I haven't gone beyond Lvl 5 yet (only saw blade), the rest are 4 and lower. I just don't know which weapon to use! It has to be a SKL weapon though. Tell me, tell me what weapon to use D:

Oh, in that case use what ever you want. It's when you want to go to 7 and over you have to decide. I think there are enough chunks per game to get 2 weapons to +9. I suppose you can go cane and blade of mercy since they cover different ranges.

Yo wth, I did everything right and Djura is still hostile?

Was I supposed to go up Old Yarhnam through the back killing DP? I fought him and died and heard the only thing I needed was to just encounter DP, gain 1 insight and not kill anything in OY.

Dammit.

EDIT: Is it because he spotted me? IS there any other way to get to him? I think maybe there might have been a route but in that case is he perma aggroed? I'm just sit--er waiting on the ladder. Not sure what to do.

I have a few quick questions if anyone could help...

How do I get to the other nightmare place,I already beat the one with the wet nurse.

So far Ive completed 3 levels of every dungeon/tombstone. Dont see a way to progress any further to levels 4 /5 ect on any of them except the final one.

Where did Iosefka go? Pretty much forgot about her and she isnt at that main doorway in the beggining.

The little girl with the musicbox is asking for her sister, where can I find her?

Does the locked gate at "home base" ever unlock?

The doll is asking me to meet the man in the wheelchair, anything i need to do before seeing him?

I never got killed by the Sack-wielding Kidnapper and was never taken to Hypogean Gaol prison. I did however make it through the unseen village. Did I miss something?

Are my aquired tools already equipped and working for me? I try to use them and it wont let me.??

I just discovered a short cut near the door of the laughing ladies that leads to the dog cages below... I feel so stupid that I didn't see this before...

I need help once again ><

I'm at M
argo's Loft Base
; I got into the castle, took the stairs down, and took an elevator in the middle of that room with the little dudes and the big dudes in armour. It took forever to reach down. Now, I am at a completely dark area and have no idea how to see things. Apparently, there are messages telling "time for contact" but I have no idea what they mean.

BTW M
icolash's fight was awesome. Thankfully, I had the idea to poison him from above in the last area; helped the fight A TON. His arcane damage is insane at that point.

You can't open it, it's a shortcut that was removed from the game apparently.
Thanks I was wondering about it since I been playing the game again with my friend and he asked me about it.
So can I buy the whole outfit without it disappearing? Or do I have to buy one item at a time.

Yeah you can buy the whole outfit without it disappearing. But remember as soon as you drop under 10 insight and exit it out, you cant access the fountain again until you have 10 insight again. But you will get alot of insight later on in the game :)

Bloodtinge is for pure attacking, while arcane is more utility. You get the attacks, you get the scaling (which basically works for every weapon), and you get added defense. It's by no means a bad stat.

I finally beat the game. I rate this game better than Souls series because the combat is too freaking amazing.
I loved that I could beat Gherman by simply parrying him. Reminded me of the Dark Souls final boss Gwyn. And Moon presence was pretty underwhelming. He stopped my healing mid battle but I could simply spam my R1 attacks (+10 Ludwig sword) and beat him.
I am taking a break from this game and off to finish my backlog. Not very interested in New game plus, hoping Sony announces DLC this E3 to keep my occupied.

A lot of the bosses seems to give me souls vibes
Cleric Beast reminded me of Manus, Father Gascoine reminded me to Artorias, Ebrietas reminded me of Gaping Dragon Wet Nurse reminded me of pin wheel

I am not feeling the chalice dungeons. Is it really worth it? I am kind of satisfied with just the game. Am I missing something by skipping it?

Well if you beat DBP there is a door you can open to enter Old Yarhnam from the back and he won't spot you. You might be able to get to him without being spotted if you take the shortcut assuming you've unlocked it.

1 - Go to the room where you get transported to after killing Rom, the Vacuous Spider. There you can be transported by standing near the door leading to the stairs and letting the hole grab you (aka,
Amygdala
if you have enough insight), but only if you have the Tonsil Stone. If you do not, you will simply be grabbed and killed.

