I'd say close enough. Good find! I don't think the Marathon symbol was in Halo 4 due to legal reasons, because it use to be my emblem in previous Halo's and I never found it in H4. Perhaps a few minor design differences were made with the symbol just like what happened with the monitors.
 
It looks like something is buried in the ground in the middle of the symbol, it could be a tomb. The similarities between that picture and the marathon/reclaimer symbol are hard to deny.

The inner circle is too small? NOPE. Look at the proportions they are almost identical. The only difference is that there is something buried under the sand in the very center. The guy above got the coordinates from the ARG and look where it took him, in the middle of a desert with a symbol that looks just like the reclaimer one. That would be way too much of a coincidence.

A little zoomed in. To me that's about as perfect a symbol you will get while making lines in the sand/stacking stones.

I should mention that it isn't exactly at those coordinates. Still it's a hell of a coincidence.

Maybe the coordinates are for the general area?

First one is how the Prophets had had the glyph for most of the Covenant's history and thought to be "Reclamation". Second one is how Mendicant Bias' fragment inside High Charity, who flipped and corrected it for them the night the Covenant declared war on Humanity, and it actually means "Reclaimer".

Third one is 343 Industries' version of the logo because Bungie owned the rights to it. Interesting that they're using the old version again. Could be explained as just a stylized variant of the Reclaimer glyph.
 
It's possible they toned down the highly baroque design of the Reclaimer symbol in Halo 4 and made it something a little closer to the original without getting sued in their entirety. I actually had to do something similar so that I had a COMPLETELY ORIGINAL CONTENT logo for a project that will not be named and has absolutely no bearing on my aspirations:

Old version? The main difference between 343's and the "Reclaimer" glyph is that the thinner section up top has been severed and there's a rod hanging from the center circle now. But even if you were to reconnect the top portion, the thicker part of the outer circle is on the bottom (instead of the top like in the "Reclaimation" glyph). Obviously, they had to "update" the imagery, but I visually can only see it as being a variant of the "Reclaimer", not "Reclaimation".

Oh well :P

Old version as in Bungie's Marathon logo. Not the incorrect upside-down glyph. There is no "Reclamation" glyph. That was a mistranslation by the prophets.

From Contact Harvest:

God, I loved that part of Contact Harvest. The way MB laid the smack down on the prophets and tried to start up the Dreadnought. You could imagine him thinking "I've had enough of it with these fools!!!"
 
Oh, I get it, it's an authorization joke. He's saying we don't have the clearance or something.

That, or somebody would have to have some ludicrous clearance to come across whatever it is this new ARG is detailing.
