for two reasons
1. waste of resources, i rather them focus fully on multiplayer
2. more expensive, if its multiplayer only it would be cheaper for consumers

Go full Gears or not at all. If you don't like or want the campaigns that is fine, either don't play them or wait for it to drop in price. No way are we not getting campaigns

Even if that's true, that's still disappointing.
I think they are putting a lot into mp either way. I really don't think having the campaign will effect their effort for mp.

Still, I don't think they would subject themselves to the backlash of pulling Execution.
Given Spencer's thoughts on the series, is it likely that the series is going back to those dark roots? Has BlackTusk commented in that regard?
I've never purchased a remaster before but in this case I haven't played the original, so I'm definitely interested. Here's hoping it doesn't suffer any issues like Halo MCC.

What would be the chances that this is just a cover up for testing net code for Gears of War X1 which will release sooner than we expect with a hurried port some multiplayer components of Gears of War?
I understand that it's reaching, quite far too...but depending on how fast and easy it is to port and make a demo...I'm only even saying thus because I find it so odd that you would release just the first. I suppose it's an anniversary but with so many collections floating around these days, I can't help but try to find more.

Bit worried about no execution/Warzone being involved in the Beta. It's the staple of the multiplayer in Gears (even though 3 tried to push it aside) and it's the reason why the game feels like nothing else on the market.
Hopefully this is just a test to see what other game types work in the original Gears.

The gears 3 beta only had tdm and KoTH, calm down. The beta was there to try out new modes not to play what we already know
Slow down just a little. The game isn't announced yet and for all we know this was a server scale test. Wait until they at least announce the game proper before flipping tables.

Gears of War 1 is my least favorite honestly. I would've preferred a remaster of all 3. The campaign&MP in Gears 1 is pretty shallow and dated compared to 2 and 3. Just give me a Gears 3 remaster, and I would be in heaven! I really hope they rebalance, and have dedicated servers up and running day 1

Gears 1 is the best. It's not overwrought with gimmicks and too many weapons. It's Gears distilled down to its best.
