I think the first one is from P4 Golden (not sure though).
We really haven't seen much more than that one...like...5 second clip, that was giffed, otaku-bait in the trailer either.

As well as what more exploration in the real world will be like.
They really should have just called this something new and cancelled SMTxFE. The reactions would have been FAR better.

Sawano music deserves to be shat on.
I can accept a different premise from what I was expecting, even though I'm still a little disappointed, but what is really putting me off about the game is the gaudy artstyle. There's no clear theme, it seems like a total mish-mash of elements. Many SMT games have a solid visual foundation to build the game upon, like the chaotic/desolate Tokyo of SMTIV/Nocturne or the combination of rural Inaba and the twisted TV world in P4. There's a consistent style through many of the elements in these game but with IR#FE we have a mess of Japanese school life, medieval fantasy weapons and mythology, apocalyptic collapse, pop idol Akiba and fashion with an added helping of unnecessary sex appeal. It leads to a confused and cheap looking game that has more in common with modern fantasy anime than either of the series it's related to.
Hopefully the game itself is still a fun experience but after seeing how visually exciting P5 will be, my excitement for this is certainly dampened.

Don't worry, nobody will waste time remembering nonsense. All those games you listed had equal amounts of people (if not MORE people) adoring everything about them from the second they were announced. You just arbitrarily decided to internalize the negativity because you didn't like hearing it.

Maybe the game starts out as a idol life simulator, but it turns out 10 hours in that the idol agency was just trying to summon lucifer using GAF's salty tears. The apocalypse happens it just turns into a straight smt game. And Marth and Dante join your party.

Well the game will have to be terrible with a terrible story and terrible characters in addition to fanservice bullshit for that to happen. So far all that can be said is that there is fanservice bullshit.

NeoGAF may not collectively hate anyone, but an awful lot of "gaffers" do seem to have an irrational hatred of Nintendo, and seem to take a perverse pleasure in watching Nintendo "fail".
Nintendo has made a lot of dumb decisions in recent years, but that doesn't change the fact that the Wii-U is a great console with a solid library of games.
But this was a official trailer for the game meant to advertise it, rather than a scene in he game.
Again this doesn't mean it represent the whole game but the style of this disappoints me.

Could also be a way to show that these people are pretty much irrelevant in the life of the protagonist. Saves the trouble to create NPC models, fits in with the artstyle and looks pretty stylish in general.

P5 has no J-pop
P5 doesn't spend half the trailer showing girls with a giant cleavage
P5 seems to be going for a "thief" theme. This other game seems to be going for an "Jpop Idol" theme

I don't know, the look at that top bar seems to indicate a "press turn" like mechanic given how much space is between turns, Maybe the combos lead into that? Once again, going on the little we have.

Also I noticed the red haired guy and the sea green haired girl attacking when clearly their portraits aren't on screen during battles. Maybe you can have 3 characters in a party and the rest assist somehow providing support in battle? You would've just gotten more "why was SMTxFE canceled for this garbage?" rather than "why was SMTxFE changed into this garbage?"

Oh I know. Just saying two great developers can still create a bad game (Duke Nukem Forever).
That was my first thought. Maybe its just a thing for an outside hub world to create the illusion of a populated city while trying to cut down on how intensive it will be. When you get to a location though all the npc are modeled normally because they can be interacted with.

It's simply not true. At all. NeoGAF eviscerated Microsoft over Xbox One, and NeoGAF was completely swamp territory for Sony for YEARS after PS3 released in 2006. NeoGAF is a place that discusses all aspects of the industry, and as a result it has little patience for when a company makes really poor decisions about its consoles that end up impacting gamers.
There is no extra hate for Nintendo, or Microsoft, or Sony. It's just they all take turns getting under the heat when they are currently fumbling, because discussing business strategy and industry revelations is a huge part of what this community is all about. Right now it's Nintendo's turn because Wii U is performing catastrophically poor and it's an interesting topic to discuss why that is. So the "why" is obviously going to be a lot of negative, because something went wrong to end up here.
The problem is when people start to take it personally because they treat these companies like their favorite sports teams, then they start to see hate everywhere and ignore all the shit that doesn't conform to their confirmation bias agenda.
Nobody said it did. I like my Wii U a lot. But it's also possible to not think it's a great console with a solid library, and there's nothing incorrect about that view. And I've seen just as much love for Wii U as I have seen hate. That's because I'm not putting on the blinders and seeing red whenever I hear negativity about Nintendo, despite them being my favorite developer.
