Did anyone else find the
Grave Guard
Set in F
orbidden
W
oods
? It only came with chest, pants, and hands, but I didn't find a hat.

Look above where you picked up that up. Notice the glowy? There you go.

Now use your sense of direction to make your way there.

So, any tips for fighting the
first hunter dude? I can't recall his name, heresomething
I've got him to half, but then he goes super sayian and basically two shots me.]

Oh wow, everything's
gone crazy. I beat Rom and suddenly it's like the whole game's gone nuts. I was glad to make it through the Unseen Village in one piece with the respawning enemies. Even the bell witches keep respawing. Now I'm back at Hypogean Goal, and this place has also gone insane. I've made it to a bath warp point, no idea where the end of this nightmare is.

I don't like these areas because it feels like you have to sprint through them. What I do like,
is how Miyazaki managed to add a layer of insanity to an already dark and opressive game. Giant monsters on buildings, frenzied and aggro enemies, areas that are suddenly completely different,... It's funny how everything before this basically felt peaceful and calm.

See I saw it, but didn't get it because I didn't know how to get there. I also forgot how to get back to that spot exactly. Isn't it right around the valley
of all the giant pigs
? Also, just made it to
Byrgenwerth
. How far in the game am I?

E
breitas
is the only boss standing between me and challenging the final boss.

After a couple attempts I can tell she's going to be a pain. Name is Latin for "drunkeness", don't know why, she seems pretty quick on her feet.

Pro-tip From: Having Bell Maidens spawn a ridiculous amount of supercharged red spiders with extreme reach and agility is not fun. Ever.

Is there a damage cap on bosses? A buddy of mine is claiming that since he added 20 point to str, bosses still recieve the same hit damage as before.

Uhh guys i just killed r
om
last night and I've never saw that crow hunter girl, where should I be looking for her now? Also where should I go next? I lighted the yahagurl? Lamp but that's it.

Quoting since the thread is going on so fast ._.

Quoting for the new page:

Just downloaded the game (27 GB) and now it is downloading another 29GB of Application Data, whatever that is. Do I need that do play online?

Should I just start playing offline, then? Will I be missing something, GAF?

Anyone? Pleaseeeee?

Aye. The maidens are my least favorite enemy in the game. Difficulty isn't the issue; They just aren't enjoyable to encounter.

I just ran down to the cage, closed the door and whip smacked them in the face till they died while going "nyah nyah can't get me~". Cheap? Heck yes. But if FROM can be cheap I figured it was fair game.

I'm not sure what it is about the Unseen Village, but the magic that densely infuses the game prior to this area is noticeable absent. The respawning enemies are the biggest culprits, perhaps. Their inclusion seriously broke the spell for me. Suddenly it wasn't about slowly progressing or exploring but a mad dash to kill the "hide and seek" chime maidens. The stage design and art direction are less imaginative and just dull in comparison to Bloodborne's first half. UV didn't feel "new", but a mishmash of older enemies in hulk mode and a totally out of place mechanic that catches the player off guard.

But hey, at least it's no Blightown, right?
I really disliked the Unseen Village. I found it to be a dash to the boss and a whole lot of running. Only time in the game where I thought things were unfair. I had no ambition to fight everybody and die doing it.

I took her ass down on the first try, shit was intense, thank god for fire paper. My god my heart's racing, holy shit. My hands are shaking as I'm typing this. This game man, this fucking game!!!

Playing offline won't make you miss much aside from player notes, the ability to summon other players and player invasions. If you downloaded all 27 gigs, you shouldn't have much of a download left. But I think you only did the first 5 gigs needed to make the game playable.

There's really only two spots where you have to make a run for it. Though it probably isn't the best area regardless.

Just beat M
icolash
. The enemies are getting much harder this late in the game but the bosses are easy even by 'casual' game standards.

I've downloaded the full 27 GB AND the Update file. But now on the download tab there is a new file downloading and it has 29GB... :(

Hit options on the Bloodborne icon to see the actual progress. When you queue up the download, it says 27 gigs initially but it only downloads the first 5 gigs.

Figuring out how to get to tantalizing glowy loot is one of the best parts of the game, it accentuates the fantastic level design. The environment is peppered with landmarks to help you orient yourself and triangulate the location of various points of interest even when they are no longer in view. In this case there's a very large and distinct landmark at the top of that cliff.

The telescope/binoculars/monocular are super important and useful items for your first runs though Demons/Dark/Blood.

So now that I'm done with the game and going through NG+ I wanted to rank the bosses in terms of personal difficulty. It is interesting to see what bosses people find hard.

Too Easy
Father Gascoigne
Rom
Witch of Hemwick
Darkbeast Paarl (would've been harder had I fought him sooner)
One Reborn
Celestial Emmisary
Amygdala
Micolash
Mergo's Wet Nurse
Gehrman
Moon Presence

Slightly Annoying
Cleric Beast
Blood-starved Beast
Shadow of Yharnam
Martyr Logarius

Fuck these guys
Vicar Amelia
Ebrietas

I doubt that's going to be the most common tactic to tackle that area; It was mine for sure. For me, a few changes would bring it down from "this is bullshite, FROM!" levels. Get rid of the Amy wannabes hanging on the buildings (seriously, if I've already killed the real one why do I have to deal with the knock offs!?) or make the maidens' deaths permanent.

I'm definitely not looking forward to reaching UV in my new playthrough but at least now I can go forward into it knowing just to run, Forest, ru~n.

took me twice to take her out. Fire paper and the cane whip absolutely dominated her. The easiest boss up to that point for me.

So, In Hemwick Charnel Lane there's an elevator/lift which leads up. Right around the lantern to the area. When you approach the elevator/lift you hear a big growl. It sounds like it's coming from the well which the elevator operates from. So I take the lift, roll off it so I have access to the well. Throw some coins and it seems like there's a floor there, I jump down and instantly die. Anyone know where the growl is coming from?

I absolutely do not like the way summoning works in this game. Also it almost never works for me. What a drag. Another thing is the feeling of loot isnt the same i dont know. I guess I enjoy the Souls games much more.

Trying to make my way to
Ebrietas/Celestial Emmmisary,
but those insight stealing elephant trunk guys are making me regret it. I just unlocked the shortcut
after the chandeliers fall and the blue-eyed beasts stalk me. How far do I have until each boss?

molotovs are nice for those assholes,
the mind flayer type things.

I made a run for it once I got to the area with the new latern. The second one was when I hauled ass past the
the three hunters

I recommend cheesing the hunters one by one by running back outside. Once you kill one he's down for good, so you it's ok if you kill one and then die.

Aha, only two bosses were difficult, eh? You wouldn't have happened to have left your game in rest mode for 12+ hours now, hmmmm? :P

there's nothing relevant in that area. probably just a random NPC.
