I just beat
Celestial Emissery
found in
Upper Cathedral Ward
. Is that all there is to the area or am I missing something?

Yeah, the real version doesn't let you do that. I tried. Even though I beat the real version, part of me wished I got the easy version, only cause how unfair she kinda is with her hitboxes. Such an annoying boss. lol

I forget what level I was, like low 70s and had the right weapon to hit her head. Even then it became a very difficult fight. The boss constantly moves around, swinging it's arms, pushing you away. Huge hitboxes on you, so you are likely to get hit. Only being hit once is a big clue to me that they got the easy version. In my opinion, in no way is she in any way easy.

Yeah people saying this boss is easy, and beat if first try etc. I wonder if it was glitched because this boss was easily capable of 2-shotting me, and it's attack patterns are anything but predictable. It turns incredibly fast, and you can't stay behind it for more than a few seconds. The forward charging rush it does is super hard to dodge if you are at medium distance - in fact it may be impossible. Even if I strafe to the side twice, I still get hit - insane tracking.

I really hope From takes care of these AI glitches because it's causing a disconnect in the community regarding boss difficulties, and taking away the experience from the people who get the glitch.

I was watching Oroboro's blind playthrough on Youtube and when he got to Blood Starved Beast, he died over and over and over - he edited the runbacks and fights up to his death but I'd say his death count was probably close to 20. Then he goes in and all BSB would do is his right arm claw swipe.... over and over. So he just parried it over and over, and won easily. He didn't know at the time, but he cheesed the fight, and didn't get the satisfaction of legitimately conquering a tough boss.

Yes, you can
break through the window
by the lamp and fight another boss.

Yeah I'm pretty surprised they're waiting till the end of the month for a fix for this bug. Should be pushed out asap within the games opening weeks. By the end of the month most people will have completed the game or a large portion of it.

first 3 attempts weren't that easy either for me.
then I went to her back and attack her tentacles.
after a few holy blade swings, she went down.
quick visceral and immediately follew by a fully charged holy blade 2-hande R2 and she was dead.
was surprised myself.

Yeah and the worst part is some people get the AI glitch in a way that the boss will do it's worst attack over and over, so not knowing any better, they may think the boss is incredibly cheap, and impossible to beat. I saw a video of someone fighting
Microlash, where he just spammed his AOE arcane over and over. The guy couldn't get near him.

Um, you're saying you killed her in like 5 hits? lol
Something doesn't sound right there.

This happened to me before. I can't remember if I gave up and came back after resetting, or if I just managed my stamina better and killed him.

Either way, when he is spamming the AoE, it's a pain in the ass.

It was also in NG+. I hadn't even seen him do that attack before so I was surprised in the first place, then he did it over, and over, and over.

Say what you want about Dark Souls 2, but at least it didn't have AI glitches and so many damn bugs (at least not ones preventing you from progressing). The Elevator glitch. Enemies pushing you out of the world..

Hmm I don't have this set. I take it it was unlocked at the vendor? I wonder what unlocks it.

Finding/Killing Forgotten Madman boss in Chalice Dungeons.

Same deal as Bone Ash set, except that madman's stuff is bought with insight, Bone ash with blood.

Why bring up DS2 in a Bloodborne thread? Who is saying anything about DS2?

Ahh thanks.

What Chalice is this guy in? Is he a Root Chalice boss?

EDIT: Nevermind. Looks like he's in
Hintertomb

The cathedral katana guy is the biggest bullshit in the history of all bullshits!!! I never this much trouble with all the bosses combined. >:(

Wow, 50 bloodtinge and Chikage does so much dam. Makes helping kill EB so much more easy. Can get her down before she does her magic crap which usually kills the host. Now, I am almost tempted to do chalice again for better gems.

Make sure to send the elevator back up or it may glitch.

Thanks for the heads up!

Good luck! Took me a solid 4-5 hours...

Beat it on my third try :P
I can see it being difficult as it has a fair bit of HP and its flailing+frenzy is annoying. I'm level 75 (probably way overleveled for it and was wearing my best frenzy-resist gear (crow set)

There's a
spider of some sort in the boss room that I can inspect but my options are "do nothing". Will I be receiving the object that allows interaction later?

