So this is really dumb but I've been playing this game for over 20 hours and had no idea that for your saw cleaver when you do your charge attack with R2, you could actually press R2 again which does an over the top motion that brings the saw cleaver to the ground and smashes the enemy.
Mind blown......

The movesets for all the weapons in this game are amazing. Try R1 and R2 out of a roll/dodge, do L1 during different combos, they're all pretty great and good in different situations.

Can anyone help with
Ebrietas, Daughter of the Cosmos
?
I'm lvl 90.

I would love the help. The crazy beauty distroys me every time I get her down to 5 % health. :'(
Lower your insight by a lot. Worked for me.

Over 50 insight = 1 shotted me all the time

9 insight = crushed her first try

I keep hearing conflicting things about insight affecting a boss or not. Some people say it does, others say your insight has no effect on any bosses. Hmmm...

Thanks for the tip.
xzuru just helped me crush the sexy beast.

But your point is well taken. My insights were at 38 when I started to get my but handed to me.

I definitely felt like
Ebrietas did far less damage with less insight.
Honestly I feel like there's a lot we don't know though.

Vicar Amelia
is pissing me off. Seems like the best way to fight her is to go behind her, but there's so much fur and shit it's impossible to read her tells.

Ailing Loran boss spoilers

Abhorrent Beast on layer 3 may be my favorite boss fight yet. That was more like a tough Dark Souls fight, rather than a BB one, with less opportunities to just go nuts attacking. Got him on my third try after realizing playing more defensively was better. I was worried after the first death that the Kirkhammer would be too slow, but that sexy fucker came through.

I was just thinking how the respawning spiders were killing my enjoyment, then I experience this From goodness. Only problem now is I think defiled is next...

I don't know for sure either. Maybe it was placebo but when my friend summoned me to fight
abhorrent beast
he had around 50 insight and it was easy. I summoned him for the same fight, had under 15 insight and got wrecked multiple times. He just seemed way more aggressive and on-point when I had low insight. Or it could be wacky network issues.

It would be cool if high insight meant an advantage against beasts, and low insight meant an advantage against kin, but that's probably not the case.

So to get the
Pthumerian Queen
trophy, what is the point if going into the defiled dungeon? Is it only because you need the other two red jelly? Or do you absolutely have to go in to get to the final dungeon?

Question with end game spoiler
When do I use the 3 umbilical cords? Up to the, I think, final boss. Cant remember his name but hes the guy in the hunters dream.

This happened a while ago but still blows my mind.

Never knew the phantoms of those before me could aggro enemies, thank you guy who fell for ambush. ^_^

Each knee can be broken to where she falls down and you can visceral attack her.

Ugh Logarius is kicking my ass. I'm level 56 (bloodtinge build) and I really want to get Chikage, but this d bag is wrecking me lol. I'd love to co op but nobody is answering my summons.
I think I'm gonna try to memory leak him. How does one make the game leak his move set away?

WTF, N
ightmare
of M
ensis
can get bent. This place is ridiculous. Enemies hit like trucks and hard to pick them off as one. Then there is this stupid status effect...

I get to the large building and am met with hige ass fucking
spiders
which are also tough in groups. I figure there is probably something cool for taking them all out, but nope, could have run through to pick up the loot. Then there is an annoying ass hunter right after. Killed him first go, but had some annoying attacks.

Fuck this place.

So what's everyone's go-to farming spot?

Echoes: C
ainhurst
, due to the high yield courtyard enemies and decent return from the low-risk enemies just beyond

Blood Vials/Quicksilver Bullets: Cathedral Ward, which isn't too bad echoes-wise either due to the giants.

So I'm heading into New Game ++, my stats basically --

Vit 50
End 40
Skill 50
Strength 45
Blood tinge 6 (!)
Arcane 15

I main Ludwigs Holy Blade and have an 800 attack rating with it, so those stats worked out well for me, but what stats should I focus on next? I have a +10 blades of mercy and a +10 Burial Blade but I don't get much out of them because my arcane isn't great, but I also think I should maybe focus on Bloodtinge so I can try out some cool weapons like the Chikage, and Evelyn? What do you guys think?

I farm vials from the great bridge up the elevator to the bridge with the guys that roll the ball of fire then to Tomb of Oedon rinse repeat

Just took down that flaming watchdog thing on my first try, it was quite exciting, required some patience. Didn't want to get greedy, still got caught by some shit, but it was nice. So far the first Chalice dungeon has some interesting bosses in it.

I'm at a point where there's a large door, a pram in the middle of the room and a baby crying. Is that the last boss room? I want to explore a little more before I finish this game.

For echoes I found that
Mergo's Loft: Middle was the best spot. In around 5m you can get nearly 80k echoes. You equip the 20 and 30% blood echoes runes along with the rune that gives you 40% more extra echoes for visceral attacks. You'll get around 20k echoes from the first pig that you can do a visceral attack to. From there you just take off past the two pigs and continue past the katana guys. If you do it right you'll cause the pigs and the katana guys to start fighting one another. They'll kill each other with maybe one or two that you have to take out on your own.

Great Bridge. Kill big guy, then the Werewolfs, who drop 3 each guaranteed. Then I go into the house kill everything (including 4 bullet 100% drop from the chair guy) and get around to kill another 2 big guys then to the 2nd lamp of the area.

In total you have:
5 Enemies who can drop 0-2.
2 Enemies who drop 3.
3 Enemies who drop 0-4.
1 Enemy who drops 4 bullets.
3 Enemies who can (rarely) drop Antidote.

Sorry to ask again but how does the memory leak get activated?

I was under the impression that it just accumulates over time when you have the game running, including the time you have it suspended, with ~12 hours being the ballpark when it starts to nerf the enemy movesets. Closing the game properly resets it.

Can someone run me through how and when to do the PS+ cloud save trick so I can get all 3 endings?

save game to cloud. turn off auto save to cloud.

beat game. get 1 ending

download old save from cloud, beat game again

download old save again, beat game and continue NG+ (highly recommend you save the true or bad ending for the 3rd time since you dont get the schythe for the "good" ending)

Is the true ending the one where you eat all 3 umbilical cords?

That old guy in
Byrgenwerth
sitting on his rocking chair

do I kill him or not?
Does he need to stay alive for story purposes?
