what video?

I didn't get to watch the event or whatever they had, but will there be TFA battles or TFA DLC? References? Costumes?

I suppose they can't really say any of that, but it would be neat.

This guy is answering questions about the gameplay presentation he saw.

Let's be honest, even if they showed raw gameplay the "No way it will look that good" reaction would be the exact same.

Well no not really.

I'd half expect to see some minor downgrades from the gameplay reveal.

But if they showed raw gameplay of an actual online match, I'd be inclined to expect that the game will generally look like give or take a bit.

But obviously something like this I'm lowering my expectations quite a bit. Far more than I would if I saw an actual match.

I said it's embarrassing because it was embarrassing.

You took issue with someone's excitement.

That's amusing.

When I think about it, BF4 on PS4 was really impressive, and it was a launch title (completely unoptimized for the system + I'm sure Sony has made some improvements to the SDK since then).

I wouldn't be THAT surprised if Battlefront ends up looking like that.

Sorry, but I'm not going to take that seriously when the account is tied to the IP. Of course they won't say anything remotely negative about the game. I'm waiting for a response from an outside perspective.
It's a fan account. They have no official affiliation.

Damn this just in-engine. Sorry but that's worth absolutely nothing, it's like a concept video and it gives us no indication about how the game will actually look and play on the PS4, so lame.

"Breaking the internet" sure EA :|

We have heard multiple outside perspectives thus far.

Everyone so far has said gameplay looks on par with the announcement footage and todays trailer.

It's clear you're all for more PS4s being bought, we got it. You seemed to have missed the point we were all trying to point out.

Marketing deals are the norm.

No sense in taking issue with this one unless you really wanted to see Microsoft pick this one up.

Marketing deals are not some big terrible thing.

I don't want to play as special characters. I just want to play as the regular soldier's on the ground.

What I hated about the last two games was how unbalanced they were. Vehicles were way overpowered and took too much to kill in BF1 and BF2 special characters were cheap as fuck.

Dice is no stranger to unbalanced games as well and this to me just sounds like shit.

The scripted demo sounds like Battlefield 4's Siege of Shanghai demo. I'm much more interested in unscripted and live gameplay than something like that to be honest. We'd probably have to wait to E3 for that.

They're not something to celebrate either. They're there, it is what it is. But to be happy about one of them is fucking insane.

Kind of makes it worse, doesn't it? Regardless, they're too close for my liking. Huge grain of salt through this whole thing.
That's fair. Personally I've talked to a few journos who were pretty indifferent on the game and all said the same thing really, that it really does look like the trailer in gameplay. We'll see at E3 I suppose.

Yeah that does sound a bit worrying.

So XboxOne version should stay shit at 720p and not so good framerate? gotcha...

I really really hope that the XboxOne version isnt 720p. I really dont care if its 60fps if the IQ is awful.

I don't see the problem. Especially if it means the potential for a bundle.
People need not get worked up over something someone's excited for.
Trying to temper someone's enjoyment isn't really useful.

This is DICE and EA

There WILL be bolt on DLC maps which you can buy in the Premium package like in BF3/4/Hardline for $60

I 99% guarantee it
In that case I might just wait for the inevitable GOTY edition. If the game is good, people will continue to play several months after release. If it's bad, then I dodged a bullet.
There is going to be free Ep7 dlc
Free stuff on top of a broken game means nothing to me. I will wait for post-launch reviews.

I really want this game to be good but I'm not ready to throw money away. These guys need to earn it.

I honestly have no faith in any of the media/journalists. I want to see someone play through a level on the PS4, Xbox, or PC (with specs detailed).

We really need to push publishers to start being truthful with these trailers.

I don't get impressed by cutscene target-render trailers anymore.

Show me gameplay. Show me someone actually playing the game.

As I stated in my original post, these kind of things are disgusting no matter what platform, unless it's a exclusive to a certain console which this isn't. I met people who thought destiny was a playstation exclusive for a long time before it was release but I'm done derailing the thread.

I look forward to actual gameplay at E3.

Gamers have a habit of rewarding publishers who continually misrepresent and launch broken games.

I plan on waiting it out and see how the game turns out before handing over my money.

That looked amazing.
But cutscenes...current Gen has proved it's more than capable of rendering cgi quality stuff during cutscenes.

But DICE ? And 2 yrs after BF4.. Hmm..won't get my hopes up but they can do it.

So the planets are
1) Hoth
2) Endor
3) Tatooine
4) Sullust

Got to say that's a pretty diverse, but that still leaves out a dozen other planets that were in the previous games.
