Look the first and second battlefront had some sort of campaigns while playing offline with AI on both sides and doing missions. This is all ready not worth the money.

No space battles is very, very disappointing, It's great that they kept 3rd person and Heroes, but without both eras and without Space Battles I'm not really expecting this to be an 'improvement' in terms of features. Other than the graphics it seems like a step backwards in some ways.

Well they have to keep something for the Xpacs and sequels right?

I'm guessing the space battles will be part of some kind of Titan mode.

I hope this game has a Titan mode..............PLEASE!

Beautiful bullshots. It will be jarring when they finally show the actual, dull FPS gameplay.

Sigh.

What is the point of your post honestly? I have read your posting in other threads posting negative remarks based on nothing but assumptions, just like you are doing now.

And for people asking yes you can switch at any time from perspective view, here from GI article "changes the viewpoint from first-person to third, something players can freely do at any time during gameplay."

At this point we kinda know what the difference will be, just look at BF4 and Hardline and the differences between PS4/XB1 and it'll be a safe bet the difference will be about the same.

Or the improved both. 900p for Xbone and 1080p for PS4. I really hope so.

More details.

DICE general manager Patrick Bach told Eurogamer Star Wars: Battlefront does not feature a campaign. Rather, it features "crafted missions" that are played solo, with a friend via split-screen offline or cooperatively online.

Elsewhere, Star Wars: Battlefront, due out in the UK on 20th November 2015 for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, has a maximum player count of 40. However, Bach told Eurogamer Battlefront will include a raft of modes that have different player caps, some significantly smaller than the bigger modes that cap at 40.

During battles players can switch from a first-person perspective to a third-person perspective at will. DICE said you'll also be able to customise your characters, choosing gear, weapons and abilities - although don't expect to be able to put a pink cape on Darth Vader.

There's a two-player splitscreen mode, and the Partner feature means two players can share experience and unlocks, and spawn at each other's location.

DICE is a well-funded, successful studio with plenty of talented artists on staff who are more than capable of producing near-photorealistic Stormtroopers or X-Wings, but it's chosen to use extensive photogrammetry, a technique which composites high-resolution scans of real-world objects to create digital assets. DICE has used this process to create digital impressions of several key props and models used in the original films. It means that not only are the proportions of such objects precise and authentic, but every scratch and blemish of the original object is also translated into the game. What is means is that the X-Wings available in the game are, essentially, the X-Wings from the original movie. Similarly, a comparable process – PBR (physically-based rendering) – was used to make sure the environments display a comparable level of fidelity, with DICE travelling to and scanning many of the key shooting locations used in the original trilogy. It's a fanatical quest for detail that I suspect most people won't consciously notice, though it's one of the silent factors in making this feel so much like Star Wars.

THIS IS UNREAL AND UNPRECEDENTED FOR A GAME.

No wonder it looks so fucking fantastic!

Kinda disappointing, but after Battlefield 3 and 4's terribad campaigns I'm okay with this.

You really think so? BF4 screens can be touched up using the cinematic tools, so it wouldn't surprise me if the same was going on with these promo shots. I'm sure they've also put extra effort into geometry (especially those river rocks) but I think it's a leap to say that much detail will transfer over to the console versions. Certainly not at 60fps. I'd love to be wrong.

Those two images are nowhere near the shots of this game.

- No campaign
- No space battles
- No pilotable walkers
- Probably exclusive content on PS4

Welp.

Coop and 3rd person toggle is nice though

I'm comfortable with there being no campaign. I mean, the Battlefield series didn't have a campaign for the longest time and they were still solid. The one part I'm having a hard time swallowing is the lack of space battles. Don't get me wrong, I'm still UBER hyped! I'm just hoping there's future DLC that makes it possible, I can't imagine there being a Battlefront game with no space interaction.

They didn't had much development time.

You want a campaign.

You want space battles.

But you'd be the first to cry when the game has a disastrous launch like BF4 did.

I'm picturing boring Destiny style grinds

ITT: People can't read

Rather than a traditional solo outing, Battlefront will rely on a set of short missions which can be played alone, or cooperatively via split-screen or online

Same as Battlefront 2.

I don't care about a campaign, I just hope they have something like Galactic Conquest. That mode was better than any campaign DICE is capable of.

Give me that and bots and I'm fine.

I'm confused now, there is no campaign yet everything takes place during battles from the movies? Is this going to be story based multiplayer like Titanfall?

Edit:

Hmmm.
