Anyone knows what to do with Ring of Betrothal, it looks like it's a key item? Found it in the Chalice Dungeon and the description says...

So we are in Nightmare of Mensis. One of the single ride elevators up, the one that takes you up to Mergo's Loft top, has a secret entrance that you can fall into. You cross the bridge and fight the singing brain horrors that inflict frenzy. Eventually, you pull a lever that drops this giant brain looking thing down a hole. Wut

You can actually get to it (after you dropped it through the hole) and kill it to get very precious item needed for one of the chalice dungeons.
You made your life a lot easier in that area and opened the way to some really sweet loot.

Thanks, just saw a clip of the road gesture and it looks hilarious.
Just untarget and run when she lasers. Her charges can be dodged if you dodge twice to the back left, least it seems to work for me. If you get her to like 30% or something, gun+bone ash can finish her off, least if you have a decent gun.

Stock up on fire paper and numbing mist. Instead of keeping your distance, stay close to her and dodge behind her. Attack her with a flaming weapon and she'll go down in no time. Make sure to use the numbing mist to stop her when she starts praying.

Stay relatively close to her,bait out her attacks and attack her side immediately after she misses an attack. If you can bait her leaping attack you get a few free hits on her ass

Just got it, hardest plat of the souls games.
Didn't manage to take down Rom last night... I've managed to kill every boss pretty quickly, but this is the first one that's been giving me a hard time. My goal is now to
. Problem is almost everything one shots you in this annoying fight

Now worries there. That is the easiest boss in the game, no contest.

you severly lack healh them. I know pludging spiders hit hard and you can't take much more of one hit and they tend to jump in groups but you should not die in one it
I have close to 30 vit. It's the little spiders that do me in most of the time. I'm going to equip the +5% health rune and farm some vials.

Was excited to finally get rid of the Holy Blade (piece of shit weapon) cause I'm doing an Arcane build (I'm at end game and messing around with gem weapons.
But the gem system is terrible so I can't make either Blades of Mercy or Burial Blade into "arcane/fire/bolt" weapons with gemstones. Since they have innate arcane damage, it doesn't convert the damage type from one to another like it does other weapons so they're actually just useless for arcane builds even with having B-scaling for arcane.
edit: So now I'm either stuck with the cleaver, saw spear, kirk (which I won't do cause that's on my STR build), or stakedriver which all have C scaling or just stick with the Holy Blade which I hate but it'd have A-scaling. Ugh.
I miss the Demon's Souls upgrade system.

As others have said, set your network to worldwide. Also important, restart your PS4 if you've had it suspended before attempting online play. The last bit of advice I found via reddit and it drastically affected my connecting with others. As in, I went from zero to dozens of cooping/invasion games in an hour.

My network stuff is good. I think the problem might be the matchmaking. I'm level 100 and I was hanging out in the earlier parts of the game, so that could've had something to do with it. But I did hang out in unseen Village for awhile and got nothing.

Ok, I think I'm gonna call it quit for now.
I'm getting my ass kicked by a hunter in Old Yharnam and this isn't fun anymore. I lost count how many times this fucker killed me. Lost about 65,000 blood tinge because of this.
I'm gonna go back to Dark Souls 2 SotFS for a while.

Just got it, hardest plat of the souls games.
Really? I've never platted any others but i put 90 hours into dark souls 2 and didn't feel close. Got this platinum in about 70. Hardest part was by far the chalice dungeon trophy

Honestly, I'm very disapointed in the blade of mercy. it's level 9 now and I can't make it to deal even HALF the dmg of my starting cleaver. Such a waste of blood stone and such a disapointement. I have no idea where to go I played the game twice with only the starting weapon I wish I could build something else but I'm afraid to loose more recourses and get more disapointement.
I can only assume they're being sarcastic. Bloodborne's Platinum is a joke compared to the other Souls games' Platinums.
It's the easiest, imo. I don't have the plat on Demon's or full achievements on steam for DS1 and 2, not even close on any of those three and I sunk way more time into them.

DS2 was my toughest Souls platinum. Having to make it halfway into NG++ for that NPC to sell covenant spells is a real pain. Only issues I has with Bloodborne were
and a small handful of chalice bosses.
