Leaked Battlefront info (40 players, heroes, free Ep7 DLC, FPS & TPS) [Full Screens]

Games that have ADS give huge penalties to not using it. I'm not saying that all games with ADS should go burn in a fire, but there are benefits to a game not having ADS at all.
Wolfenstein didn't penalize me for switching between ADS or firing from the hip, accuracy stayed the same depending on the situation and what I decided to use

Space battles not included due to development of separate rogue squadron game.

Please buy new rogue squadron game.

Please understand.

Did the "no campaign, no buy" people actually play Battlefront 2 back in the day?

You know it had no campaign, right?

It had short missions on MP maps held together by a voice over and movie footage.

You know...kind of like what this seems to have...(though I imagine without the movie scenes).

Also, DICE suck at campaigns. This is a win.

Wow, the PC gamer preview was actually well put together. Good impressions with some good questions that need answered (why are you showing so little only six months out?)

Why do people WANT a campaign? :/

DICE are fucking awful at them and when handling something as big as Star Wars it would only end badly.

Plus this means more time dedicated to making the MP which is something they needed to do for the Battlefield games

And Battlefront 2 didnt have one either really and its amazing

Yep, that's a Battlefront. A game which I never had any interest in because of a lack of any meaningful single player.

I'm pretty sure Battlefront games never had a campaign right ?

There was the 501st campaign in Battlefront 2 and I think maybe the PSP game had one, but I didn't play it.

But they weren't far off from the Titanfall scenario of stock matches with some dialogue thrown in.

I can deal with some of the negatives, not proper campaign is fine as the previous ones from memory didn't have them either, and I haven't touched neither BF4 or BFH campaigns.

But no Space Battles, what the fuck?

That is the only thing I really wanted from this, how hard can it be to throw out two big ships and a bunch of vehicles into a big otherwise empty void. I'm really disappointed about this, more so than anything else. The thought of 32 vs 32 space battles is what I truly wanted from this game, I can accept fewer players, but no space battles, that really sucks. Who thought that was a good idea when in many ways space battles are a massive part of Star Wars.

No, I just have played FPS games that don't belong in a museum

As long as STs are still pilotable, I'm not too worried. I can't imagine piloting an AT-AT would be much fun anyway. They're slow as hell.

That is a good point. Now that I think about it, I am not sure I would want to pilot such a lumbering giant. Being the gunner is all I need there.

Honestly, I'm glad there is no SP, but I have to say, if they aren't going to do that, why not spend the same time to make space battles? Or have it to where it can be bigger than 40 (seriously, it's a very weird MP number).

I'm going to go with a resounding

Edit: Or they are all just trolling.

'64 players is Battlefield only'

That's not a very good excuse.

No ADS either? What the hell...

I mean it sounds great, no space battles and 40 player isn't a deal breaker by any means. But the most important thing to me is the map design and the modes. Walker Assault doesn't sound terribly interesting at all..

I guess it's alright for this first product to be kind of bare bones.

Just worry about making what content you do have excellent and once you have made your billion dollars and sold 15 million copies you can go in and add an awesome, long and extensive and epic campaign along with space combat and whatnot.

I'm not much into MP shooters anymore but seeing as this is Star Wars and looks so good I'll let it pass.

But if even the MP is bare bones with little mode variation and not many maps. Then we have problems

- No campaign
- No space battles
- No pilotable walkers
- Probably exclusive content on PS4

Welp.

Coop and 3rd person toggle is nice though

WHAT? Is this confirmed?? They better have the walkers pilotable. That's the main thing I was looking forward to! They had them on the older games for christ sakes.

What this person said.

DICE can't make a good campaign in their multiplayer shooters so I'm okay with them not even trying for this and making a mess out of it.

A unique circumstance that's not even multiplayer, and as such isn't balanced for it. You're not gonna sit here and tell me that multiplayer games with ADS don't emphasize the use of it over hip fire, are you?

Makes sense for how this game looks to be in the spirit of the old Battlefronts and that it does make little sense here. However, not every game should play like an arena shooter.

Agreed, and not every game should play like COD. And Battlefront isn't really an arena shooter anyway, so....

You guys know that a completely different developer is making this game, right?

Welp guys, pack it up, Sn4ke got you there.

Doesn't matter if there are no space battles instead of singleplayer, it's a different developer so it's okay. It'll probably still be $60, but we can't complain now.

Lemme just get my credit card and pre-order the collector's edition and all DLC.
