Leaked Battlefront info (40 players, heroes, free Ep7 DLC, FPS & TPS) [Full Screens]

Can someone ask how close the actual gameplay on PS4 is to this image? That way we can shut some people up in here:

I will die from happiness if the animation in the actual game comes close to this gif.

I already asked my question, so someone should ask about being able to play as key characters. Are there going to be 40 Darth Vaders running around with lightsabers?

I don't have a twitter. Can someone or has someone asked about instant action? Would literally be all I need to buy this if its like Battlefront 2

EDIT: Also, maybe ask about alpha/beta

You can create an account in under 2 minutes, Twitter is often shit talk but it's worth.

This can run at 60 fps with that graphics on ps4 at 640x480 resolution. All joking aside expect severe downgrade for console.

I like how they added a GUI to pretend this was ingame. But then the guy fires a couple of shots, but his remaining ammunition in that gui doesn't even change.

Anyway, impressive footage - so impressive that I'd bet this is going to be nowhere close to actual gameplay. "In-engine" footage can be anything from actual gameplay right up to something rendered on a cluster of PCs with each frame rendering two days, but using engine algorithms. In this was gameplay, they'd write gameplay, not "in engine".

It's also 5.6MB in size according to those details.

Yeah I just checked Hardline there and it says 1080p output so I presume it's a placeholder.

That's just a mock up someone did to show what DICE were saying about it looking like that in game :P

Not going to lie, I am really interested in making this my replacement for COD this year, but lack of single player is a kick in the balls. A lot of my purchasing decision will rest on these co op missions and how good they are, plus if you can play private matches against bots. My live PvP matches are less than 10% of what I do in COD and Destiny, so it is the other stuff that matters most for me...

If they want it to look like that gif I can't see it being any higher. No way it will be 1080/60 and look like that. I'll eat a crow pie if it does but I can't see it.

Honestly, I don't see them pulling it off at 720p either.

It'll be 900p with conspicuous downgrades.

Ah. You're right. This probably won't be the only opportunity to do something like this and I guess there is still enough time to do a submission. I'll go make one

Wow, you know this was made by a gaffer

Blasters don't have ammo.

That GIF was made by someone here on GAF in another thread. It isn't official from DICE if that's what you mean.

How can we believe that's ingame graphics when neither The Order or Ryse, which are straight linear games don't reach that level? And here we are talking about an online game with great areas, 40 players and 60fps

Ive been out of office all day. Did they show the actual HUD in the trailer? I only watched it on my phone and wasnt really paying attention. Other than the reveal trailer is there any MP screens floating around that show the actual HUD?

Looks like someone asked this.

Pretty sure it will be 720p on PS4. The pre order only has 720p, yet Batman which is 1080p has 720p, 1080i and 1080p.
Every game always has that when they're initially put up on the site. It means about as much as any game release date that is the first of a month when they're just announced.

No, they haven't shown anything that resembles playing the game including the HUD. The gif floating around on here is a gaffer made mockup of what DICE is saying it'll look like so don't look into that too much

Wait, but everyone was saying there were only 4 maps and no bots like it was facts a few hours ago!

You mean to tell me they ... they were ... making assumptions?!

The DLC is going to be so hard to resist for this game, I just know it, because who isn't going to need a whole new planet

They fucking know. They know we'll buy it. I'm going to buy it. Because I'm an idiot fanboy and need everything that has to do with this game. What have I become.

I could have accepted eight maps, but I'm really really happy to hear this news.

I can't believe how much people are shitting on the news of this game. Dice have had, what, the best part of eighteen months to make this game? It's not as simple as a Battlefield re-skin, how could anyone possibly expect them to include everything Battlefront 2 had without repeating a BF4 launch?

I'm looking forward to E3 to see some real gameplay.

I'm getting Premium day 1 for this game.

If it's anything like BF3 and BF4 Premium, we're going to get a lot of new planets, maps, game modes and weapons/gadgets.

Well they started in May 2013 but the full team didn't get onboard until around Jan 2014.

Ah, jokes on me. ;)

Still stick to my impression of course that actual gameplay won't look remotely comparable to the trailer

+1

I'll most certainly buy it too. Even if they considerably downgrade the visuals. As long the game is fun to play, and I believe its gonna be, I don't care for top notch graphics.
