All of my gems at atleast somewhere around +21% Damage, I think i've seen a couple +26% PHYS gems but the ones I've seen had really doodoo secondary curse stats like -9HP/S along with my Chikage Degen is no good. Still looking for Blood DMG+, and Health Regen runes but Glyphs have been inconsistent.
 
Fuck why doesn't this game have a copy save data option ???

I was in the moment and beat game and it automatically over wrote my original save file for ng+ ...I still wanted to explore some other stuff /areas in the original game mode
:( now I don't wanna face the difficulty in spike for ng+ just to go back and pick up things I missed
 
Made it through the first two Pthumeru chalice dungeons with no problems. Lunch break and then continuing on. This game is so damn addictive.

is bullshit. Got to beat it though to unlock the shop item needed to stand a chance against the SOY boss.

Wouldn't be quite as bad if it wasn't for the way he sometimes dashes or throws the moment you walk through the door and insta-kills you. :/
 
My chikage-only build should be in effect tonight C:. I had to get through a lot of the game with just the base damage stats, took forever to kill things in

If you are a ps+ member, your NG+ save file has probably not been uploaded yet. You might find an older save that you can download via Settings -> Saved Data Management.
 
Anyone give me some advice for NG+?

I just completed the game for the first time and now have 300,000 souls. Is investing in arcane to use the Hunter tools worth it?

Any other advice for spending them?

Don't sell stuff. It's not worth it.

And the pistol is perfectly fine for staggering enemies so you can do a visceral attach, which is its purpose.

Most of Amelia's attacks are swipes with big range, so try to stay by her sides and dodge towards her back.

After her life is at or lower than 50% she'll get a bit more agressive, and she will often heal. The solution for the healing it to use Numbing Mist. if you throw it at her, she won't be able to heal. unfortunately, she didn't try to heal in this video, so I couldn't show this strategy, but it works like a charm.

Her attacks are kind of slow, so it might screw you up until you get timming down (She kicked my ass in the beginning of the fight due to this).

Keep attacking her legs, as it will stagger her and allow a critical hit, and her left arm, which will make Amelia lower it's head (The weak spot) every now and then allowing you to do some damage.

For this fight it's recomended that you upgrade your weapon, as you need to be able to ofset her healing, in case you don't have Numbing Mist.

NG+ felt easier than the first playthrough to me. The enemies have leveled up, but so have you in terms of both gaining levels and experience - the latter of which the enemies don't gain. I'm sure you'll blow through it much easier than you expect.
 
NG+ was definitely disappointing, feel like the lower layer chalices are the real ng+, each level is samey, but they have the best loot and truly brutal enemy placement, bosses are harder too, throw in the cursed versions and it gets even harder.

got a feeling you get it after beating the blood wolf in the church , i was so close to beating him last time too, but damn that poison
 
I kept dying on DBP. One time I entered the area, he jumped on me taking like 9/10th of my life bar away. Watched some vids and then I kept attacking him from up close. He had no chance.

The 10K item is
a key to reach the Grand Cathedral. With some prudent exploration you can find a back entrance and save yourself the 10K souls.

Is being level 80 to low to fight him? I'll try to fight him with more blood vials. Had only 8 when I fought him.

Yo can do it alone!
Just ignore skeletons, that's all. Micolash has only one attack in first phase so just dodge sideways and hit him after that.
In second phase he does the same attack in only one direction with addition of firework arcane attack. When you see him preparing, shoot him or hit to stop that attack. It's an easy fight in general and you will finish him alone before you even find any player.

What's killing you?

My advice is to go slow and steady and before each phase transition (66%, 33%) charge up an R2 attack and then spam R1 to deal as much damage as possible and make the next phase shorter. Rom only has three attack cues, and they're all very slow, so make sure to keep an eye on him! For the barrage attack, I found dashing towards him to generally be effective.

During the third phase (< 33%), I had him low enough that I was able to ignore the baby s
piders
and just finish him off (carefully).

It's an endurance fight. Take it slow and be careful. I've also heard that he won't teleport while you're hitting him with the F
lamesprayer
, so if you are really having trouble then you can upgrade it, use some Bone Marrow Ash, and then use it to take him from 70%->0%.

boss in final Chalice and game decides to kick me out of online. I come back expecting to be in fight with boss again, but nope. Fuck! Was outside boss gate. I enter and now have to do boss all over again. Fuck! Was close to winning too. Dammit.

This damn game needs to fix it stupid server issues.

Well, that was easy. I just did 2H Ludwig's Holy Blade R2 attack on her. In 2nd phase, did them all in back so constant visceral attacks. Did like her more then other bosses.

Well, can finally put Chalice dungeons to rest.
 
Ok peeps so yesterday I beat
Rom. Tonitrus to the rescue.

So I got the message about the orange moon or whatever. Went to check on Iosefka and got a rune from our little Blue Man Group guy. Then she was laying on the table all writhing and yeah I ended her pain.

Then I went to Grand Cathedral, and Eileen was waiting inside (to kill me). After one try (after a bunch yesterday) she was TOAST. Used the Holy (skinny) blade for the first part, parrying and such, then switched to L1 version at the end and down she went.

2 questions.

1) Is there an enemy that takes your Insight? I didn't die to squidhead (on the way to Iosefka shortcut) but he hit me a couple times. But I had 25 insight, and after killing Eileen I now have 19. What the...

2) So with Rom dead, then Iosefka and Eileen, now what? I have 2 umbilical cords and Arianna is sitting in the Cathedral Ward feeling crappy. Do I just go to the Nightmare Frontier? Is that where the "rest" of the game begins?