To get the stone, you need to kill Amelia and have entered the Forbiden Woods. After that, just talk to any red lantern NPC and they will give it to you. I think you're too late for that tough... If so, you won't be able to go there in your current playthrough,

2 - Go to the back doors of the clinic and explore it for a surprise.
Here's a way to get there:

3 - At the end of the Yharnam's sewers, there will be a tunnel with a big pig inside. Kill it and see the item it drops.

4 - Yes, if you want to fight an opitional boss. If so, consume 3 umbilical chords and look for any opitional boss you might've missed.

5 - Not much, just a farming spot for twin shards and stuff:

6 - I'm not really sure of what tools you're talking about. Can you be more specific?

I didn't beat him. I think I'll level up some more and go at it again. I hear you can befriend him even after you aggro him but killing DBP is a requirement.

Oh boy, this ones gonna be a tough one.

I LOVE the little details peppered throughout..... corpse placement has never been as good as it is in Bloodborne.

Little details Ive noticed:
-A part Im stuck on involving something invisible
the giant spider beast that traps you drives you mad (frenzy state) before dropping you
-Hunter spoilers
The Unseen Village hunters are known kidnappers, the only area you find them (so far) is not in the Unseen Village, but a place where people have been driven mad, which I can only assume makes them easier to kidnap ...it is also possible they are there because the "patron" of their church is currently residing in a nearby church
-Second Boss
Father Gregory was basically the last person not turned into a beast guarding a chapel with no one in it any longer, which would explain him giving into his beast transformation
-Pig Area
A young hunter apprentice was with a well trained crafting hunter befor he was killed as noted by his clothing

I dont like how obtuse the story is......very hard to keep track of all the names. But I like all the droplets of details.... I do wish there was a more definitive reason for fighting some of the more sentient bosses and
hunters

D scaling is worthless, and you don't get arcane scaling damage until you put a gem in. Heck, if you use the character calculator you'll see that even a B scaling on blade of mercy +10 is worthless. The fact remains that outside of old hunters bone and beast roar, the rest of the arcane items are completely worthless.

He isn't too hard. Just beat his legs until he's stunned then beat on his face. Sometimes you can keep him down after stunning him once. You just need to be relentless.

I am just starting to use the quickslot items like the
old hunter bone, tiny tonitrus
and the
empty phantasm shell
and the
executioners gloves
ect. Holy crap these items are a game changer and I never even knew what the hell they were for.

You got it all wrong bro. B scaling + a fire Attack rune or shit like that does a ton of damage. You also get the defense.

Chalice Dungeon question for those who can help.

Is there a way to get to
The Queen Boss/Dungeon
without having to work through the
dungeons that halve your HP?

Amy went down in one shot with only 6 vials. Cool fight though. I really feel like I've gotten better at combat which for me is much better than DS and DS2. It's gonna be rough going back to sword and board.

Now off to nightmare of mensis. Any tips or should I employ the basic haul ass strategy for Nightmare frontier?

no...but just be happy knowing once you have that done the rest is actually easier...

Like I said, it's a utility stat. It's not for weapons like the blades, but rather weapons like Ludwig's if that makes sense.
It's a lot easier to do STR and SKL and use fire or bolt paper, this way I wouldn't be stuck with just the element from a gem. Also if I wanted bolt elemental attacks I'd just stick to a tontrus which out paces Ludwig's by a country mile without having to put anything into ARC. It's a strange design choice that doesn't make a lot of sense right now.

Tonitrus and Fire Paper are both affected by the arcane state.

I killed the old lady before R
om__________
because there were a couple of notes on the ground that said "no mercy for the old, plus rune". I was still unsure but looking at her she had some white growths on the back of her neck that look like the white majin buu enemy the sucks out insight downstairs. That was enough for me to kill her. Did she have any other purpose other than point to the edge?

That's a dude lol, but no.

Steps to winning the game

1. Beat BSB.
2. Get kidnapped by santa.
3. Make a mad dash to the Torintus
4. You have now won the game

Well I totally just cheesed the
3 hunter

Is it really that good? I love gimmicky weapons, Logarius wheel is my favorite so far, so I'd totally create a new character for Torintus. What kind of build should I go for?

Only huge problem with it is the tiny duration. Its moveset is pretty simple also, but damage and speed are quite good and the added bolt damage is great, even more so for some types of enemies and bosses.
