In order of appearances

  1. She starts in the rafters above the aqueduct in Central Yharnam.
  2. She appears in the second spot outside the Cathedral Ward when you open the gate at the top of the stairs across from her. If you already talked to her in Central Yharnam, she'll warn you not to go to the Tomb of Odeon.
  3. The next time you encounter a loading screen, she'll move to the Tomb of Odeon. The lamp will be disabled, so you'll have to warp to a nearby one if you're in the Hunter's Dream to get to her.
  4. When the Red Moon rises, if you talked to Eileen in each of the above places, she'll be outside the Grand Cathedral. If you missed any of them, she'll be inside the cathedral.

I think my game is bugged because I only saw her at first 2, then missed her the rest. She was never
in the cathedral for me.
Never waited for me or anything

Has anyone here tried using Beast Claws from a new character as soon as it's available? Seems like you'd need to be able to get trough Central Pthumerian to get the ritual ingredients and then go to Ailing Loran and grab the claws. All this is available as soon as you do both
Blood Starved Beast and Amygdala
, meaning you can leave plenty of story and optional bosses to do after having gotten the claws.

I did this to get a quick Chikage at level 35 but I think I can get Beast Claws even earlier.

Damn, good job clearing Ailing Loran at a low level. Why do you need
Amygdala
though? Does she drop some necessarily ritual material? I don't even remember if there's any reward you pick up after her.

Amygdala
drops the Loran Chalice.

This early clinic exploit is going to make me try many new builds. :D

Protip: pick your weapon based on its move set. I can tell you that Ludwig's is my favorite and it's really powerful, but if for some reason you don't like the move set, it's worthless to you.

I'm fighting the hunter on the
bridge in the Nightmare of Mensis.

I'm kicking his ass and
twice as this guy is about to go down, I die instantly. There is no gauge that I saw, there was no Frenzy prompt, I'm just dead.
I have no idea what is going on.

I haven't done AL yet, only Regular and Central Pthu. I didn't realize you need to do Lower Pthu to get Ritual Blood 4 until Toxi clarified. That will be a pain with only a Saw Cleaver +3. Maybe impossible at level 25.

AL I think the enemies are pretty easy compared to Pthu. The reason you need to kill that boss is she drops the Loran Chalice
 
So I beat
rom
on my 4th attempt, it was pretty easy once I stopped being stubborn
and at least took out a few baby spiders to thin the herd.
and I haven't had much trouble at all with the game from after
father g up to beating rom
but now I'm at
the unseen village
and man it feels like I've made no progress at all, just getting clobbered. Is this normal or did I just get too cocky?

I just beat that hunter last night. I was using the Hunters Axe and the Totrinus (sp?). I switched the Hunters Axe to the long version and he couldn't handle it. Also, keep moving and use the big table in the center downstairs to keep distance between you. The real fight comes soon after that. :)

haha I meant that as a joke of course :p but hmmm I would assume if you're able to beat the
watchdog in the defiled dungeon
you should be fine :) that boss I mention is harder imo. Watch out for
amygdala jumping attack near the end. Think that will either kill you in one hit most likely

Holy blade and axe is my second favorite
 
Just realise that if i want to join a chalice with additional attributes, i will need to create one with those too.

If I made one with all 3 attribute, fetid, curse, rotted.
Can i join the other with no/1/2 attribute?
 
Trying to decide where to spend my second bloodrock. A +9 Chikage with 50 SKL and 50 BDT is still woefully underwhelming. Blade of mercy still beats it hands down.

At this point for sure
Amygdala
is harder for me. Using Ludwig Holy Blade too. I do get jumped on sometimes but that doesn't kill me as much as its arms, I just can't dodge enough.
 
Damn I wanted to go with a strength/bloodtinge but I have no idea what to use. I'm thinking the cannon as my gun but I don't know what trick weapon to use. I've already used the holy blade and kirkhammer with another character and I don't like the Stake Driver at all. There's the Tonitrus I guess :/
 
Just got the platinum. Now I never want to play this game again. Still really like the game but going for the plat just exposed a lot of the problems the game had and just got me too frustrated. I'll probably be back for DLC but for now this is going on the shelf.

Hmm I used the same weapon, are you using the greatsword form? It's able to hit
amygdala's head when you hit L2
perhaps I should have saved my video of my fight. Try to rush in, L2, and roll behind. That's what I did and manage to kill
amygdala
on my second attempt. Try to bait the head slam as well.

Edit: I think bolt paper is also effective.

lol i just finished it in like 30 mins in NG+. just keep moving forward and look for bell maidens.

Also time to +9 chikage! time to see if this is any good and if i wasted all my levels in BT. Though im capped in all other stats minus arcande (not hard 99 cap)

Also took on all 3
hunters at the same time. Just learned to pull back and space them out with burial blades
 
So I managed to platinum this game. For me the Pthumerian Descendent in the Pthumerian Ihyll dungeon was the most difficult boss. I just can't dodge his attacks well.

Watchdog in Defiled was my favorite of the Chalice Bosses.

I've just learned to run. Run past those red assholes until you make it to the next lantern. Then after that, get ready for bullshit
hunters and beast hunters alike!

Seriously, I miss the fucking sackboys terribly now.
