Leaked Battlefront info (40 players, heroes, free Ep7 DLC, FPS & TPS) [Full Screens]

I don't tend to play SP with MP games as more often than not they are not worth the time. So am ok with Co-op missions,

-You can toggle between first and third person

-There's flyable vehicles but no space battles

Vadernoooo.gif Why u do dis Dice??

I think is to soon to assume the marketing deal based on that they played PS4 version.

Based on all the other hints from PS social accounts and John harker mention it would be surprising if it wasn't the case.

I didn't really enjoy the space battles very much, especially since they cut out aerial vehicles in BF2 (with the one exception at Hoth) specifically so that they could do space battles instead. Not sad to see them go.

I'm a little disappointed that there is nothing from the prequels though, that's stupid. There were some great prequel stages (Naboo, Mustafar, Coruscant, etc.) that should have been improved upon, not removed.

Star Wars: Battlefront will not have a single-player or narrative campaign, DICE revealed to IGN. Rather than a traditional solo outing, Battlefront will rely on a set of short missions which can be played alone, or cooperatively via split-screen or online.

The co-op missions are "connected," Bach said, "and they are quite different" from the regular competitive multiplayer. Missions are short, and intended to be replayed on higher difficulties. Producer Craig Mcleod offered more insight, stating, "Because it’s only a two-player experience you’re sharing with a friend, they’re custom built. "It’s not about pulling a section out of somewhere else and you just do them. I can’t go into specifics about what mission we’ll have, but when we think about multiplayer and co-op, what we’re really trying to do is immerse yourself in your Star Wars battle fantasies."

TBH, the co-op missions in Battlefield 3 sucked. They abandoned co-op completely in BF4.

Need more coal for this hype train, we're slowing down.

good thing Dice finally ditched single player campaigns, they were simply no good at them at all.

let that dead space studio work on the single player stuff

Also no campaign.

Look the first and second battlefront had some sort of campaigns while playing offline with AI on both sides and doing missions. This is all ready not worth the money.

Ugh. Not a deal breaker but i'd be lying if I said I wasn't disappointed.

Lol at people being mad about no Campaign.

Battlefront was always a Multiplayer game first to me.

No need to waste time into a shitty and short campaign.

I think they mean there's no campaign in the way of a "cohesive single-player history from plot point A to plot point B"... We seem to still be able to play several missions (I guess from various events in the Star Wars Saga) offline.
It's just that there's no plot running through/connecting those missions (well, besides the events in the Saga we all already know about). At least that's how I read it.

Everything I've played and seen from singleplayer campaigns in DICE's games have been so completely awful that I do am glad they're skipping it now. It's just a waste of resources.

And how fun would piloting AT-AT's really be? To make them worthwhile, they would probably have to go down the Robot Chicken route.

I don't understand gaf sometimes.

When a new Battlefield launches, people complain that they spend to much time focusing on single-player.

When a new Battlefront launches, people complain that they spend to much time focusing on multi-player.

There will be single player missions, just not focused around a central story.

I've come to hate that guy.
My god now I remember the time where I actively followed Bad company 2 and Battlefield 3. Even today I couldn't make a polite comment about Demize99, Batch or zh1nt0.

Everything they don't put in their game is bad and not fun.
Until they finaly add it in the next game.

lol @ people caring about the campaign in a fucking Battlefront game. As long as it has some kind of mode where you can run around and fight AI (which it sounds like it does), it's pretty much the same as the original games. No space battles if pretty disappointing. I remember playing the demo for one of the PSP games and it fucking had space battles.

From the very little info I've seen and the screens it's looking quite promising so I can only hope for this game to be a great experience with an amazing soundtrack. I also saw the trailer from the movie and got me even more interested in the franchise. I saw all the movies but might see them again. I still have two Star wars games to play for the first time: Star Wars Republic Commando and Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II.

I bet November is yet going to be another great month packed with amazing titles. Here's hoping for the best when it comes to my time and wallet. I'm sure others are on the same boat. ;)

$60 for a fully fledged MP suite that I plan to spend over 100 hours... uh, how is that not priced appropriately?

I can totally see space battles being DLC kinda how Dice did the naval stuff for battlefield 4.

Lack of campaign is disappointing, but not a total loss since it's the multiplayer that is important imo.

Keeping it OG trilogy era is ok with me as long as they make it feature packed...

The biggest thing for me is that it's 20v20... I don't understand why that is.
