I think I'm missing something cause I'm getting my shit kicked in by the first two bosses and YouTube videos have them taking way less damage than I am? Is there equipment that I'm missing somewhere past the stuff you get after character createion?

oh man. Finally got past blood starved beast on the 6th(?) try. used up a bunch of pungent blood coctails in the process (and ran out during the fight) but that was crazy tough.

when I finally beat him I yelled in triumph and started celebrating...only to die from the slow poison I hadn't realized I'd been hit with.

Not really, it depends I guess. I tried that once and they were too much of a bother to me, so I tried killing every-single-one of them. Far easier in my opinion, if you are patient. I guess it depends on luck or playstyles? Definitely is't not like ignoring them is THE strategy to use.

This. It's not about strategy. It's about luck if you decide to ignore the adds.

I feel there's no sure strategy to kill this fucker. Watched a guy burn him with the flamesprayer saying it's a 100% method. I try it myself and rom teleports almost instantly.

I hate this boss because i feel there's nothing to learn. It's just luck.

None of the other bosses gave me this much trouble. Hell, i one shotted many of them.

I'm frustrated. Hold me gaf.

It seems worse initially but it's much more manageable than where you normally fight it.

What you'll wanna do is thin out the first set of spiders then go on the offensive, remember to keep hitting as it teleports. Now for the second/third phases just hide behind a pillar far enough so that it does the long range meteor attack. While its wasting time doing that you can draw spiders to your safe spot then take them out. Once they're at a low enough number go hit Rom. After the second teleport it gets more aggressive don't try to get too many hits in.

worked for me in main game and in the dungeon. i guess it depends on how much trouble you have dodging the adds. i find them a nonissue as long as i keep moving and get the mob to open up some space.

Seen this asked before, but not answered. I just saw a blueish thin guy with a walking stick in the Pthumeru Chalice dungeon depth 1. He just looks at me if I'm next to him, then continues walking if I move away. What is this?

, after a number of frustrating attempts. The problem with that fight wasn't that I didn't have a strategy, but that it felt like it relied more on luck than my skill. Either way, I put the fucker down.

I should have saved my chalice dungeon rom, killed in two minutes ignoring the adds and dodging the missiles. Too easy.

Well did she do the health drain barrier for her second phase? Fly? Shoot lasers? Charge? Wouldn't be surprised if she was just stuck in one of the attack loops.

Yeah, just choose "Load Game". It doesn't state a final play time after the credits roll or anything.

Is Ludwig better served by STR or Skill?

At +10, it's B/B in both so either one should work. It has A in Arcane though, so a mix of stats might work better.

Skill might end up being better if you can gem it with the Skill+ gems to bump up the scaling to an A. Or even Strength but I haven't found those gems yet.

Yeah they could probably find a way to accomplish that. Especially since this is the first game with one roll speed / no equip encumbrance. Maybe they could just limit the max health / damage output to a certain amount based on the partner's stats.

There's a glitch that stops some bosses from powering up that some people have been getting.

If you stayed constantly at the sides, something is likely wrong and you got lucky. It's attacks reach the sides with ease. Only the back is "mostly" safe. It has a lot of attacks that hit the side.

Really dislike this boss so far... lol

Having a bit of trouble with Vicar Amelia as i cant seem to parry her? Also i dont think defense works on this boss? Got her down to 15% ish putting on the pressure. Or maybe i need more than 3 blood vials for this one. But it feels like cheating if you use 10+ vials.. Thats not learning thats just emptying stock.

In the forbidden forest, I got to the first lamp. From there I crossed the bridge and made it all the way to an area where someone man's the Cannons, then a building where you fight this guy wanting to know a safe place. I didn't tell him and I killed him and he gave me a beast rune. I found crap along the way but is that the only thing on that side of the forbidden forest?

Weird, I know they can glitch sometimes, but I mean she goes into the flying + lasers phase. Probably just killed her too fast with 3 people co-oping, you can just chain R2s all day

I never managed to parry her even once so far. I just stayed on the sides and played the hit her once or twice between swipes game.

Likewise, I only used the vials I would gain from getting to her.
