I need help regarding
Wet Nurse, the first time I fought it it didn't clone itself until it was almost dead, every subsequent time it's been doing it really early and kicking my ass.
Any advice?

Once
it starts cloning itself I find it easiest to just stop attacking and start dodging. Keep dodging until it returns to "normal" and then go back to attacking.
I like the sense of exploration and discovering secrets, so random dungeons are basically the exact opposite of what I'm interested in.
Have you ever tried the chalice dungeons? They are not random at all. There are some that are procedurally generated by a code (aka glyph) and the fixed dungeons setup by the developers

If the dungeons were random, players would not be able to share the chalice glyphs with each other and tell each other where to find the good loot

best way to dodge in the dark is to lock on the original and keep turning anticlock wise, since the clone always spawn on your left. they also have only 1 hp, so you can make them disappear with a gunshot if you want to keep fightning but i suggest you to just wait a minute till del fog dissipate

How do you reliably deal with Frenzy? I even tried installing some of those Frenzy resistance runes and they didn't seem to help that much. The way it charges up is really strange, too. Hate those damn brain enemies because they just feel straight up unfair.

Also, can you reliably farm the Frenzy cure items? Sucks that they don't seem to be sold in shops.
Spend insight.

For the love of all that is holy will someone give me tips for M
ergot's wet nurse
. I get so close so often but she keeps spamming the clone that is so hard to dodge

Bloodletting Beast in the depth 5 chalice, easy ass boss made super hard because it makes you deal with the bullshit. The hard part is surviving the camera.

I think you should really get your insight back if you can't find a player with the bell. Especially because it's usually the game's fault.

Just go aggressive imo. You one shot the clones. Also, I had a fight where she didn't even do the clone move (not glitched either). You might get lucky.

Question regarding insight:

Once you've beaten
Rom, does insight actually do anything besides make the game harder? I know having a lot earlier than Rom shows you the Amygdalas and such, but just wanted to be sure I'm fine to spend insights on supplies as needed from this point on

Also UV feels like a new game difficulty-wise lol

The Forbidden Woods is huuuuuuge. Got kinda lost. Made it past a bunch of pigs and I knew there was a boss around but I had 50k souls on me. I feel like the was a shortcut to a lamp around there but I only opened one that basically led nowhere. To where that one body is praying to a giant tombstone.

Just hightailed it back to the first lamp.

Yeah I love that boss so much! I even uploaded a video of me fighting her.

Yeah like most bosses, you really have to learn her attack patterns. When it goes dark and she splits, you need to stay on the run. Having good endurance is a big help.

I'm no pro at her though. I fought her for 2 days+ til I finally beat her. Maybe it took so long cause half the time I'm sitting there like a fool praising how well shes executed (as a boss).

FROM Software is BOSS

I also enjoyed my bloodtinge build with Evelyn and chikage. Chikage puts out ridiculous dps when you get to unload on an enemy. and evelyn with high bloodtinge lets you do things that maybe you shouldn't be able to do.

I'm running the 50 Bloodtinge build and doing Chalice dungeons atm. An Evelynn buffed with blood bullets and Bone Marrow Ash, can shoot a boss for 600dmg lol. its pretty sweet.

Time and time again I reach a point where I just have zero blood echoes. It's so dull to farm these echoes when the game has no useful drops in the area.

I'm in the Forbidden Woods and wondering how I can gain echoes without farming vials from energy.

I think it's my favorite area in the game so far.
Cainhurst
is pretty cool, too. But not as large.

Coop, join someone's game. Easy echoes with no risk.

Yeah this is true as long as they are not making the boss run. If they making a boss run and that shortcut door is open to the elevator, they might sprint straight to the boss.

Sometimes being a helper phantom is pure charity work especially when the host gets themselves killed and u get kicked to the curb

The more Insight you have, the quicker Frenzy will affect you.

I usually try to keep my Insight at 10 or so. Will dropping it to zero really make that much of a difference? Adding +300 resistance via runes didn't seem to do a whole lot against those brain enemies.

If you have 20+, then it starts getting pretty bad. I stay around 10 myself. The +300 resistance rune and wearing the Ashen Hunter set helps out a lot.

Dropping it more won't do anything, high insight (30+) is what starts to affect it. Try wearing an outfit that is more geared toward frenzy resistance. Also you can start buying sedatives after finding the
cosmic eye watcher badge in upper cathedral ward
.

My Bloodborne guide from Amazon (US) is preparing for shipment with an estimated arrival of Wednesday.

edit: this is from the Amazon page:

IMPORTANT 3RD UPDATE
=> The books have been delivered to Amazon this morning (April 17th) and ALL pre-orders will be shipped as soon as Amazon has processed the shipment. Thanks and apologies to everyone for the wrong release dates that were given out.

Thanks! I'll check out the spoiler bit. Seems like just using cure items might be the way to go. Problem is, I had only one when I first encountered those brain enemies the other day.

I feel like the starting weapons are not of
much use
mif it comes to
ng+
I think about
giving up my trusty sawclever+10 for someting with higher scaling
should I

see my post aove...the old hunter bone helps give you better stamina regen, and you can get more hits in just before he teleports.

I mean, sure, your tips are good but still you nearly die. I feel like after his first form, part of the fight is down to luck so you either have to get lucky or have huge DPS to be able to nearly kill him in his first form and then quickly finish him off in the second form before he can do too much of his bullshit.

that's not an effective strategy, try wiping out his spider hordes by circling around the spiders and attacking from the side/behind.

Most guides recommend only attacking the initial horde. But the next couple batches you supposed to ignore them and attack Rom

I summoned my bro to help me with Rom though. Couldn't solo him. I was a lowbie bloodtinge build back then with no acce3ss to the good endgame weapons for that build that comes from that
Castle

So not trying to override this person's advice!

I'm stuck on this guy what weapons did you use and did you do it solo or?

Yea I did it solo. I used tonitrus +6 and never used my cannon or pistol as I used a ton of ammo on the hunter before. I killed the little ones in the first phase, then laid into the boss. I got about a third of his life gone, maybe a little more. After that I just killed the stragglers and went after the boss hitting him once or twice then running out. Keep moving and roll a lot. I only used lock on when I was killing the little ones, not on the big one

I've done half a dozen chalice dungeons so far and am wondering how many I have to do to get to
Yharnam
? I've found the dungeons themselves to be a bit of a bore; challenging, sure, but the layouts have begun to wear on me and I'd like to just get my platinum and go back to the story.
Is there a roadmap available somewhere?

Yeah you are always going to "nearly die" on this fight...I klled all the spiders a few times tryign that method to no avail. I know it works for some, but I preferred the yolo.

What weapon was that?

Blade o
f mercy.
You can get it early in the game by involving yourself with the Eil
een
quest. I have to admit it is a damn good weapon for this fight, and could be the reason I APPEAR to have such an easy time...Its awesome for any fight where reach is no issue as the DPS and moveset is outstanding. Really reach is overrated though as the dodge moves enable you to cover distance quickly regardless. Its nice to see that FROM is continuing to ensure the DEX weapons are always the best ;P

thanks this is awesome...I m almost there! I have to find the materials (lo
ran
crap) for the defiled though...anyone know where I can get some? The lo
ran
dungeons?

Thanks my friend I'm going to try to find the bone now!

I remember back, two days after launch and I couldn't beat bsb for hours, I finally got the kill three hours later. Souls vet and I couldn't figure out why this boss was giving me a hard time. Until I realized that I was respecting it too much, went all in and killed it.

This is my ng kill with a new character and chikage build. I used the sequence skip to make it to cainhurst and get the badge(it was painful as hell)before I even touch Amelia.
