Enough about this box office thing, Avatar will never come close to having the impact on the world Star Wars had, no one talks about avatar anymore (the sequels will obviously change that for a time), Star Wars will never die out. It's changed so many lives, it is the modern myth, it is part of world history in a way Avatar will never be talked about.

I don't care that Han Solo is in this movie. I was more excited at the Boyega and Daisy Ridley shots

Same. I'm expecting Ford to just play bored grumpy old guy, don't really care about the Han Solo character at this point. Leia will likely be jarring to look at unfortunately, and I'm only marginally interested in seeing Luke.

I'm fine with the old imagery, vehicles, weapons, etc. but I'm excited for new characters and stories.

Kind of hoping that the new Sith is using biological material from the Vader mask and maybe Luke's hand to clone a perfect Skywalker, who will then become an apprentice of his in the next movie.

Maybe Leia hears about it when that alien brings her the Lightsaber. Maybe the alien had both the lightsaber and Luke's hand, but the new Sith stole the hand.

We'd have a new "son" of Skywalker vs a daughter of Solo. And this movie would set up the new main villain for the next.

Looking back on it, even The Phantom Menace's teaser started to show signs of problems, and that's one of the hypest teasers ever. It showed the political crap with Amidala, it showed us that a lead character would indeed be a kid, which is toying with disaster, and most of it seemed to show off the cool alien designs. This one sees to build the world more effectively and of course manages to throw those nostalgia punches.

So hopefully we get some details on what exactly it means to be a Sith vs. someone who uses the dark side of the Force. It looks like Adam Driver's character isn't "Sith" per se.

Pure speculation however.
