There's Now an E3 Press Conference For The PC, Hosted By Day9 [Up: More Devs]

source 3 (skipping the number 2) , left4dead 3, half life 3, portal 3, counter strike 3 , dota 3 ,ricochet 3,team fortress 3, rollcage 3 and no one lives forever 3
Valve steambox with radeon 390x for 333 dollars with 3 free games and steam OS 3.3

So, nothing =P

Yeah, one of the biggest pioneers of esports, makers of one of the most iconic FPS franchises ever made, currently running one of the biggest games in the world alongside several other great titles.

Who would want to hear from them, right?

Hey, if DOTA/CSGO are you jam I guess I can see why, but I couldn't give less of a shit about competitive gaming.

What is Konami going to announce anyway?

Just their departure I guess, maybe a plan to outsource and bastardize MGS6 and their dislike of anything with Kojima anywhere near it. Perhaps try and convince gamers that gambling is a better use of their hard earned cash. I mean that's really all they have now other than PES huh?

Dean is there most likely to talk about his experiences as PC developer, something about DayZ and then about his new project that he has started since leaving DayZ dev team / Bohemia.

I am unsure about the last bit though. I'd love him to talk about it a bit but it's VERY early in dev and he seems to be against any sort of early access of showing off. (I imagine DayZ burned him a lot)

Last I heard from him he didn't want to announce it until it was a month or less from release. Might have changed though

Why would people expect or want Valve to be there? They'd have nothing to contribute other than a new Steam feature... maybe.

Source 2 and L4D3 are in active development, Steam Machines set to release later this year, and any new content for Dota 2/CSGO/TF2 would effect millions.

Most likely MGSV related, but we can always hope for the existing Silent Hill PC versions showing up on digital distribution.

Source 2 is more of a GDC thing as an engine would be better geared towards a developers conference. More DLC for old games is what I'd qualify as nothing. We've really only got L4D3 maybe. Same number of new games coming as Konami.

sssooo many, so mane damn conferences

I'm glad I have monday, tuesday and wednesday off this year. Holy shit

Day[9] hosting?

best conference confirmed

Well, to be fair, some of these are more important than others. Going through the ones you listed...

  • Bethesda is really just that one announcement we all know is coming
  • EA should be interesting with proper current-generation sports titles
  • Sony should be interesting
  • Ubi could be good if they have new small projects waiting in the wings to follow up on Child of Light, Valiant Hearts and Grow Home
  • Square Enix isn't really anything if the Eidos stuff is at the PC conference
  • Nintendo won't have a press conference, but their prepared long E3 video
  • PC conference is a DAMN WILDCARD

Well, now that I thought about it... there is actually quite a lot to look forward to. :lol

The only confirmed thing coming from Bethesda right now is DOOM. We know Fallout 4 is almost certainly coming in addition to that, and we're hoping for Dishonored II.

Goes more back into my hate towards all this proprietary tech [TressFX, PhysX etc.] that is designed around specific HW [AMD or Nvidia] and if you don't own said HW you are in for garbage performance. Then if we assume that Nvidia isn't in this event because AMD is driving this boat, along with PC Gamer, it just adds to it.

Most AMD tech tends to be hardware agnostic.

When was the last time Valve even released a game?!

Since 2006, they released a game every year up to 2013 when Dota 2 released. 2014 was the first year since 2005 where no new game was put out

2003 - Day of Defeat
2004 - HL2
2005 - [Nothing significant] HL2 LC / DoD Source
2006 - HL2 EP1
2007 - Orange Box (HL2 / EP1 / EP2 / Portal / TF2)
2008 - Left 4 Dead
2009 - Left 4 Dead 2
2010 - Alien Swarm
2011 - Portal 2
2012 - CS:GO
2013 - Dota 2 (Also most games moved to Linux)
2014 - [Nothing]
2015 - ?????
