again.

EDIT: Also supposedly up through chapter 6, the content is identical.

This game looks incredible. The two versions is an interesting take, but I hope since it's delayed in the US, that we get the complete version with the third scenario as our initial release.

Now confirm some same sex relationships please. I want the blond dude and the red haired dude to stop fighting and get married.

If they pack enough content into both sides than it seems like a neat idea.

Call me crazy, but if I had to buy both versions, I'd rather each campaign be shorter and the games to be cheaper. I'm not sure I'd want to spread one FE's mechanics across two very full-length games, especially if they don't fix some of the weaknesses in Awakening's mechanics.
