True story, the final boss of the true ending of the game had me down to 1 HP, and they didn't have much life left so I ran in and attacked. Well, they swung at me and would have killed me, but one of my notes was rated as Fine and I was brought to full health and beat the boss (and the ending) haha.
Wasn't as epic as I remember it being, although the fine and the life refill did happen at the very end!T his was my first time beating this boss so I was still glad
Ugh, I had to admit defeat and summon help for The Shadows of Yarnam. No idea why I couldn't do them, on the face of it they should have been fairly easy, I could kill one and get the other two down to quarter health but then something would always go wrong - often it was locking on, often when I clicked R3 to lock on to one of them, the game would for no obvious reason lock onto the other, even if it meant spinning the camera around to do so. That cost me a few attempts. It was pretty infuriating to be honest, so I caved and tinkled my little bell. Had to do it twice, I managed to die even with co-op the first time - 2nd times the charm.
Both times someone arrived within a minute though, which was pleasant.
One thing though, are gestures a bit rubbish for anyone else? My technique must be way off but everytime I try and do one using the pad wobble technique I end up doing nothing or something else entirely. I spent a bit of time practising my wave and hunter bow so I could at least give the impression of welcoming my co-op help, when someone arrived I ended up pumping the air with my axe despite doing what I considered to be the same movement as before.
Got stuck in Byr
genwyrth (sp?) at that white clad hunter
though, so gave up and took
tonsil to get to the Nightmare Frontier
- arrived and was instantly invaded for the first time ever, got my ass handed to me in seconds. Seemed a bit glitchy too, I couldn't connect barely at all and sometimes I would think I had evaded a swing and then a split second later the splash of blood and HP going down. On the plus side though, my bow actually worked that time. Much gentleman, so polite; both bowed and then laid into each other.
Thanks! I have really fallen in love with the PvP in Bloodborne after disliking it at the beginning.
Amazing how FROM always makes such amazing PvE and PvP. Just goes to show how good their combat engine is. Also not missing backstabs one bit as others have said. It's all about spacing, momentum and tactics.

No problem! I like that fight a lot even if it is OHKO pretty much all the time lol. If you need help on the next one too I can help at that also. That might be easier to solo though.

Theres no shame in summoning! Its there for a reason and people have difficulty with different fights on pretty much every boss. So many people in this thread find a boss hard, then another person chimes in pffff, that boss was so easy. As for the
hunter in the Byrg (as I call it), just use the table downstairs in between when you need to heal or regain stamina, otherwise just bum rush him and go to town. Don't over think it.
Finished this game a couple of days ago. While it was a very good game, some things left me dissappointed. Mostly, the lack of real covenants and putting PvP on the backbone (got invaded once in my entire game), the optional bosses are only there for the sake of there being optional bosses. Most of them unlock nothing new or extra and end in a deadend. NG+ is really obsolete here, there are no new items etc. to gain that you couldn't get in the main playthrough. Missed some more weapon and armor variety, even though the weapons the game does have are really really cool.
Still, great game. Really enjoyed the horror aspect. This game was really tense/scary at some points.

in Defiled Chalice again and beat on first try. Granted I have bunch more levels than I did when going for the trophy. I really love that boss fight now.

For me, that was one of the best bosses in entire game. Damn, one of the best in all "souls" games. When you beat it, you instantly becomes a better "souls" player.
Amazing fight!
Got back into the game after a hiatus (to no fault of the game, i just had stuff to do).
And damn, the last two bosses were easy, but this B
lood
S
tarved
B
east
is annoying me; it's all pretty straight forward (infact, it seems a pretty easy boss, by Souls standards) ... then
it gets to the third stage and i die near instantly.
Tried 3 or 4 times already, but the loading times are making it harder to just butt my head against it, especially because soon i'll have to farm for those bullets and blood vials.

What's up with repairing guns? I don't use Evelyn as much as I probably should, but I've never had to repair it. Same goes for my +9 Cannon which I would say that I use a fair bit on bosses.
You need to give your Chalice glyph to someone so that you are in the same chalice. No other way around it I guess. What Chalice you are in and what lvl?
fight is really sucking a lot of the fun out of this now. It's probably because I'm on NG+, but it seems to be doing everything in its power to annoy me. The arcane beams aren't so bad, but the camera is awful when you're close to her so you can't see what her arms are doing, meaning I get hit by seemingly nothing. Her attack where she flies at you in her second phase will kill me if I get hit by it because it hits twice, and I can't figure out a way to dodge it reliably. I can't do anything about her multiple tentacle sweeps because they stagger me and hit multiple times, so if I get hit I'm dead.
Really not a fan of this.

Oh cool, I didn't notice that - but I was in combat and at near full health at the time. I'll have to start putting down more helpful messages then. I guess you only benefit from them if you're online when someone votes it Fair?
Yeah, but that fight with Ebrietas within ISZ was easy as fuck...I don't know, maybe i was overlevelled but that was far, far easier for me than in story mode on NG
/though i killed her almost in the same fashion/ Ebrietas in Isz Chalice Dungeon
Definitely if you want the Uncanny and Lost weapons, as well as rare gems and runes. Check out some guides online for glyphs to dungeons with rare treasures, I.e.:
Finished the game the other night and it wasn't nearly as difficult as i thought it would be.The only bosses i had trouble with were
martyr logarius
and
blood starved beast
the rest of them i defeated on the first or second try.I had alot more trouble with dark souls than this game..it must be due to the faster paced combat.Excellent game and i still have the chalice dungeons to do as well.
Have 3 builds, 2 of them for pvp and coop one is at 80 other one at 100 anything above former is to much i think , people want hybrids but i think limiting yourself and having more diverse selection is better in my opinion. Think lvl 100 allows you to max 2 stats which is good enough.
Something that's rated at 110 for fire would be better than something with less, correct?
I mean you would wear that atire against an enemy that uses fire.
is really kicking my ass. I've spent what seems like forever farming chunks to upgrade my Ludwig's up to +9 but I just can't get this son of a bitch down.
I've been so close on a couple of tries. Like 3 hits away from killing her but I get double hit by a smash followed by what seems like an immediate laser hit before I can move.
I know I can do it but seem to make some stupid mistakes and against this enemy it means death.
Any recommended loadouts? I've focused on fury resistance (at 495) and I'm using my Ludwig in great-sword mode with bolt paper. I do have my arcane up to 15 so can use hunters bone, beast roar and Empty Phantasm Shell if they'll help.

OK will give it a go thanks. I never managed to land a visceral attack when fighting her before. Can she be parried with the pistol? Would make the fight much easier if so.
in the same "life", feel like the game is getting (much) easier as I go along, levelling up VIT and STG mainly, but not started levelling the rest as well, Ludwigs blade at +6, so I am dealing plenty of damage, and not having an issue with an enemies now.
I am sure I'll hit a huge difficulty spike soon though.......
Couple of questions, what do people use insight for?, just summoning?, or anything from the insight store worth buying?.
The pendant you get from Amelia, use it or save it for later?, does it do anything later in the game?
