Bloodborne |OT+++| ...and so the Nightly Hunt continues

Phtumerian Descendant was one annoying chalice boss. The timing to parry is ridiculously short or broken. I finally beat him and we both die with our last hits. Thankfully, my win counted!!

Edit: The one in the Great Pthumeru Ihyll Chalice, not Central Pthumeru Chalice.

For this guy I just went toe to toe with him and traded hits. Still took me a couple tries but seemed an easier strategy than the gun parry.

Is it even POSSIBLE to beat the
abhorrent beast
on the third layer of the Ailing Loran chalice?
jesus christ I cant even get it to 80% without him wiping the floor with me

For this one, I ended up using Lead Elixer so I wouldn't get staggered so much and even so, I just barely beat him. Boss is crazy fast.

Started playing BloodBarn a few days ago. Beat the first boss today, but got reckt by the second. Definitely a game you slowly get better at. New enemies fill me with dread because you don't know what kind of tricks they have up their sleeves.

How are you supposed to dodge
ebritas
rushing attack? It takes up the whole damn screen and then it's followed up with a tentacle swing that sweeps up again like the entire screen. Rolling to the side, forward, behind, sprinting away, jumping away etc. The attack hits me every time I can't figure this out.

So I made the mistake of saving Darkbeast Paarl for after Rom. Now I'm having trouble with those 3 hunters in Hypogean Gaol. I'm looking in the right place, correct? Any tips on fighting those 3? If anyone around level 63 wants to help me out in-game, I'd appreciate it!

Stay close and try to deny her the opportunity to ever use it

How did this fucking Grand Cathedral Hunter get HARDER to beat in the span of two days?

The guy for the end of Eileen's quest? He's real easy to cheese, which is what I did after I got fed up.

If you want to cheese him:
Just kite him back to the stairs, wait for him to switch to his two-hander, which drains his health while he uses it, then go down to the bottom of the stairs. He'll de-agro and return to the center, while that sword drains his health until he's dead.

I wish I knew the answer to this, but staying close minimized the chances of her doing that attack. Could never properly dodge it and just got lucky with her doing the head bash more often than not, as you can really punish that attack.

Anyone???

What should I level now? Should I get some bloodtinge or arcane or just keep pumping into str and skill?

Vit 55
End 43
Str 47
Skill 50
Bloodtinge 10
Arc 6

Thanks, but how do I repair my weapons? I don't see anything obvious in the menu or the Hunter's Dream, but then I don't have much tolerance for this game's obscure bullshit really.

You probably bought the wrong game, lol.
Go up the stairs, through the doors. There should be a desk where you can repair your weapon (etc.).

I WANT to do this. I WANT this piece of shit to realize what I'm doing to him and know there's not a damn thing he can do about it.

But I would love to wreck his shit 1v1, too. I'm gonna try a few more times, and then just cheese him if I get too frustrated. What pistol is he fucking using? That shit is so fucking broke when it wants to be.

I used the stairs to the left to walk up and backstab the guy in the centre and killed him as he got up. Then just ran and charge attacked them from the doorway you came through.

I'd say put some more points into VIT. If you plan on doing some of the later chalice dungeons and NG++ onward it really helps out. Bloodtinge is only really good if you plan on using the Chikage, but i cant speak for arcane.

If you want to fight him legit I can give you these tips.
If he is walking slowly towards you in 1 hand stance, get near him and fire your gun, it will almost always parry him. If he goes 2 hand, he will probably run towards you, I always charged my R2 and let it rip when he came near me, works 90% of time.

This will work until he's used his health vial and gone down below 30% or so, in which case good luck, because his openings are rarer, and he will spam his gun more.

Yeah, I also just found out if you go down the left staicase you can just bypass them, now I just need to beat Paarl.

So what's the shortest route through the game while skipping all the optional stuff?

Just off the top of my head:
Father G > (buy cath. ward key) > Vicar A > Forest/Rom > Unseen Village/The One Reborn > Mensis/Nurse Ratchet > Gherman

Is this right?

