Our crowd is overreacting because we'll always look at her as the chick from G4.

She can look the part, and she was surprisingly fun in The Newsroom. She's not a bad actress -- not that a good one will be necessary for this role anyway. She'll be fine.

So she will be a boring character not for fault of her acting, but because they won't even ask her to act.

What are you doing? You couldn't find someone who can actually act for the role? And I thought everyone was supposed in their teens/early twenties and you get Munn for Psylocke?

In all seriousness its a fucking ensemble where she will likely get a few minutes of screen time at best. It's not like she's gonna be up there delivering monologues. This is a series that has survived Anna pacquin in a leading role and Jennifer Lawrence for crying out loud and still churned out enjoyable movies.

Whether she's a boring character or not will come down to how she's written.

The number of superhero movies that ask a lot from an actor on a performance as opposed to physical training basis is kinda small. Worrying about Olivia Munn's ability to play Psylocke just seems weird to me. She'd have to be pretty fucking terrible at her job to not pull it off.

She's not a GREAT actor, but she's not terrible, either.

Who the hell cares, Munn will be fine. She'll be nerfed just like everyone else in a Singer X-Men movie that isn't Wolverine. Probably 10 lines, and just randomly around doing occasional things.

Haley Berry and Anna Paquin are Oscar winners, but they're performances were far from it.

I don't think Singer's X-Men movies need great thespians.

Because she did all of that dumb shit on G4(which I found out was written by her along with some of the other female co-hosts), a lot of those same nerds assume she isn't capable of acting or doing something serious.

Or that she's slept around that business.

People say this with a straight face and without a shred of evidence.
 
Well, if you aren't Wolverine, Magneto, Mystique, or the Professor you aren't getting much screen time. I doubt you'll see much of her. He couldn't even get all of Paquin into the final cut of the last film.
 
So she'll get a grand total of two lines, no choreography to speak of, and will appear for reasons beyond me. Uh, ok then.

Punisher: War Zone was actually a Lionsgate movie.

I'm fine with the casting. She'll probably be one of the side mutants who doesn't do much. And I'm sure its a dream come true for her to be in a comic book movie.

Channeling tater is 34 and is gonna be gambit

While gambit being a fucking awful character is a different situation, no one cares that he's older

Also psylocke is not a main character in this it doesn't matter if she can't act. Can the guy who played warpath act? How the hell should I know; I don't think he even talked in DOFP
 
Because the people that have watched her act says she's good, I'll have am open mind about her acting, and TRY to remove my opinion of her based on her hosting abilities.
