Just Cause 3 gameplay trailer up

Yep, looks like a Just Cause trailer. I wish they had put a co-op mode in as this is exactly the kind of game that would shine with it.

I guess Mad Max will be my Avalanche game of choice this year but I'll still try to get JC3 somewhere down the line.
 
Looks great but might get lost in Holiday shuffle. Should delay until End of Jan/early Feb for maximum exposure. If a holiday release then I will get when on sale but still new.
 
Looks fun, I don't know if I will pick it up right away because it will be the Holiday season: CoD, Battlefront, and probably some other AAA titles.

We will see though!

Fuck Call of Duty. This trailer should have used Paint it Black. It would have fit well.

Has a just cause game ever used Paint it Black? I mean half the game is turning red objects into black smoke clouds. Seems like a no brainer.
 
Looks really great and I love the slightly exaggerated colors and saturation. With them hiring someone to do the car physics I'm really hoping they are exceeding on that front too; JC2 had some pretty poor tire physics and I really hope that they can improve them. Other than that, I'm pretty close to pre-ordering the game.

As someone who got the platinum for the game of course it was repetitive, you had the same handful of tasks that you repeated a hundred times.

I just hope there's more variety to the tasks and the world is a lot more alive, it might've been great with scale and all but Panau felt large for the sake of being large, far too much dead space. Oh and a story that's more than just window dressing would be nice.
 
Kinda worried that the cars won't have much weight to them again (damage models didn't look too impressive from the... four seconds or footage either) but whatever. Just Cause 2 was fucking incredible, really looking forward to getting lost in a huge world all over again.
 
Gameplay trailer huh... lol. Sure. Avalanche might have 2 fantastic games this year if Mad Max is as good as it looks.
 
Before watching the trailer: 'They'd have to fuck up really bad for me not to want a Just Cause on the new systems.'

Hate that preorder bullshit but this game still looks like a day 1 to me.

If you'd have posted something like "Does this game have micro transactions?" then that's cool.

But you basically said "this has micro transactions" and you'll "skip this one".

That's not an opinion, that's incorrect.
 
JC2 was insanely fun. If you didn't have fun in JC2 then you are just a very, very boring person.

I loved just experimenting with the physics, especially when it came to gas cannisters and such like that. Hooking 2 together and popping one and seeing what happens. Or latching stuff onto helicopters and whatnot. Game felt like Bionic Commando at times with the grappling hook mechanics, which is still some of my favorite traversal mechanics ever. Loved jumping out of aircraft and trying to get back in and going before it crashes to the ground.

Just an amazingly fun game, and it had one of the best demo's ever made! I was hooked on the demo HARD.

Unable to watch the trailer, but the gifs look GREAT

How big is Avalanche for them to be working on two AAA games? Anyone think they might be spreading themselves thin?

The 'next gen Just a Cause 2' assumptions seem valid but idk if I see it as a bad thing. It can still potentially be great with a bigger scale and more opportunities to fuck around.
 
If that is all actual gameplay then color me very impressed looks amazing. The DLC toss in at the end is pretty lame but outside of that good job MS.
 
Looks a little over the top and it could get really repetitive like Far Cry. Can someone confirm if the formula is shoot things, unlock a tower, shoot more things, unlock another tower? Were there a bunch of boring side missions in previous games?

The formula is closer to destroy things however you wish. The side missions werent really boring but there were not an overwhelming amount either. Exploring is really fun as well. Based on the previous game I doubt there is tower unlocking of any kind. But you could open respawn points in the last game by storming a base with your NPC comrades
 
Didn't know this was dropping this year Avalanche has been keeping their stuff under wraps.

How big is avalanche to big is avalance to have two huge open world games dropping this year?
 
Is that still Rico or is this a new protag? Looks like a white guy with a tan. Needs to shave that mess too. JC2 Rico looked great.

Gameplay looks...well it's Just Cause. Will buy. Interested to hear gameplay improvements but "no minigame to hijack choppers" has me sold.
