As someone who never grew up with shooters that didn't have ADS...why is it considered such a bad thing? Is it because of the decreased spread/slight zoom?
It breaks up pacing, and slows down combat.

32 player bad company 2 was more fun than either BF3 or BF4 which had 64 players
map design is the key! and the game design
Yeah, if you only play halo and counter strike, which I have not for the past ten years.ADS is garbage Fps are better without it

I love people complaining about the AT-AT's when in BF2 all you could do was walking in a really slow pace towards the rebel base. Hell, people didn't move the damn thing too much, their sole purpose was for spawn points.
So you did not play a good MP shooter for 10 years.Yeah, if you only play halo and counter strike, which I have not for the past ten years.
So you can choose between third and first person.
So that means everyone is running around in third person.
Usually because of the style of play and game attached to them. It also usually means a more balanced gunplay system cos everyone only has hipfire as an option and less variablesthrough weapons, scopes, attachments etc. Like Battlefield gamesAs someone who never grew up with shooters that didn't have ADS...why is it considered such a bad thing? No ADS is a great thing.
It's probably done more for balancing than a limitation. I'm sure if they had more time to better balance combat overall, we'd have pilotable AT-ATs.
As DICE will later explain, this is a demo of a new mode called Walker Assault, which will support Battlefront’s largest player count with 40 players. Other maps and modes will support smaller player counts, down to as few as eight players.

No, I just have played FPS games that don't belong in a museumSo you did not play a good MP shooter for 10 years.
ok.
Then you don't have to ads, but how I decide to play should not effect your experience
makingstarwars.net said:- The story of Star Wars: Battlefronts campaign will span pretty much the entire Star Wars saga.
- Star Wars Battlefront will feature segments in which you play as both the good guys (Old Republic, Rebellion and Republic) and bad guys (Separatists and the Empire). It was specifically stated that there will be a small portion of prequel trilogy content. You will participate in a couple of battles from the Star Wars: The Clone Wars, and the space battle above Corsucant from the beginning of Revenge of the Sith.
- The majority of the campaign will take place during the original trilogy era. All of the battles and settings that you would expect to be there will be playable. It was said that the campaign itself is pretty long when compared to other first person shooters.
- There will be some segments of the campaign which take place between Return of the Jedi and The Force Awakens. There wont be a lot because in their words Lucasfilm has a lot of plans for that era.
- The last section of the campaign takes place before and during the opening segments of The Force Awakens. Dont expect anything too revealing, because the game is expected to ship about a month before the movie releases.
no campaign? lol
No ADS is a great thing.
It breaks up pacing, and slows down combat.
ADS slows the game down, makes it campy, and introduces bullshit like different amounts of recoil, which makes little sense in a game with blasters. All in all, a great decision by DICE.

So those rumors on makingstarwars.net regarding the single player campaign were wrong?

Thats just my guess, because DICEs Battlefront demo doesnt offer a complete picture of what the game is actually like to play. I didnt see how you spawn in, or the loadout screen for choosing weapon loadouts. DICE told me that its eschewed a distinct class system in favor of more general customization optionsplayers will be able to choose what weapons they take into battle, including different types of blasters and secondary weapons. In the demo, I saw thermal detonators (thats Star Wars for grenade) and a consumable shield generator that protected rebel troopers with a shimmery blue bubble of energy.
DICE said customization will also extend to abilities, and as you may have guessed from Darth Vaders appearance, hero characters are most definitely back. DICE confirmed Vader and Boba Fett are both playable, but didnt specify how theyll be selectablewhether, like in Battlefront 2, youll have to achieve a set goal before spawning in as a hero.
DICE didnt want to talk much about gameplay modes or features, though it did mention the Partner system, which works a bit like squads in Battlefield. Players can choose one Partner to always be able to see in-game, and always be able to spawn next to. But more importantly, youll be able to share item/weapon unlocks with your partner. Battlefront definitely has some kind of progression system for unlocking new weapons, and your partner will be able to use anything youve unlocked, even if theyre a lower level.
Yeah they should stop complaining, we will most likely have 4v4 team deathmatch and unlocks, that's what people were all hoping for.But it's getting silly.
There are people that want it to stay exactly the same as their nostalgia glasses remember the games. But also have all the additional little tweaks that their own personality wants.
I seriously feel like some people want Battlefront to be NoMansSky-Battlefield-DriveClub-Bloodborne-Skyrim-Titanfall and anything short of that will not be good enough.
It's a game guys. It's not all things to all people. But can we quit saying "I'm done with this game!" because it neglects one feature that you put up on a pedestal? That's just throwing the baby out with the bathwater. It's your money and your choice, but it also makes you sounds a bit petty.
As long as STs are still pilotable, I'm not too worried. I can't imagine piloting an AT-AT would be much fun anyway. They're slow as hell.It will still probably be fun to hop on them and use the guns. I am not really worried about it.

You played any of the Battlefield campaigns?
I think they should include ADS and keep the recoil/zoom level exactly the same as hip-fire. That way you please everyone and it doesn't give ADS players an advantage. It's not a deal-breaker for me, though.
no campaign? lol
Maybe this will help.
