Uh oh, the update failed on me and now I lost all four of my games.

I'm currently redownloading Mii Force, but I hope that my progress isn't lost. I 100%ed all of them, including getting all flower colors in Flower Town.

If I lose my golden watering can I'm gonna be pissed.

I found something else 4.0 added which veteran players won't even notice. They added the Helper Hare to Streetpass Quest/Find Mii. You can toggle it on or off but when enabled it'll appear and do stuff like break shields or remove traps. The catch is it only shows up in rooms you've cleared before. You can also scout where hats are by holding X on the world map. Kind of a bit late as I did the secret quests already but the hare is motivation to finish the final one to get the stupid medal on the game icon (you can disable these medals being displayed if they bother you in the options).

Example of use (sorry for the quality, I botched the focus and they don't scale down well):

The help got ambushed rather than the Mii I had. Should be more helpful elsewhere assuming it auto-summons the correct people to put out fires etc.

I really hope "I've got a bad feeling about this..." was a Star Fox reference.

I have medals over some games. What do they mean?

You've reach a defined end point (I guess for the DL games having the second outfit) unlocked. That isn't the same as having all plaza tickets.

For the built in games I think they will come and go with the quest completed or having all the puzzle swap pieces.

Same thing happened to me except I had a full 10. Would gladly pay for VIP if they boosted the Street Pass limit. I did anyway.

Funny thing. The. Ten I have now all came from a single visit to a Best Buy. They absolutely need to raise the limit.

Just picked up the zombi & fishing games, said that because i owned all the other streetpass games i could get the pack of new games for £6.29.

I picked up the Premium pack as well.

Also picked up the Ninja Mii outfit, looks very cool.

speaking of maps, i noticed they still haven't bothered with putting up actual maps of countries they keep track of. have they ever given a reason why so many countries don't matter?

No, at least not that I know of. I also feel like if they did update the map they might charge us for it going by the Premium thing lol

Maybe there's not a big demand for it since I'm guessing a significant part of the userbase (especially outside Japan/US/Europe) don't get many streetpasses at all. Would be nice if they did regardless

A similar thing happened to a friend whose 3DS failed to download a new puzzle swap board. It fixed itself once the download was completed later.

There are three separate files (one in Extra Data, two in Add-on Content) for Streetpass Plaza. I can only assume that the one in Extra Data is the plaza's savefile, so you don't lose progress to a corrupted update.

Heh, so I went back to Mii Plaza with 3 miis, & got bubbles for Puzzle Swap, Bunny, Mii Force, Flower Town, Warrior's Way, & Monster Manor.

Huh, also got one for Find Mii. Wonder when I got that.

They didn't lock outfit completion behind it but bubble completion instead. You get enough tickets from the 2 new games to get all the outfits.

A Ninja hat was in the second update. New to 4.0 is a full Ninja outfit for your Mii.

Just started the update, but I also noticed my Plaza got overtaken by random Miis again. Which games do that so I can turn that off? I know Mario Kart 7 did.

It's gonna be a pain to fix this, they haven't included some sort of mass delete feature with this update too have they. :l

You turn that off in the SP Mii Plaza settings, not per-game. You need to set Invitations to NO.

Pretty sure I turned that off back when I got Mario Kart unless that game did have an in-game option for it. Weird.

The Streetpass games look dope but fuck that VIP DLC. It should have been free to encourage more people to use Streetpass. I have 4 friends who have 3DS' and none care about them.

I just got both games and they seem cool, even the fishing one. I just need to get the last ticket in the gardening game and still working on the ghost game too. I really just wish I could get more streetpasses to make it easier. If the VIP had a connect online anywhere and get 10 streetpasses a day or something essential I would get that as well but it seems pretty minor.

This is actually hugely helpful and I'm pretty sure it will make both games much less annoying, too bad I was done with them long ago. It also reminds me how awesome would Find Mii III be, specially if attacks and special effects were determined by the hat the Miis are wearing instead of their colors.

Oh sweet, you can see where hats are now in Find Mii 2? That was the biggest annoyance with replaying that game, because I had no idea which paths I still had to take.

Edit: Looks like I have 6 hats left, but damn it, they're all spread over the map, so I think I can only get one at a time.......

You'll need those tickets if you want all the bubbles but if you just want the outfits you can do without VIP.

Edit: what is confusing is the US translation of the shop blurb says you can get more tickets than all the other games combined while the EU one just says you can get loads of tickets just like the other games.

A lame thing about VIP is it is so badly advertised:
-Change the BGM of the plaza...as long as it is main theme 1-7
-Save you favorite Miis...as long as they are not "met by invitation"
-Collect birthdays...but your existing plaza is completely useless for this
-Possible mistranslation in America lying to consumers about how many tickets they will get

I've still got loads of things to do in StreetPass Squad because I can never be bothered playing it. And I need all the Puzzle Boxes in StreetPass Mansion too. Totally loving the new games, though.

I think it simply means 'completed' - in the sense, here, of "made end credits roll".

My favourite weapon in StreetPass Zombie so far is the one when someone has the hobby “travel”. It’s a roller luggage you beat the shit out of things with, but the special power is to summon a bus that the zombies all get on, and then it drives into a black hole.

I need this game.

Keep going. There will eventually be another prompt. Don't worry, you won't accidentally purchase anything you don't want to &#8211; there are an absurd number of screens to get through and the one where you actually confirm the purchase is extremely obvious.

Not even for pink pieces, I mean I can get those pretty easily from passing people, although I can see them for like 5 coins or something.

But holy shit is Puzzle Swap infuriating. Because it takes into account all of the pieces in the puzzles you still have open spots on instead of the remaining empty spots it means you have a much, much lower chance of getting the piece you need.

I wish they'd do an update where when you spend the 2 coins, you can get one from a space you still need. People can complete puzzles much easier, and it still makes people go looking for pink pieces.
