I literally don't know anything about Psylocke except people think she's a hot comic book character and she apparently used to be British before getting her mind swapped with an asian woman or something?
What is her personality like?
Lana Condor looks the part of Jubilee. She has no other credits on IMDB though so I'm sure she'll be background fodder.
Yeah because Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellen, Hugh Jackman, Famke Janssen, James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Brian Cox, Jennifer Lawrence, Kevin Bacon, Peter Dinklage, Liev Schreiber, Oscar Isaacs, etc are all terrible actors.
She was fun and sunny before her eyes got ripped out by Slaymaster. Then she got dark and brooding.

Yeah, I just saw XMEN Days of Future Past. She stuck out as bad. Didn't look the part in blue at all. The rest of the cast rocked it.
I'm down for Munn. She's good peeps. I was thinking Lucy Liu for Psylocke though.

She's Captain Britain's sister and was a blonde before becoming a model and dying her hair purple. Then they made her a mutant in the 80s and she joined the X-Men as the trademark team telepath, but couldn't fight. So then they had this weird storyline where the X-Men entered this weird portal thing called the Siege Perilous and came out changed. Psylocke came out as an Asian woman and was brainwashed into becoming a ninja by The Hand along with Spiral, because their leader was in love with the woman whose body Psylocke now inhabited and holy shit this makes no sense and is overly complicated.
Jim Lee and Chris Claremont were on X-Men at the time and I guess someone wanted a scantily clad ninja. Why this wasn't just a brand new character is beyond me.
The character is generall portayed as being British Betsy, not some Japanese chick.

I don't recall saying it didn't have good actors, but that it isn't actually a prerequisite to getting a role in an X-Men film. Neat list though.
So fucking tired of Weeaboo being used every single time something "asian" is involved. She's a pretty cool character and the casting here is nightmarish for me.

That's why i'm laughing at this thread right now and all the over reaction. They could have cast a wet paper bag and the acting would have been fine for the character. Psylocke's popularity has zero to do with her non-existent personality and more to do with her "assets" and 90's extreme makeover.

I would have had the same reaction as 90% of the posters in this thread, but she was actually pretty fantastic in the Newsroom. So, good for her.
I like the dark Psylocke. Was fun in the latest X-force run.
But I doubt Singer will go with that.
