you can remove it and make a new one. if you leave it there you can come back to it, but i doubt you'll have much of a need to come back to the earlier dungeons

think of each tombstone as chalice save slots

Thanx.

So Ive created Pthumeru Chalice and finished it, so I should replace it with Pthumero ROOT Chalice and so on?

The Root chalices are just the one you did before, but randomized, you can do them if you need materials for the "story" dungeons, but you don't need to do them to get to the final boss.
For the final boss, you just do all the non root chalice dungeons in order from this chart.

The giant
beast sleeping in the Abysmal Cavern below the Cathedral.
Do I attack him or is he pertinent to a covenant?

If you're referring to
Ebreitas: Daughter of Cosmos
, it has nothing to do with a covenant, and be prepared to fight one of the hardest bosses in the main game,

Do you mean the
Eye Jabba blob which you have let down into a hole with a switch? In pitch black area at the bottom of Megos Caste/ Nightmare Frontier?

Try to "make contact" with it *wink* *wink*

Edit: Ahh probalby E
brietas. Stay on her ass all the time and if she uses Lasers, just run. Only three waves and they never hit if you keep moving. Not that tough in my opinion but it also depends on your level / weapon upgrades. Had Ludwig's +9 or 10 at that fight
.

depends on where you've gotten your 2 cords, but there may be 1 or 2 still available. i assume you got one from the wet nurse. there's 2 missable cords and 1 that can be found at any time during the game
.

The first cord I got was in the Abandoned Workshop in the Cathedral Ward and the second one was from Mergo

Thanx.. but could you explain how this chart exactly works? Cause I dont see the final boss in the chart

Anyone know who won the VaatiVidya contest?

I'm with you, I'd rather do a fresh run with a new build than play NG+. Arcane/bloodtinge hybrid here I come!

I actually created 2 new characters- one Arcane, with skill secondary which I haven't leveled much yet. This is the level 83 character. I'm pretty much at the end- just need to beat
Mergo's Nurse
.

My other character, I created a bloodtinge build to play along with ENB's let's play series. he's a bit ahead of me now, so I need to catch up. But man that blood damage from Chikage and Evelyn.

My only issue thus far is that with my arcane build, I've been having trouble finding gems to enhance my Ludwig's Holy Blade. I was running with the fire dmg +8.1 you get in Cathedral ward, then switched over to the damp bolt that gives +16.5 but I can't find radial arcane or bolt/fire gems to enhance the other gem slots. kind of sucks since people who build physical attack builds get tons of great gems in all shapes to enhance weapons but arcane/blood builds don't.

Does anyone know where I can find radial fire/bolt/arcane gems?

The final boss is in the Phumeru Ihyll chalice. You need to do the other (non root) chalices for materials. It's easier than it looks, once you start it will all make sense.

So guys I'm at NG+. Any good guide I can follow on this run to get everything I've missed the first time around (not that much, I think)? I found a Game Progress Route on fextralife wikia but I was wondering if it really was that reliable, especially on a NG+ (I've already found some little discrepancies, very minor anyway).

Also, suggested level for NG+ coop? I've neglected the online part in my first run (I'm a veteran Souls fan, had little trouble with bosses tbh) and I feel like I've lost a nice part of the game since you can't get invaded if you don't summon people yourself (at least that's what I gathered). I'm... at Amelia's, for the record, and I'm 96.

It must have been glitched. I only had to
stay behind her, charge attack, roll behind her again, charge, repeat.
Yeah, the real version doesn't let you do that. I tried. Even though I beat the real version, part of me wished I got the easy version, only cause how unfair she kinda is with her hitboxes. Such an annoying boss. lol

78 is pretty high and with the right weapon, which can hit her hard in the head, she gets a lot easier.

I forget what level I was, like low 70s and had the right weapon to hit her head. Even then it became a very difficult fight. The boss constantly moves around, swinging it's arms, pushing you away. Huge hitboxes on you, so you are likely to get hit. Only being hit once is a big clue to me that they got the easy version. In my opinion, in no way is she in any way easy.

God damn it. Had a fairly successful run at ML; down to about half health; then my controller battery ran out and I got sliced up whilst frantically grabbing for the spare controller. Hadn't even noticed a low-battery warning beforehand. :/

Just took out
Blood Starved Beast
. The first half was a breeze but that second half with the poison was brutal. Managed to wing it in the end within a inch of life left. Feels so good.

Is there a video of the boss fight without the glitch? Everything I'm seeing on youtube looks like what I did, and it was an easy first try. I was probably high-level, but I just stayed in close, dodged headbutt and clipped through swipes by dodging early enough so the animation goes into the swipe. This allows me to get up fast as the swipe animation is done and start attacking right away. If you're too far back she does have more moves.
