Sooo, I'm level 213, near the end of my NG++, and you know, erm... I still don't know how to... reach that damn item in Cathedral Ward '-'

I wonder how many people took this route to Cathedral District because it's actually the official way.

Ah yes, the beast bonus. Totally forgot about that. How much damage does it add?
I always kill the 1st wave then I run like mad to find the bell ringing. If you dont kill them once they dont despawn when you kill the bell maiden.
Hmm. I might look a little into upgrading that spear then. I've been using Mercy for quite some time, but I want a weapon that can be buffed.I have no idea... All I know is that it was doing higher damage than the axe (If I remember correctly) versus the "mini wolves" in old Yharman, both weapons were +3.
Well sometimes, when I run fast enough to kill the maiden, the spiders just disappear. But once, some of the spiders were still there while there weren't any maiden around, I didn't understand that.
Anyway, when there are like 2 maidens in the same room, it's damn horrible. And those spiders hurt really bad.
I just killed Rom. How far am I into the game?

I alweas read you need an item to progress and open that one gate, guess how confused I was when I ended up on the other side as I took this way. How can you even miss this way?I wonder how many people took this route to Cathedral District because it's actually the official way.

Thanks!
LHB was a great first weapon, quality build + LHB = easy wins in a lot of situations, throw a little arcane in there and you can buff it up, use quickening, etc. it's quite great.
I also enjoyed my bloodtinge build with Evelyn and chikage. Chikage puts out ridiculous dps when you get to unload on an enemy. and evelyn with high bloodtinge lets you do things that maybe you shouldn't be able to do.
I dont think its possible because that enemy has eyes all over, so it will see you even if you try to sneak up from behind. The only way i know is inI still don't know how to kill these things without taking damage. Full health? Go in and whack them till they die but still get hit with Frenzy anyway.

Man, I wish my character moved as well as Father. I've got good at stunning him, but somehow he still sneaks in a hit so by the time I recover it's all useless. This fight would be so much better if he didn't have another form. It really cheapens what would be an awesome fight.Gascoigne
Still can't get past this bastard.
Started NG+ and have mostly been doing chalice dungeons.
But I took a break to try and defeat Cleric Beast and got him to about 1/3 health. Didn't think I'd be doing so little dmg though using the transformmed blades of mercy.
I have them fortified to +8. I have 28 skill for my character but arcane is only 9. My 3 gem fortifications are: +18% physical ATK, + 18% physical ATK, and SKL scaling +12. The final gem buffs the skill scaling for the blades to 'S'.
Still feel I should be doing more damage per strike with them.
/confused

Oh I agree, I beat Lin two tries last night. Granted I only had one vial left but I didn't find the fight that bad. I found the early game bosses to be he hardest by far.ogarius
Me neither. Wanna gang up on him?
have you never been to the abandoned workshop?

I'm a BB/Souls noob and halfway through the game (I guess) having killed R and now at the/Lecture Hallarea - but reading the above portions I'm not even sure what you guys mean when you go into builds.NF
Is that a mix of:
Armor with specific stats+leveling specific stats+weapons with specific stats? (I assume)
I have cranked up strength, vitality and endurance - and am now working on skill. (Using the Axe and LHB - also the hunter rifle)
Mid 20's for the first 3 and skill in the teens. Arc and BT I think are 10.
What kind of levels are you guys cranking these to for the outcomes you mentioned?
Please forgive noobquestion...ish![]()
Yeah. How do you do that? I haven't tried any of the multiplayer stuff yet.
He's not that hard at all. It's basically the learning curve for parrying. Also, there's a music box you can get that will disorientate him.
His extra form is the first "Oh shit!" moment of the game. That makes it an awesome fight.

2/3
Vicar = 1/3
Rom= 2/3
Gerhman = 3/3

The parrying would be great if the window wasn't in the time I get hit. I've stunned him multiple times when he has already made contact, and I can't recover in time to actually get the big attack in. That doesn't seem like how it should work. And he has many attacks that feel like they should be counter-able, but don't work (his dive, for example).
And that form is an excellent "Oh shit" moment, but the actually change in pattern and damage is just plain cheap. It's more like a "We gotcha", especially in a well designed fight against a similar opponent.
I know you spoilered it, but damn... that is like an ultra spoiler. The guy didn't ask anything about the final boss. No reason to even mention it. Just my two cents. I'd be pissed if I accidently read that while asking such a simple question like how far in am I.
I used Ludwigs Sword and the Great Axe in my first run and upgraded them to +10 and +9 respectively.+8 in NG+? how come?
Your timing on the gun seems to be off. You can parry him without taking the hit for almost every attack. The last phase is little trickier since they clearly designed some of his attacks to be delayed enough to catch you off guard. Don't get greedy and try to learn the time for dodging and parrying.
eh,.its actually a good thing to know. Its not like its that mind blowing and knowing it can prevent you from going into NG+ before you want. But I mean at this point 3+ weeks after launch you are really good at keeping your head in the dirt if you dont know all of the bosses, at least their names
I can fine tune the timing for sure, I'm not pretending to be very good at this game. But when the parry window reaches to contact, I feel like something is a little off. Honestly, I still haven't fully pegged when to shoot. Sometimes I need to do it in the very beginning, other times right at the end.
