Getting my arse kicked in by Gerhmann. I think I'm underleveled (~53) because I ran through the last 1/3rd of the game (literally ran straight thru). I think I missed an entire section of the game because I have no idea who Martyr Logario is or somesuch.

Gerhmann isn't the last boss, is he? If he is, I'll hold off on killing him until I explore some more.

Yep your at the very end! If you kill, it automatically starts new game plus

I haven't gone beyond Lvl 5 yet (only saw blade), the rest are 4 and lower. I just don't know which weapon to use! It has to be a SKL weapon though. Tell me, tell me what weapon to use D:
 
I just beat the game after going to every optional area and fighting every boss I could find, it was an amazing experience. The last boss was perfect, with an epic track playing to boot.
 
Man, I was unhappy on how I leveled up my first and main character that I decided to delete it and start a new one from 0. Goodbye NG+ see you next time :(

I just beat the game too what a fantastic final boss and game. Now i started new game plus and boy do some enemies take a beating, Cleric Beast took a pounding to beat. I'll definitely go for the platinum even if i have to finish the game 2 more times.

The bosses weren't that way for me, just slogging though the dungeons themselves were. I purposely overleveled to make it though them easier, then with the final one where I knew I didn't have to have more mats after I just ran though to find the switches. I really really disliked the chalice dungeons.
 
So I already took out the
gunner
in Old Yharnum but I haven't been able to take out the other
hunter
in that courtyard. Am I wasting my time or should I keep at it? Does he drop anything? I want a new shortcut to that
ladder just beyond him
and it would make my life easier if he were gone.

I might just go for that too, although to be honest the chalice dungeons don't hold much appeal for me right now, aside from the bosses. There's something about the game being reduced to just dungeon crawling that doesn't sit well with me.

All I'll say is that the Blades of Mercy are amazing. They don't hit as hard as other weapons but what makes them great is they hit fast and stunlock enemies. Also after 4 or 5 hits, the Blades get faster and faster, its pretty cool.

I had the worst luck there too. Several times I waited for 5 min + w no answers.

I finally got help on 2 occasions but they mysteriously got 1-shotted at the same point (about 25% health if boss gone).

There is a "sinister woman ringing a sinister bell" warning during the fight? Does this just magically kill any coop help or someghing?

Yeah agreed. I didn't explore at all in defiled or ihyll really. I grabbed a chest if I happened to come across one, but outside of that it was just running for the switch.

Hell. I actually went through NG+ to get the extra red jellies I was missing so I didn't have to do the other chalice dungeon for them.
 
Yay my brother and I beat the game. Got the true ending. Damn Optic Blast killed him. Sucks it prevents you from healing unless you back way the hell up (I think?)

but was fun

I did the same thing with the jellies. I was just so done with the chalices.

The multiplayer in this game is trash imo. I randomly ring the bell all the time throughout playing with two people total joining my game with no passwords. There's alot of things I like better in DS2.... multiplayer definitely one of them.

Is the Saw Cleaver a strength weapon or a skill weapon? Buy which I mean, if I'm using the Saw Cleaver, do I want to level up the strength stat or the skill stat?

So this has been buzzing in my mind. Whats with the elongated limbs of the characters? Is it because your in a dream and things aren't as they seem?
 
In my first depth 3 dungeon I've come across a really tough boss so I think it's time to go in to NG+ and level up there. I'm sick of Lecture building farming runs.

Yea, I'm level 90. Finally got past Abhorrent Beast, so I'm at least making progress. The levels themselves have been mostly fine, except for when they drop multiple bell ringing women at once.
 
Bloodtinge builds get Evelyn, Cannon, Chikage....... Arcane builds get shitty spells with long animations that do basically no damage. And no, Ludwig's doesn't count. What gives From?
 
I forgot about this during my first play through, but does anyone know how to open this door? Its by the watcher with the wrecking ball in Cathedral Ward.

Just got to 11 insight after beating cleric beast and father G. I opened up the insight fountain in the hunters dream. I see there is an outfit I can buy... But my question is...

Once I dip below 10 insight does that fountain go away?

Tonitus, Blade of Mercy (one of the hits at least), Rosmarinus and Burial Blade are the Arcane weapons.

Yes. You can buy things and if it makes you go under 10 insight, the fountain will disappear once you exit it.
