After some time and messing with a few builds, beat all bosses by lv 53, and got the last few things wrapped up for the platinum at lv 72. fantastic game and one that I'll continue playing for sure.

The door in the Cathedral that was locked before is now open. You can either buy the 10k key to unlock the gate going to the Grand Cathedral or go through that door and take the back way to unlock that gate.

Using threaded whip and tonolaq (electric mace) and defeated the witch. Maybe i should invest in the holy sword? I really dont know what to do with my echoes. Never thought id say i have too many "souls" in a souls game.

whip = cane? i think that has arcane stats, so you should start upping that if i'm not mistaken

Got the Platinum! My second Platinum ever. By far the hardest parts of the game were the Defiled Chalice Dungeon and Great Pthumeru Ihyll Chalice Dungeon. Goddamn that was brutal.

Good game. But I still like Dark 1 better.

Not DLC. If you look out from above it, you can see that this is right next to the bridge where you fought Cleric Beast. If it did open, it would just go there. Possibly a vestigial asset left in the game. An old shortcut they forgot to completely remove.

This game is just bizarre. I was having an easy time not long ago, now I'm getting absolutely wrecked at Cainhurst Castle. These spider things hit like a truck, and bounce around giving you barely any breathing space. Is this area supposed to be this hard? I just killed the main boss(es) at Forbidden Woods.
