I have a question. I tried DeS and it was too frustrating and vague for me that I dropped it only a few hours in. Is BB as frustrating and confusing as DeS? I hear the loading is long (20-35 sec.) so I worry that would just add to the frustration. I missed the %10 off offer and since it is a success, I don't think it'll get cheaper soon, so I am thinking of buying it full priced, but I am worried it'll just be too frustrating as well and I'd regret paying full price for it.
Any opinions?

Cheers.

It's pretty much a souls game so you won't like it ^^

what is the trigger for this? the only time i recall seeing eileen in my first playthrough is in central yharnham in that big area above the rats. i remember fighting a hunter in the
grand cathedral after i beat rom i think
, and several others elsewhere but never in odeon
After you open the gate leading to the plaza with the two giants.

This run was able to take down Father G at lv 10! Man that was tough. He was my first boss down this time. Now to go get the witch to get runes with 2 bosses down

Cool thank you. Was hoping I wasn't in final stretch. I don't have much time to play and I try and explore everything, so I should still have plenty of game left by the time the guide comes lol. Although I still may not open it till NG+.

Does anything have a cheat-sheet for what I'm supposed to do with the Chalice dungeons?

I made two, fought the bosses, but didn't really find anything besides blood and more chalices.

every game that doesn't have NINTENDO on it somewhere will drop to $30 or 40 within 6 months or less. if you're not entirely sold on it, there's no harm in waiting- especially since patches are coming.

The cool stuff (weapons and better runes) are in the higher Root Chalices, and even so it's random appearance so... yeah.

For the Chalice trophy:

Pthumeru Chalice (3 layers)

Central Pthumeru Chalice (3 layers)

Lower Pthumeru Chalice (4 layers)

Ailing Loren Chalice (you need to find two "Bastard or Loran" items, needed to create the next dungeon - you could find these as early as the first layer, or much later, but play at least until you find the Beast Claw weapon in Layer 2)

Defiled Chalice (3 layers - you have half HP throughout this dungeon, which makes the bosses *brutal*)

Pthumeru Ihyll Chalice (3 layers, Yharnam, Blood Queen of the Old Labyrinth is at the bottom)

I was stuck on the first part before the first boss so it can be a lil tricky. I haven't used a guide or anything to get me through the game. I say rent it or borrow it if you can but honestly this is a must own game. Once you get through the first 2-3 bosses I think it gets some what easier.

Do only root have the unique weapons?

Not sure, but I think the Uncanny and Lost variants are all in Roots. The new
Beast Claws
are in a normal Chalice (I think it's Loran?).

You may also need to do Lower Loran and Isz for the Red Jelly needed for Ihyll, unless you're in NG+ and didn't miss the ones in the Lecture room.

Can anyone please tell me where I can buy sedatives?

I've
gotten to the tragic end of the old woman's side-quest
but they aren't appearing at the Dream vendors.

Darkbeast Paarl just ate shit. :)

Is there something I need to do in Yahar'gul to stop the enemies from respawning? or is that just how this place works? Is the rest of the game like this?

Kill the
bell maidens.
For the early part the easiest thing to do is run, though. And don't worry it's just that area.

There should be a Bell Maiden near the mobs, she's the one respawning them.

So how do I co-op? I need help with the Cleric Beast, I've rang my little bell and used my only insight, and nothing is happening. Is there really no-one out there offering their services to help with the first boss?

Gehrman
becomes practically invincibile during the second stage of his fight. I'm unable to stagger him when he glows, so as soon as I get a hit in i don't have enough time to get back out before he lands some nasty blows on me.

coop is broken.
I wasted countless of insights try to summon some one.

Brilliant. You'd think after 3+ attempts they'd know what they were doing by now. Especially since it actually worked well in Demon's Souls.

There seems to be a multiplayer bug that happens when you put your PS4 in rest mode. If you turn it off instead of rest and turn it back on it seems to reset the multiplayer connection and it works way better.

You need a badge from
Upper Cathedral Ward
.

Whoo! Thank you!

Or there might not be any players in that area.

Maybe because the bell required to help others can only be bought after aquiring at least 10 insight meaning advancing past father g.

Broken is too far fetched.

Same strategy as the whole fight- just parry bro

I found I had to shoot him twice to stagger him during his second phase when he was two handed. Don't know if that'l help or not, but it worked for me. Absolutely loved that boss fight. Great character.

It works well in DaS 2 as well, I always see tons of signs and can summon someone really quickly if need be.

Yeah, co-op always worked extremely well for me in Dark Souls 2.

The upside for me is that I enjoy helping people co-op more than summoning in Bloodborne. Seems like there is such a lack of people offering assistance that I always get summoned almost right away.

Yep, it's broken. I don't think Dark Souls 2 is a bad game (I loved it) but it is definitely the worst in the series. The multiplayer though...is the best. It works.
In Bloodborne I can help other players...and I can invade them (even if it's pointless in BB) but summoning? Nope...I wasted 25 insght in the last two days. I'm done with BB multiplayer.

If you want to fight him legit I can give you these tips.
If he is walking slowly towards you in 1 hand stance, get near him and fire your gun, it will almost always parry him. If he goes 2 hand, he will probably run towards you, I always charged my R2 and let it rip when he came near me, works 90% of time.

This will work until he's used his health vial and gone down below 30% or so, in which case good luck, because his openings are rarer, and he will spam his gun more.
Thanks. I took a break to watch this MKX tournament, but I'm getting back into now after I farm a few blood vials.

Easier said than done lol...

I also found him hard. I used the shotgun and Kirkhammer. I found that if I missed a medium range shotgun attempt that spamming shots after that (1 o 2) would then get a visceral opening. I could also wail on him with the sword until he dodged away, my flurry would interrupt his attempts to counter.

So Im day 2 on my PS4 and it seems like my controller is a bit wonky. I need to touch my stick all the way forward until it hits the plastic in order to jog forward...... any idea how to fix this? ie. "Rezero" the controller?

I was just starting to dominate the
Ebrietas
battle and then BAM! elevator bug. I'm so sad right now, really close to platinum. So wait for patch or redo everything... this is really killing my motivation.

some people have shared their glyphs.

rpx5dirg is an awesome glyph. It contains a +300 frenzy resist rune (very handy), a +150 resist all rune, Lost Ludwig's blade, and a Blood Rock.

The best part about using glyph is you don't need any mats. You just need to have that particular chalice in your inventory.

The only perequiste to using it is to beat the Great Isc chalice
(the one Ebrietas drops)

Same here I've been summoned to help people almost instantly but when looking for assistance it takes a while

Man, looking at the walkthroughs online are showing me I missed a lot of stuff on this first run. Here's a list of things I didn't even know could be done:

- Iosefka's Clinic
- Cainhurst Castle
- Arianna Questline
- Eileen Questline
- Alfred Questline
- Covenants
- etc.

I'm currently on my way to F
orbidden Woods
to get the clinic shortcut so I can get the last piece of umbilical cord. Then I'm going to try and get to C
ainhurst
C
astle.
I know for a fact I'm at the end of the game, but I'm trying to do as much as I can since NG is gonna suck. For the people who got Platnums, what should I be focusing on in this initial run endgame?
