Bloodborne |OT+++| ...and so the Nightly Hunt continues

nope, don't see her

I think you missed some steps and now can't complete her quest.
You first had to talk to her in central yharnem, then you should have talked to her in front of the ward, then you should go to oden's tomb by foot to fight another hunter. Try going to oden tomb now and if she is still not there then her quest is over.

There are only two story bosses after
Micolash (or more depending on umbilical cords)
so you should definitely visit Cainhurst. Also, check trophies for other optional bosses.

The only boss I seem to have missed is
Darkbeast Paarl
. Had one very good try on it, but didn't bother to do it again for a while figuring I'd just do it at some other time. And then I killed
Rom
and couldn't go back because yeah well... you know.
The same area changes into a more extreme version
.

Anybody randomly getting free echoes? Thought it was enemies falling off a ledge somewhere but I had just arrived at Cainhurst and was standing at the lamp waiting on a friend for coop and got 10k. Once he connected and we started fighting the flea things I got another 10k randomly, he got 5k, and not from fleas it just popped up after we cleared a couple. Saw it in other areas. He said it seemed like his health took a small hit when he's noticed it happening.

Separately maybe, there is a yellow dot below my bullets in the upper left. If I swap from two handed to one handed, the yellow dot becomes a black dot. Just noticed it last night so I'm not sure where it came from or what I put on to bring it.

Where do I go after Blood Starved Beast.

You can kill the two hunters there if you haven't done so already. Also you could go for
Vical Amelia in the grand cathedral
to continue with the story. You could also head to the boss I just mentioned and take a left before you enter the building. This will lead you to another area called
Hemwick's Grove
which is a cool area to explore with yet another boss.

Is this the old woman? I didn't run into this Eileen person and now I have killed Rom, is there a way I can get one of those special runes now (the one that goes into the 4th slot)

yes, there are several in the game later. One is after the cainhurst castle boss another is accessible by giving Alfred an item from the same area, I don't want to go too spoilery... That said I'm sorry to say you can't get this rune in your current play through

No offense, but 67 hrs played and level 57? I'm at level 148 after finishing a NG+ run after 40 hrs. I'm not trying to be an ass, I'm just wondering how you maintained a relatively low level after having played for that long. Did you have to repeat areas for hrs and hrs to progress?

What's confusing? I spent my souls on things other than levelling up all the time as I didn't want to be over levelled, checked out every inch of an area before moving on, helped others on co-op. I was in no hurry to blast through my first playthrough. And I found it generally quite hard so I died a lot. And I left the game idling for at most 10 hours maybe.

Edit: Also if you write "No offense" and "I'm not trying to be an ass", in the same response, you probably are in some way!

Guess I fucked up then. She's not there :(

This room in the isz chalice is outrageous
so one of those stairs either side big platform up top and little platform about half way up, well the little platform has an alien thing that shoots + two head sucker leech things, and the top platform has another alien shooty thing and two massive werewolves
fucking impossible to do anything

Just beat NG+ and what can I say? Easily the best game game of this gen so far for me and it definitely has a quite high spot in my all time top 10 as well. I'd really like to start NG++, but I think it would be wiser to wait for a possible performance and load time patch and play something else for a while.

HOLY FUCK at the
amygdala fight in defiled chalice

I ran around in the last phase for 2 minutes with essentially no health and no potions.

Look from 11 min 28 sec

Not for the faint of hearth

Need a break from the game now.
The last 30 seconds are insane. I winced when one the last few hits didn't connect, and when the second to last strike left
Amygdala
with only a sliver of health.
Good job on not getting greedy even though you were ho so close to ending it.

We're in the same boat, although for me it's entirely my own fault. Decided to sneak attack her, thinking it was an enemy. Took me a while to kill her, but yeah, no questline for me.

Good thing there's NG+(+++++).

Hahahaha, this looks like my experience with
Shadow of Yharnham
Just couldn't get the last one down as it kept dodging me while the
snakes kept coming
Most intense moment I've had so far.

Wow, nice job. I'll be honest I kind of tensed up watching that. I'm sure you were jumping up and down when that "prey slaughtered" screen popped. I would say you got lucky but that last few minutes was pretty masterful playing. Good video.

Oh I loved that room. Very tense, very hard. Use the columns.

Finished this game after 35 hours yesterday. From what I've seen on YT after I've missed at least 3 whole areas and 4 or 5 bosses. What the fuck? Miyazaki really went all in with the optional stuff on this one, did he? And I thought I was being thorough while exploring....

That said, overall this game was at least on par with Dark Souls (which I considered the best of all). Dark Souls had a better bosses overall but Bloodborne was better in terms of overall quality because it didn't drop the ball lin the end like Dark Souls with Izalith. I'd only consider Dark Souls better because of the Artorias Addon but since there might be one for BB as well later, I don't wanna take that into account just yet.

I'm playing hard mode (carrying my sleeping 5 month old baby in a fabric sling carrier thing) so no jumping for me.

The adrenaline was insane though.

Just wait until you're playing on extreme mode and your two year old is trying to raid the entertainment center, steal your drink, or straight up hit buttons on your controller while you are playing.

The dad struggle is real.

So I returned to Cathedral Ward and just outside was this pole tard and then I got killed by this weird magic tard that never was there before and now Im in Unseen Village. Why?

Fuck this Un
seen Village
bullshit. How the hell are you supposed to press forward
with mobs constantly respawning
Find and kill the lamp lady and they will stop spawning. But generally you're better off just running through. So clear the area once and then don't bother any more later. Run straigt to the boss.

I tried a foetid rotted dungeon. This shit is absurd. Hunters with like 6k health everywhere. Not dumb ones either. Also there's the pvp mvp naked rolling fat dude with the hammer flail thing plus he can heal!

I did get a blood rock before I said fuck it which is cool, I guess. Don't see myself coming back for these random dungeons. There's a severe lack of room types. How many times do I have to go through that damn chandelier room with the ladder?

I am about to start that struggle. Wife is to be induced Tuesday morning.

Got the Bloodborne Platinum trophy yesterday, so my training is complete right? Can't be much harder than that? :)

Beat V
icar Amelia
on my first try. Kinda didn't expect that. It's a really fun battle. She also never tried to heal during the battle, so I guess I got lucky with that.

There are several
women using bells to respawn the mobs. Killing them not only ensures that the enemies stay dead, but it also debuffs them.
For instance, run past the mobs walking down the huge flight of stairs at the beginning, enter the building at the bottom, go to your right, climb a few steps and the first chime woman will be right there on your left.

edit: ha, didn't see your following post :)

You should look for a large spiral stair case there's a bonfire at the top that area will be a pain in the ass unless your high level.

Yeah, I figured as much. Still it's annoying as shit and you have to locate the woman first.

This is not good advice considering all the treasure this gent would skip, but yes kill the bell maidens. It's pretty intense, I agree!

The Chalice dungeons...while interesting regarding enemy types are such a chore. I know...go deeper and do the root dungeons to get great loot.

...I'm at the bottom level of the 3rd Pthumerian dungeon and the whole thing is so tedious.

I look forward to seeing how they implement it in future titles. Interesting first attempt.

So I missed the NPC in the
Forgotten Woods (old man at the windmill). I went back later but he isn't there anymore, is it too late now or is he somewhere else?

FINALLY!
