Seriously, didn't they say they would be showing actual gameplay at Celebration? It can't just be the trailer...
Yes they are showing it for attendees. It was mentioned before I'm pretty sure. Only trailer for us stream viewers

EA's press site list's a TBA version, probably mobile.
Yeah, I was going to say some kind of iOS tie-in.
You mean the game that sold more physical copies on xbox? yep![]()

A few posts back: http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showpost.php?p=160531231&postcount=1453EA's press site list's a TBA version, probably mobile.
Yeah, looks like it. I thought I read that the gameplay would be shown on the stream as well. Hopefully someone uploads a cam video of it today.
Can't stay away. Amazon shows the box art to be exactly what EatChildren mocked up. Nice.
It doesn't really need a campaign though does it? The campaign is the movie everyone is already going to see.No shitty 4 hour DICE single player campaign? Okay, now I'm kinda interested.
60fps is great. Trailer is great.
But how about some clarification, DICE? They said 4 planets, how many maps per planet?
Six months out from release, EA certainly couldve shown us what a real match of Battlefront looks like. Maybe it would be a little messy, a little rough around the edges, but it would be realand it would probably be fun. Instead, were left guessing at what Battlefront will really feel like to play and how well it will truly stand apart from Battlefield. Were left guessing at most everything, reallyexcept for the fact that it sure does look good.
Not much info for six months from release. Even the press only got to see another scripted segment.
PC Gamer:
Can't see the trailer!
Any gameplay?
Also, will there be any kind of micro transactions?
Not really.
Most people had China Rising at least.
The base map servers were always plentiful.
Unless they gave the maps away for free, I don't see how they could have done it better.
http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/B00W8FYFBA/6740124-20/Pre-order site up? I need to get in on that but it's not appearing in search for me.
Anything useful come out of the panel?
Rather than a traditional solo outing, Battlefront will rely on a set of short missions which can be played alone, or cooperatively via split-screen or online...The co-op missions are "connected," Bach said, "and they are quite different" from the regular competitive multiplayer. Missions are short, and intended to be replayed on higher difficulties. Producer Craig Mcleod offered more insight, stating, "Because it’s only a two-player experience you’re sharing with a friend, they’re custom built. "It’s not about pulling a section out of somewhere else and you just do them. I can’t go into specifics about what mission we’ll have, but when we think about multiplayer and co-op, what we’re really trying to do is immerse yourself in your Star Wars battle fantasies."
Eh, I need impressions before I can get hyped about that. If I'm just running around as generic republican soldier with a blaster, fuck that shit.
ADS confirmedI wonder if he'll try to get DICE to turn this into a 5v5 "competitive shooter" like with Battlefield 3 and 4? I'm sorry, but it's just hard for me to take him seriously after that.
Amazon Bonus Offer: Pre-order and be the first to battle on planet Jakku with 2 additional maps

That's wrong. BF2 had a campaign. A story driven campaign that had a proper structure, objectives, cut scenes. The works.
Stop trying to excuse the lack of a campaign in this by outright lying about what was in BF2.
That is not the same. In Battlefront 2 you have the same exact maps from the multiplayer with a bit of voice over, the absolute barebones campaign you can think of. The single player they are working on for this game sound A TON better.
About this, this doesn't sound at all like previous battlefront games, or like Gal Con. There was a campaign with modified multiplayer maps in the battlefront games, but it also had a story. This just sounds like quick and dirty co-op matches against bots.
