Bloodborne |OT3| I Cane, I Saw, I Conqu- YOU DIED

Any tips for READ ONLY MEMORY?

I'm level 62

I found killing all of the little spiders and then attacking the boss made the fight go easier. I killed the initial group, attacked Rom, then after he teleported and the second wave came, I got rid of those and then proceeded to kill Rom. Use Bolt Paper, it is very useful against Rom. And to dodge the meteors he casts at you, just run in a zig zag pattern.

Anyone? I'm guessing this screws me out of platinum on my first playthrough...

I had the same issue. don't go back to the graveyard yet, go forward through the CW, and make an immediate left where the bench is surrounded by statues, and barrels. she should be standing there by the railing. Then you'll be able to do it no prob.

Edit : Amelia 1 shot. Easiest boss, by far. I ran in, stayed close, and strafed and managed to stay on her backside. Whenever she tried to heal, I was always right behind her, wacking away. lev 40 +6 Kirkhamer for reference.

after you lock him up in the room, try going all the way up the stairs and look to the right. there should be another room you can drop down from.
Lol nevermind. Outran him. Don't know how I missed it though

okay scratch my previous questions, just...how do i get to the vicar fight? i have the 10k key, cant find him in the cathedral
Start in Cathedral Ward. Exit via left door. Go up stairs towards area where Giant comes thru gate from left. Run up stairs to your right (direction where hes walking) Gate at top.

Unless you already did that, but it sounds like you're looking by the ward lantern

If you have the key, all you really gotta do is ascend up the path when you run through the gate. You really cant miss the big doors with guards.

Edit: run straight out the CW, and just run up the steps. that's the gate.

Man these 3 hunters are driving me nuts.

Focus on one, kill him, get killed repeat.

Also from the lantern you respawn - run out, immediately right, jump down, pass the mobs, down the stairs, into the chappel where they are - deal with aggroed mobs.

Run dows the stairs, run one level lower, start walking and go up on opposite side.

Visceral attack. Then use guns to stagger. Visceral. Stagger. Slash slash.

Good luck

I'm level 74 fighting the triplets in Forbidden Forest. Been farming like crazy. I'm dominating with 45 insight as well.

Btw, I killed that punk bitch Alfred upon our first encounter. How much of the game did I fuck up? Please no specifics.

As long as you got the rune and the thing that lets you buy the wheel for the weapons trophy you're fine. He does do something pretty crazy later on if you left him alive though

Use the spiral stairs to your advantage.

If you have the threaded cane, use the whip R2 and time your attacks when they move in. You will be able to stagger them every time and move back and do it again.

Thanks for the advice. I think I'll get it in a couple runs.

Anyone wanna coop shadows of yharnam? Lvl 107.

Holy shit I did it at lvl 49.
Are you NG?

Also dress in fire resist and deal with the fire miss. one
Roll roll roll...

whats the advantage of a blunderbuss? aren't they slower and harder to parry with

It is like "double barreled shotgun" type of gun. You can fire pretty rapidly with it to get to the stagger/parry time window.
Also the "harder to parry with" - that really depends on you knowing when to parry tbh. Not how the weapons fires and such. Skill and experience with enemies.

Man I give up, I'll try to complete this freaking forbidden forest tomorrow those
snake guys
are scaring the shit out of me and I don't want to lose my 60k+ blood echoes

I'm making slow progress since I only get to play for a about 1.5 hours each day. I managed to beat
the 3 Shadow in the Forbidden Woods and the Spider
today and I love how the Souls games get my pulse up in every boss fight. It's such a rush and I already know it's going to be hard to go back to other games after I beat Bloodborne.

Wait, I picked the harder parry tool?

Okay, I need to replay this game, low level, some super weird build. Thatll get me to stop my "bloodborne was easy" view :/

I seriously can't fathom how y'all can just be walking around with 10's of thousands of echoes. I generally spend them before they build up too much

The farm is real I guess

I used the 2nd mode of my +6 Threaded Cane against them. They're actually really easy like that. I tried them with Blades of Mercy and they always managed to grab and kill me.
Maybe that helps.

Not necessarily, once you get to NG+ you get tons and tons of blood echoes. You easily get 100 thousands + just by beating all the enemies on your way to the boss.

I find it easier to parry with. Maybe you got confused on how I wrote-worded the response.
I wouldn't call anything "harder to work with". It really all depends on how you use it and your experience with gear :)

haha oh yeah, ng+

Just soloed em myself so nvm :p

Sweetetino :)

i was just under the impression that the timing was different on certain guns. no idea why i thought that, maybe i read it somewhere

played through the whole game with hunter pistol +5 and mostly just axed stuff to death, didn't try to parry much except on big/slow enemies and some bosses

Fuck, Cleric Beast is impossible with only 1 or 2 blood vials. Like, he has that un-dodgeable infinite range lunge that does half my bar and I don't have enough heals to offset it.

Remind me not to waste all my consumables on the first run next boss.

I don't parry mobs same size as me except for hunters.
I parry things that are two sizes bigger. Walk up slowly to them and visceral them.

I am not afraid of dying to learn and perfect each mob/boss, heh.

Ah...so that's what was singing.

I really do hate those things.

Do you even sedate, breh? Also change of clothes/resists is recommended.
Tip for sedatives:
You know the old lady that is in the cathedral ward? Tell her your woes.

I dont even go back for any echoes when I die unless it is well over 50k. If you kill your way through some later areas instead of running past enemies, they add up fast.

O-oh

Still should probably do that. Well..I was never overleveled. I just...

I kinda miss that old feeling I got with dark, where I actually died frequently at the start. I dont know :/

A-anyways, my stomach hurts from forgetting to eat a decent amount today again, so night guys before it actually bothers me :P
If I'm not back the moment I wake up RIP me

Blunderbusses definitely have a delay when firing them, which makes them worse for parrying. Their only use as far as I can tell is stopping a group of enemies in front of you.

And for the extra difficulty >.>

Man L
ogarius
is a lot harder with my skill arcane build. I remember it being a lot easier when I could just gang up on him with my strength build.

Yeah, I got that all covered. Just though I saw it all until it started that weird shit up.

I was using the jump attack (forward + R2) with the ludwick holy blade but I got to an area with a lot of them and then theres a thing that spits poison, so I'm just gonna retreat for now, couldn't find any shorcuts either, oh well

Just reached
The Watery Tart
. I think this is the end game? Taking a couple days off from Bloodborne (a trip), but I quess I can finish my blind playthrough soon enough. Already know I missed a ton of stuff, like
an entire castle
.

Would you recommend a NG+ or a fresh start for a guided playthrough?

Okay I'm liking
Shadow of Yharnam
. It's one of those bosses where I fail repeatedly but I can still definitely see how to to do it better. I'll get 'em once I farm more blood vials.

No dude, I already spoke to her there. She sould be fighting at Tomb of Odeon by now, but nothing....

I'd say go for NG+, the extra challenge is really fun imho.