Where can I check that?

Edit: nat type 2.

Good or bad?
Nat 2 does not mean shit on ps4, I'm having tons of issues and my nat is 2.
when i log on destiny it comes up saying nat 3 on the game but everything else is nat 2 :(

I cant play with my son on destiny half the time because of this.. and were in the same house.

Edit: are you using fibre? In the uk the routers they send out for fibre here are shit.
also having 2 ps4 consoles on the same router causes issues (if you have a shit supplied router from BT or plusnet)

that last one is technically optional too!

Can you skip
The Shadow of Yharnam and Micolash
?

This guy, dunno why, has been easy for me both times I fought him. I just charge the R2 2-handed Ludwig attack in distance, he is dumb enough to rush against me, eating the attack and staggering him. Guess I was extremely lucky with him.

So in my exploration of the 'Make Contact' gesture for MB, I came across the H

C

W
orkshop
and came to a giant gate at the end. There was a staircase leading inside full of
insight suckers and a chandelier which dropped on me revealing 3 blue eyed werewolves
. My only thing is what is this place, is it important, and how do I open the giant gate out front?

when I go and try to help Eileen in the tomb of odeon: I have to kill the other guy on my first try, or Eileen will get killed, right?

any tips for him and tips for not hitting her all the time?

Nah, you can die and she will still be there fighting. Don't know if this is guaranteed, but it was the case twice for my nephew.

My tip is when she starts fighting just spam your gun while she tanks him, he won't be able to do anything while she murders him.

It doesn't matter if you die, you just need to get back there before she dies. Ive done this part 3 times now and it appears that she doesn't take damage if you hit her. Just stay back and shoot him until you get aggro, once you have it just back away and let her get free its in.

I have a question. I tried DeS and it was too frustrating and vague for me that I dropped it only a few hours in. Is BB as frustrating and confusing as DeS? I hear the loading is long (20-35 sec.) so I worry that would just add to the frustration. I missed the %10 off offer and since it is a success, I don't think it'll get cheaper soon, so I am thinking of buying it full priced, but I am worried it'll just be too frustrating as well and I'd regret paying full price for it.
Any opinions?

Cheers.

did you try one door, that said "hunters not allowed" or "hunter not wanted" or something like that?

try that door again.
you only read the message. you didn't even try to open the door.

had the same problem. read the messega and turned around and left, because I didn't notice you could still open the door.

missed that you already beat BSB.

new door open in the church.. go there.

Either:
a) buy the 10000 key from the messengers
b) go to cathedral ward, and go through the newly opened door to access the workshop (it's an elevator on the right hand side of the cathedral, assuming that puddle-woman thing is on the right). In the tower/workshop, go _down_, inside the tower, then down (you have to jump on wooden panels. It's hard). You'll reach a small town which is kind of a pain. Eventually, you'll get on the other side of the gate that a) opens.

b) is significantly harder.

You probably wouldn't like it, so don't waste your money. You will want to quit as soon as you are forced to grind blood vials with the horrible loading times tbh.

on my first playthrough, I tried helping her, I died, and when I came back I only found him and her bloodstain.

Uhhh, weird, I'm almost sure I died the first time there and when I came back she was still there. That, or I ran away, but I'm sure I didn't kill him the first time I saw him.

I died several times at that fight, but she never did. Always busy fighting when I came back. Strange thing is, for me, she was always dominating that fight, Unless she had very low HP, I am surprised she could die at all.

what is the trigger for this? the only time i recall seeing eileen in my first playthrough is in central yharnham in that big area above the rats. i remember fighting a hunter in the
grand cathedral after i beat rom i think
, and several others elsewhere but never in odeon

So how much is left in the game after I finish
forbidden woods
and
cainhurst castle
? Don't want it to end lol.

Maybe wait a little bit until it lowers in price. But you should absolutely get this game as it's one of, if not, the best game on PS4. It's a joy to play once you become familiar with the controls.
