Bloodborne |OT+++| ...and so the Nightly Hunt continues

Here's a quick video I made of the glitch in the clinic that can yield a ton of blood echoes. Combined with the clinic skip (https://youtu.be/wzhsYPv9aUM) you can get as many blood echoes as you want at the very start of the game, prior to encountering your first boss.

Details in description, but the basic goal is to kill the dogs in their cages, then enter the clinic and drag the "magic" spot where you get the dog-ghosts echoes to the door by the lantern by forcing a few zone transitions. Eventually it will stick and you can quickly cross a line over and over very easily to get 2k in about a second.

In the video, I cut a section out where I was trying to pin down the sweet spot, but on a fresh character that proved unnecessary. In the back door, out the front, back to the NPC and then it sticks.

https://youtu.be/vZIFw6fEPkI

Let me know if it doesn't work for you and (if possible) what step I missed and I'll update the description for others. Possible steps include: triggering the echoes on the far side of the gurney closest to the door one or more times, and positioning the camera so you can see out the front of the clinic at some point while setting up the main spot.

Why do you get those echoes in the first place?

Why do you get those echoes in the first place?
The dogs in the Forbidden Woods, for whatever reason, cause some kind of schroedinger's box situation when killed in their cages. When you go back to Yharnam, the game is probably dumping the assets from the Woods, or at least losing the gamestate of the region. By manipulating the zone transition by pulling in a little bit of Yharnam, you can force the game to wait until the last second to reinitialize the Woods zone, which happens at the doorway as long as you go back and "get" a little bit of the region past the lamp.

This is all a guess. This happens seemingly randomly around the game all the time, but is probably caused by the same situation - the game making sure that an enemy you killed is already dead, but for whatever reason it has to "kill" it to get the region back into the correct state.

The dogs can be released from the cages, which is a static trigger - they will never respawn locked in the cages again. Most likely it has to do with the cages in some way.

I tried my cane for a bit but did no better. My best runs have been with blades. I can get him to about 20% then wheels fall off

Once I got this strategy down I didn't find it too bad.
Always stay in front of him and try and lure him to smash his head at you. Dodge back, move forward and attack just as his head is almost back up. If you attack too early he'll do another attack so you have to get the timing right. Rinse and repeat.

That's the default bloodstain location. If you are absolutely sure your bloodstain disappeared, try there. I wonder if that works for the ghost-eyes thing posted earlier?

I actually managed to find it! The bloodstain ended up in front of the
building with the three hunters

So random... :P

Nothing will beat the Dark Souls infinite souls glitch, though. It has been patched sadly. So easy to pull, made my second character run of the game a joke... :)

How does this work? Like, what is it that's allowing you to stagger big enemies and hit bosses in the head?

I didn't know that was something you could really influence, aside from weapon range/spread/speed making different counters easier to pull off.

I think it has something to do with timing a heavy attack properly and the range of your weapon. I found the Threaded Cane in whip mode always hit big bosses in the head with a R2 attack because of the ridiculous reach. I found myself able to chain visceral attacks against Darkbeast Paarl and Amygdala easily.

Damn. Any tips for
Gehrman
? I'm done with him for the day.

He's basically parry city. So many attacks that can be parried, especially the long scythe ones. Maintain distance in second phase as you can't stun and be really patient.

the difficulty in this game is weird.
my friend couldnt beat the number 3 lol on NG+ BTW.

I laughed so hard when I entered that boss. Since really a regular enemy as a boss. Easy fight and only bad thing it could do was taking insight.

Well, they gave him a new ranged stun move, which caught me off guard a few times. Get hit by that and it's bye bye insight. But yeah, once I got over the shock of that move, and remembered to use piercing attacks, it was easy.

I just
joined the Vilebloods
, I'm not really sure where to go from here, if that was a bad choice, and what to do with the unopened summons, I never really got the NPC sidequests in Souls games.

Question: Is there any importance to one of A
mygdala's arms
being blue and glowy? Like is that one more vulnerable than the others?