Asked before but thread moves so fast. To get the all weapons trophy, do you need all the alternte Chalice versions of the weapons as well? Or just all the standard versions?

Yeah, I'm very happy with 50 Bloodtinge Chikage. Wish I could find bleed gems with physical+%. Chikage has high bleed as it is.

Just the Standard.

Nicely done! The biggest problem I had was finding a good window to attack and consistently baiting the head smash. More often than not it would just charge me and that attack is a little tough to dodge. Then of course you get the added fun of the moves that come with the second stage... I never really had an issue with the frenzy but I was level 66 and my Vit was pretty low so I would often take hits that wiped 70% of my HP or so...

Eventually I realized I would have to get good at fighting it up close because it was too tough to get hits in with bait tactics from far away.

Any rational human being would have left and come back later but I am stubborn as hell with these games if I think I can beat a boss.

more than 5.
don't know how many exactly.
all I know is, I was totally, has fast she died.
I skipped her whole 2nd phase.

I really need to save more gameplay clips.

but yeah, attacking her head is the most important.
and after the visceral follow up immediately with a charged R2.
she stays down long enough for you to hit.

Okay I went to I
osefka's Clinic and she was hunched over talking about being the chosen one. I knew she wasn't helping people (I sent her two NPCs as well! The cannibal one I sent to cathedral ward and he ate the weird guy next to the lamp and buggered off).

Anyway, I received an invitation to Cainhurst castle and I went near the water in Hemswick as I noticed a castle in the distance but I can't seem to trigger anything. I also hear this weird sound as well

Go to the crossroads in Hemwick near
Witch's Abode
, and approach the monument.

In the big open courtyard in front of the Witch's abode, there's a tower/spire looking thing sticking out of the ground at the intersection of the paths. (as in, the very center of the clearing) Run up to that.

Bloodtinge to 50 using Chikage and Evelyn. I also have a 25/25 not close to as good.
I never used Chikage but I'm guessing you basically always want to use 2-handed mode when in combat if you are invested in bloodtinge? Is the general idea to walk around with it 1-handed and then switch over when you are about to fight? How annoying is the HP drain?

You got the idea. I stay in 1h until I'm about to attack, transform, which activates the draw slash animation, attack a few times then transform it back, as needed.

The HP drain is only really an issue if you keep it transformed. Though, truthfully, it has killed me quite a few times, mainly in Cursed chalices. The draw slash also has a decent stagger property, so it helps to open up the enemy for 2-3 hits. It's also very fast, and wide. I can go on and on. High bleed rating, enemies typically have low Bloodtinge defense. It's a great weapon if you go 50 Bloodtinge, IMO.

Thanks! It sounds like a pretty cool weapon to use. Did you even bother investing in stats for the 1-hand form or just not worry about using it at all?

I went 30 skill, so I could use the Cane until I found the Chikage. It worked out well, as the 1h of Chikage was also usable until I was able to get high enough Bloodtinge. If I were to do it again, I would try to take as little other stats as possible to maximize Bloodtinge quickly. But, I'm happy with how it turned out. I ended up at 50 Vit, 40 End, 30 Skill, 50 Blood. I've been doing chalices a lot, so I've just been putting any extra echoes into Arcane for the drop-rate buff.

The Evelyn also turned out great.

Thanks for that. So much additional optional content! Amazing game.

I can't seem to get the 12 hour glitch thing to work. I was gonna use it to beat martyr logarius (yes i am a pussy). Any trick to it?

I think it's just random. If you don't completely power off your console (suspend, or leave in rest mode) it may start affecting some bosses, but not all. It happened to me with Logarius- he just kept swinging his scythe and wouldn't do anything else, so I knew I had the glitch. When I went to him on my other character it was the same thing, so I took advantage and beat him low level :)

Thanks for the tips, my friend. This sounds like a fun build, I'm looking forward to trying it out. I started as Waste of Skin yesterday and only cleared Central Yarnham so I am still a blank slate for the most part. I wanted to mess around with Arcane as well but it sounds like that would be better served for a separate build.
