I haven't started Chalice-ing yet so I don't have an opinion, but why play it if you're not having fun? What's the attraction to getting a trophy/achievement if you're not enjoying yourself? (I turn off/ignore all that stuff)

Cuz it's the only trophy left I need for Platinum.

I'm confused guys. I've started diving through Forbidden Woods, and thats just confusing as all hell to get through. I'm sure I'll manage, but is there anything else to do other than chalices? I've beaten
Cleric, Father Guacamole, Vicar Amelia, BSB, Paarl, and the Witches on that order, plus the first chalice.
Did you talk to the npc there that gives you
the tonsil stone?

Directions in Forest:

Just keep going down until to you get to a river, then go up the river until you see a boar, then go down more.

I never memorized the whole layout of the area -- just followed lamps, went down.

Okay, I am actually getting angry now. How the fuck do I even touch the Blood Starved Beast in it's final form? I can't get away from it, it's fucking relentless. I try to evade it and it does nothing. It poisons me, I try to get behind a pillar to use an antidote or use an antidote but it takes me out in half a second and I can't even get away. I can handle it just fine until it's final form and it's driving me fucking nuts.

third defile chalice boss was easy compared to the 2nd one, damn, this was hard :)
i dont see why people dont like the chalices... theres not grinding involved, just play each of them once and you have all the mat you need, and its the only place where the game is really challenging

How did you get "blood gem master" trophy?

From a boss in chalice dungeon.

The mats aren't 100% dropped so it's a pain if you're like me trying to just open up new ones. It kills the pacing.

I feel like I'm playing Destiny now.

I watched IGN's BSB video after my fight, to see how they handled it, and BSB did not fight anywhere near as aggressive as he did with me. It looked almost like an entirely different fight.
It seemed like there was almost no second phase where he goes 3-strike enrage mode.

their PS4 must have been on for a long time since the game bugs out and bosses become easier.

but they are in the chests, they arent drops
be sure to explore each room and youll get everything you need in chests

Yup, that's what I've been reading. Pretty insane. Does the leak still occur from standby mode or is it only when the system is on running the game?

Either way, it's extremely inexcusable.

I wouldn't say I dislike them, but I think it's because later Chalice Dungeons get crazy difficult and the bosses feel a lot cheaper than the main story ones.

So what is the final depth for the chalice dungeons? I currently need to farm some mats to open the 4th one.

Pretty close to the end of the game so I am sort of stalling doing the chalice dungeons. They are pretty fun no where close to the main game. They need to have the enemies and environment change more imo.

Cool addition to the game though.

I opened up all chests. Don't have enough so now I'm grinding from this one guy for the Blood. I wouldn't be grinding if I found all the mats I needed. The only positive is I'm getting Echoes from it.

Asking again, because I know 90% of you have beaten the game already:
In the vagueist possible terms, do you get a choice for the "good ending" or is the "good ending" the choice?

Hey so what happens to me if I take Beast Pellets? I did it once but I didn't really notice much difference.... What happens if I use the Rune that increases the effect?

Vicar
was a joke on regular playthrough, NG+ tho? Whole different boss imo. She has been beaten tho, took like 4 tries.

Yo niggas, is the
scythe
an ass weapon? I'm getting the feeling it is but it could just be me... It's really good when like 5 motherfuckers are coming at me and I'm just grim reaping their asses tho. Ima still use it cause it's badass as fuck.

Wearing armor with good poison resists is a good idea. Father G's set is decent and the
Black Church Set
is even better. And try throwing those Blood Cocktails, it should lure BSB and you can heal or go for a backstab.

I'm giving this game an honest try, but with what little time I have to play games, I think I'm gonna have to try it again when I have more time. I love the game, but the continuous dying and having to farm for potions consistently just to die from a boss and have to re-do it all again isn't all that fun for me right now. Maybe get back into it another time when I have time to do it.

Ok so I'm at Y
ahar'gul village again
and there is these
3 hunters in the Hypogean Gaol (I think) area and they destroy my ass every time. Haha. Any tricks to killing them?

There is a choice when you talk to the final boss, but it's obvious that it will end the game early. Do you know how to get the best ending?

Where do you go after Amelia? I'm on NG+ and I'm being thick and can't remember

depends.. forbidden woods if you want to go story only, otherwise witch village, old yharnam or gaol etc.

lure them back outside, kill them by using heavy attacks around the fences etc.

If I understand your question correctly, it would be the latter but requires a little bit more involvement.

Weird, I went through all the chalices without ever having to grind. I had to do it again on another character and still never had to. Everything I needed came from the chests.

This game is going to ruin me for any other 3rd person action games for a while. I bought Shadows of Mordor before Bloodborne came out... Combat is just awful in that game compared to Bloodborne.

Thinking about trying Lords of the Fallen after I finish the Dark Souls 2 remaster. Anyone have an opinion on it?

Enemy behavior is depending on the amount of insight you have. The more insight, the harder.