What's the deal with the old man ghost in central pthumeru, he's not hostile at all and if you stand in front of him he will stop moving as if to acknowledge you. I've tried several gestures like Make Contact but nothing happens. I did notice though that every time you do a gesture there(maybe in general?) the game auto saves, which is odd.

So guys do any of you use spotify when playing ... I was wondering if you could tell me some good dark scary ambient music that would go well with it I've been looking for hours I did find a epic music playlist for pvp though but I'm need some to go with the just plain ol environmental ambient sounds in the game... For just exploing around for the Dungeons.

I made three characters.

I have a level 91 bloodtinge/skill/vitality character in NG.

I have a level 105 well rounded character in NG.

What are the best areas for PvP????? I want to do a lot of it! :D

Are bosses kin, beast, or neither? Specifically,
the One Reborn
. I'm trying to optimize my gems for the fight.
Depends on the boss. I think
the One Reborn
is neither; definitely not a beast.
Ebrietas
hits damn hard.

Can't consistently dodge
charge
or
lasers
For
lasers
, don't sidestep or roll, just run left or right and the attack won't be able to track you.

Probably
Nightmare of Mensis
or
Nightmare Frontier
. Those areas are flagged for PVP regardless of whether a player summons for help or not.

So I just started NG+ and have a shit load of echoes, but no way to spend them. Do I need to face the cleric beast first? I'd hate to lose all these.

Nightmare of Mensis
Mergo's Loft Middle (i think this one is the easiest to invade)
Mergo's Loft Base
Nightmare Frontier

Pleased with my progress today! Currently lvl 66. Bosses CB, FG, BSB. VA, HW, SOY, and DP are now down, as is the hunter before ROM. Anything I've missed before I get stuck into ROM? Would like to close all books before moving on so to speak. Still 2 Blood Rocks away from improving my weapon aswell.

I have to say though, the game is just incredible! On an artistic level especially. A sequel with the help of Sony on the tech side I'm sure would yield some spectacular results!

I recommend you using a pistol, he is easy to parry once you learn. Then visceral attack and you are fine, trust me. Just face him few times, learn which attack you can ''parry'' and you should be fine. When he has the long scythe I found harder to parry him but when he has the gun and short weapon he usually does a roll attack which is really easy to parry. As soon as he roll shot him , dash forward and r1.

Just beat Martyr Logarious this morning with some coop help. Seeing these lists makes me smile that the toughest boss is probably out of the way.

Anyone comment on this? Not getting past Rom is really killing me. Want to do chalices but I can't :(

Kill the adds, every time they spawn. Stay relatively close to him when they're dead so he won't use the rain attack much, be prepared to gtfo if he does his self bomb or upward rock rain thingy. After the first phase is over just get 2-3 hits each opening and run. Worse comes to worse level vit a bit for more hp and def.

You can choose to give the unopened summon to Alfred. He will show up at cairnhust and kill the queen. Basically he hates the vilebloods and wants to kill them. He will reward you (don't remember exactly what it was but I think it was the wheel weapon badge) if you give him the summon and show up where the queen is.

I recommend you buying cairnhust set now that you have joined the vile bloods, pretty cool armour set.

So, what happens to the whole Vileblood thing if you give the summons to Alfred? Are you still in the Vilebloods after the Queen is killed or what?

Holy shit this set is a lot of money, but it looks amazing. Thanks.

I gave Alfred the unopened summon , he showed up and killed the queen. I did this for wheel weapon seeing that you have to complete alfred quest line just to be able to buy the weapon. I'm not sure about how the vile blood thing works after the queen is dead, all I know is that you can resurrect her . After she is dead , she drops queenly flesh. Take that to the daugther of cosmos place and you can resurrect her. This is what I did.

Equipping the convenant rune = in that convenant. Unequip = out. Really dumb way of doing it. And,
having Alfred kill the queen lets you get into the executioner convenant. Get the executioner's rune from Alfred's suicide body found in the place where you first met Alfred. You can also resurrect the queen using the queen flesh at alter in the EB boss room.
