I finally beat
The One Reborn
!!! I actually died more times trying to reach him than the actual boss battle but still. Man I'm absolutely buzzing.

1 - This one allows you to have access to Iosefka's clinic and forbiden woods from the very beginning of the game:

2 - This one shows how to perform the infinite blood echoes glitch:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qqo4pySVWbo

3 - This one shows how to kill Father Gascoigne in less than one minute. Only one parry is necessary and can be made right at the beginning of the battle:

There's more to come :)

Used that shortcut to clinic, so much time saved! Praisen the glitch!

Congrats! I memorized the run from the lamp to his arena I died so many times.
Yeah I got caught in a vicious circle where I'd die so many times trying to get to it that the times I actually made it through I was too frustrated to play it smart and ended up getting insta killed due to idiocy. I finally beat it by doing the run to the mist and then quitting the game and taking a break for a few hours before going ahead and fighting it :D

My level is 130, yes this is a open dungeon. Don't have that gaf password

Unfortunately I don't think I'm in your level range, if you're asking solely-GAF to help out, it's good to keep on the network password even for Chalices because otherwise GAFers would have to Progress in YOUR Version* of the Dungeon (because ALL dungeons have a different Glyph codes so are unique) and ring their bell on that floor and area.

You can bypass that with Shortroot Chalice (Co-op Quicksearching) that just finds any coop in dungeons (with that password) that have a host ringing.

Gerhnam
is kicking my goddamn ass. Any pointers?

Wow, have you played any of the other soul series games? I rember you posting, and sorry if I'm confusing you for someone else, that you tended to play on easy. Anyway, no advice, but it's crazy to see how much wide appeal Bb is getting.

You're gonna be so pissed when you find out about the shortcut :p

Also, so far the toughest bosses have been Undead Giant (Ball) and big E. Y'all got me scared for the underground R rematch, that was easy. I've done a few Pthumerian and Hinteromb Chalices.

Finished it today with the "true" ending.
Died 4 times at final boss, before i got his pattern - from there a walk in the park.
God this game was soooo good!!!

lvl 90-ish iirc

Did you do N
ightmare
of M
ensis?
If so, a good place is from the middle lamp in
Mergo's Loft
. Around 9 guys and 3 pigs. With a couple of runes to up the number of echoes, it was over 71,000 in just over 4 minutes. Even faster if less cautious.

I saw a video about this one as well. Apparently if you do it right you can bait the first group into the pigs and they will just murder each other to save even more time. I haven't been able to do it myself though

Anyone know how much you can level up your fists? When you try to select your weapon for the first time it says S > D or whatever under strength scaling. So if strength strongly scales with fist damage, could it be good at like strength 50? Add in that visceral damage is based on skill and you could probably have a decent weapon less build.

Finally beat Rom, died 5 or 6 times on him, I beat every other boss on my first attempt (except VA)

Is there much of the game left? I think I'm level 70 now, is there a rough level you should be to finish the game?

Lol. It's my first Souls game. But I'm not sure if you've confused me with someone else, I don't play on easy for my games.

I finished the game at 66 lol... You died 5 times against Rom when you were that high? You're about halfway done.

These later chalice bosses are so boring. Wait, bait, wait, bait, wait some more for certain attack, hit once and repeat. Chipping away at their life. I rather go to my backyard and chip down a tree. What a snooze fest. Only dying because I get impatience.

Yea, for some reason I had a lot of bother with him. I think I was just a bit unlucky, I was 1-shotted twice.

That is not secret. You can still get there afterwards.
Yes it is. The pre-Rom visit is a secret, and has unique enemies, loot you can get very early on, and a secret NPC.

Burial Blade is a skill weapon first and foremost. You get very small gains from Arcane even at +10, and pretty mediocre gains from STR as well.

Burial Blade kind I find a little underwhelming. It's moveset is great and you can regain huge amounts of health when you take damage but considering how big it is I find its damage a little too small.

Chikage though, that is a weapon. My Bloodtinge is only at 30 and I'm doing 600 damage with that sword. And it's FAST.
I like both. I use Chikage's SKL moveset mostly, because I don't like the crazy fast HP drain of the alternate one. But Burial Blade is pretty good, has awesome range and sweeping swings and the strong regain is very nice.

Beat
Micolash, Host of the Nightmare
last night then tried to fight
Wet Nurse
man that sucked.

Just beat M
artyr
L
ogarius
and completed the 2 of the optional
Covenants

Really got in a bad rut of no progression but figured it out. Loving this game

Currently lvl 77

Do you have enough points in vitality and stamina? Make sure you're dressed for the occasion too, like for Rom you probably want high-Arcane defense armor.

Maybe that explains it. My stats were
Vit: 34
End: 21
Str: 25
Skl: 23

This is with a +6 Ludwig.

This is the strategy for most of the Souls boss in the series.

More strength. Vit is not that important in a souls game because you'll die in 2-3 hits anyway, lol.
That's terrible advice. If his problem is that he's getting one-shotted by Rom, the answer is more vitality.

Vitality is arguably the most important stat in general, because upgrading weapons does more to your damage output than stars anyway.

So many bosses are like this in bloodborne, they have one gimmick move that means you have to fight it a certain way or get one shot by an AOE/dash move.
For a game that wants you to be more aggressive its boss fights do a good job of making you wait for ages for a safe opening.

This is the strategy for most of the Souls boss in the series.

I disagree most bosses in souls you can just hide up its butt

??? I accumulated echoes, died, accumulated more on the way back to my body, but died again, resulting in me losing my previous batch. This happened quite a lot during my play session today.
Yeah, but if you wouldn't have died, you never would have earned 500k on your playthrough of the level.

Ok thx, just beat it myself actually. Maybe layer 3 boss is easier? :p

Agreed, I always laugh at people saying vitality isn't important. And then people complain about getting OHKO.... uhhh yeah duh. -_-

Guess I'll use this when I start my next character after NG+.
Is it possible to have two characters at once? My NG+ one and the NG one? Maybe this will get patched so I'd prefer to do the glitch right now and leave my character ready.

I'm through the Woods. Game is so good. Feels really meaty, too. I got the optional items to do the two optional areas too.

Lol,
Micolash
keeps literally one shotting me with his magical attack on NG+. The damage of that attack is absolutely ridiculous. Any tips?
