God damn
Ebietas. Had her down to a sliver of health multiple times but couldn't close the deal. So far the only boss that felt cheap because of her unpredictable attacks and stupid ass lasers.

Gave in after 20 or so tires and called in help took her down fast. Feel kind of bad needing help but damn it if it doesn't feel good having her out of the way.

I beat Cleric Beast last night.

Man I realize what my problem is-- I desperately want to be a cool guy in Bloodborne- utilizing dodges, parries, transformation attacks, but in the end I only manage to progress by laming it out like I always do in Dark Souls by poking things from a distance and panic slashing @_@

Wait what? I drop down into the hole to find
the Blood Rock
, but when I drop into the next hole, it kills me? So where the hell is the
Choir Bell and Mother Brain
? Also, since I've already killed M
icolash
and M
ergo's Wet Nurse
, it's too late to go back and do anything else in the game before ending it right? I really want to minimize how tough NG ad NG+ will be for my Platinum runs so anybody got like a checklist of some sorts of stuff to take care of?

Is there anyone who would help me Coop this stupid hunter in Byrgenwerth? She has killed me like 15 times and I'm about fed up with her. I hate these overpowered hunters!!

Should be a new elevator in the middle of the room on the ground floor

There's an elevator that takes you down to
mother brain
in one of the lower floors. The one where the floor's all broken up. Where you also encounter one of those fat big dudes.

I have many questions about Chalice Dungeons.

1. What is the difference between altars? Is it only to be able to have more than one active?

2. what is the order I should tackle them? By depths? I've done the ritual with the Pthumeru Chalice in the first altar. Should I do the Central Pthumeru Chalice ritual now?

3. What is a "root" chalice for? To create randomised dungeons? What I gather from this thread is that it is kinda useless to make those if you are not into it.. Is it true?

4. When should I start doing the next types (like Hintertomb)? I have an ailing Loran one, but it is depth 4, and I don't have the materials, so I'm not sure how these materials and chalices are going to come by.

Choir bell is in a chest guarded by frenzy enemy. It's across the bridge if you entered from where you were fighting Micolash. And to get to Mother Brain, use an elevator in Mergo's Loft Base. Go inside and go to the hall with 2 big enemies and many small metal dudes. There's a cage, get in it and ride down. Also, do a 'Make contact' gesture on M.B. to get a special rune.

Altars are so you can have more than one active at a time.

Depth = difficulty, so proceed through in order, do the Hintertomb in parallel with the Pthumerian ones. Do Loran once you get the materials from the deeper Hintertomb and Pthumerian ones.

Root chalices are randomized and have weird or killer loot in them. I got a +20 endurance rune in one for example. If you aren't feeing chalices don't bother. I'm addicted at this point.

No way, def the best or second best boss in the entire game. Very very hard, but very fair. I can dodge through almost every attack consistently at this point, having fought her at least 50 times between NG and Chalice forms.

Edit: I lose this fight but you can see it's clearly my fault and it's totally possible to dodge everything: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=-MU_5gJU9pM
How do you dodge the charge? I can never consistently do that.

Shes the most unfair fight in thegame

Absolutely not by a very wide margin.
Loren Darkbeast is absolutely twice as hard and way cheaper.

Watch my vid, it's very possible to learn all her moves and react correctly.

That's the one I have the most trouble with. The ways to deal with it are to 1) not bait it by managing your distance and 2) unlock and run perpendicular to the approach. I have jumped beyond it, and If I was already circling around I can dash it too.

There is only one different altar the rest are just save slots.

There are 4 different set piece dungeons...you can go deeper by progressing in each one, but a few are only found in the regular story by killing bosses.
3. What is a "root" chalice for? To create randomised dungeons? What I gather from this thread is that it is kinda useless to make those if you are not into it.. Is it true?
These are the best ones as they tend to give better and more random loot.
4. When should I start doing the next types (like Hintertomb)? I have an ailing Loran one, but it is depth 4, and I don't have the materials, so I'm not sure how these materials and chalices are going to come by.

You can get materials by going deeper, when you get to layer 3 "pre-dungeons" show up on the side which are rich in those materials you need as well as vials and bullets etc.

you want to do the lower levels as soon as possible as they will become too easy and not as lucrative later....it will be boring to do them and you have to do them sooner or later to get harder dungeons so you might as well do them ealry as possible.

Swell! Thank you VERY much!
I'm not really feeling them, but they are a mean of making me play this game even longer, and that I'll do =]

Thanks 2adept also!

She has aoe dps, undodgeable combo's due to magic, and punshies you if you even try to dodge her charge near her.

1-3 have been answered above. Regarding 4: You need the Ailing Loran one to get certain materials to open up the depth 4 Pthumerian dungeon.

So is it true that Hunter enemies don't scale with playthrough/NG+? And if so, does this apply to generic hunters like those in Unseen, or to named hunters like Eileen and Djura too?

Just finished the game and got
all 3 endings
. Currently at 80% trophies, dunno if I want to do any of the chalice stuff to get the platinum.
