Pretty much this!

To be fair, it's not worse than "Batman not dead but actually time-travelling as caveman or pirate" before 52.The ramifications of Civil War bled into "Secret Invasion" wherein the alien race, the Skrulls, infiltrated the hero ranks and tried to take over the world. This led into "Dark Reign" where Norman Osborn/Green Goblin took over as Director of SHIELD/HAMMER.
Captain America came back to life because the bullets he was shot with were, I shit you not, TIME BULLETS.
Pretty good I say. What are the Chances we get a super small DD cameo
So, will we get this scene in the film, or a variation on it?

He will be affected by the registration act.
Evans is signed for Infinity War, so no Cap death as far as I see, unless he gets resurrected.
Does Captain America usually leap off city building without a care in the world?

If they ever do Secret Invasion- they totally need to start by introducing Hulkling (and have him be a malfunctioning sleeper agent.)The ramifications of Civil War bled into "Secret Invasion" wherein the alien race, the Skrulls, infiltrated the hero ranks and tried to take over the world. random crazy idea:
cap dies in civil war, and maybe some other heroes also die between now and infinity wars pt. 2
during infinity wars pt. 2, they get a hold of the gauntlet and use its power to revive captain america, quicksilver, and others for the fight.
then you have ONE scene with every MCU avenger vs Thanos......
I mean, lets be real about this here (and this is spoiler free, don't worry): Pretty much all of Age of Ultron is a direct result of the fact that the Avengers get to do whatever they want and no-one says to Tony "hey don't do that dumbass".
Like, if Tony's position in Civil War is "I feel guilty because of all of the destruction Ultron caused and maybe we should actually be accountable to someone" that's both a great character arc and also he's completely fucking right. Like, no-one watched the watchmen. Not effectively anyway.

Meanwhile, Cap, coming off Winter Soldier, doesn't like the idea of centralizing all of the power to deal with superhuman threats under one authority. No "competition" for SHIELD allowed HYDRA to regrow, completely unchecked for seventy years.
They also try to bring back Coulson, but it doesn't work. Then he shows up for the fight with May, Lance, Quake and Mockingbird.
"Funny thing about resurrection- it only works on the dead."

Something something heavy-handed government oversight will do I think.Do we even know if that's going to be the plot they go with? A lot of people have mentioned that there aren't really secret identities in the MCU (past DD and assumedly Spider-Man).

The only weird thing is both Stark and Cap are liberals in MCU.
Cap 3 will essentially be Avengers 3: Civil War
The movie will end up Cap and Iron-man join together to fight the villain of the week right?

I wonder who is going to take the place of the New Warriors and cause the massive fuck up that sets the war in motion. Scarlet Witch maybe?
so are we assuming that spider-man is going to be a large role in this now and they rewrote the script to have him be in it?
It's a damn shame we wont get to see something like this in a movie any time soon.
Well yeah, because anything resembling Tony Stark cloning Thor should be the absolute first thing cut out of a Civil War adaptation
Cap 3 will essentially be Avengers 3: Civil War
Well I wouldn't want it transposed exactly
so are we assuming that spider-man is going to be a large role in this now and they rewrote the script to have him be in it?
And then you'd also have to cut out the inciting incident because the New Warriors don't exist
And you'd need a different explanation for why Hulk isn't there
And obviously Spider-Man isn't going to play a huge role nor unmask himself, because no one would care in that universe because no one knows who he is
And you'd have to cut out all that stuff with the woman yelling at Cap for not watching NASCAR
And while you're at it just go ahead and never let Mark Millar write another comic ever again
Or maybe writers will use more imagination than you just did. It doesn't have to be that simple fight. At least from what was presented in the movies (I don't read comics), I don't see how it is possible for Captain America to win against Iron Man if it's a fair fight. Can't the latter just, I dunno, fly high above and send a bombardment of missiles and lasers? What's the worst the former can do, throw his shield away?
I really hope not. Marvel's ****-stroking of Captain America, and their seeming need to tear down/make other heroes look bad in order to do so, has long since gotten tiresome.

I don't think either will be aiming to kill the other. At least from what was presented in the movies (I don't read comics), I don't see how it is possible for Captain America to win against Iron Man if it's a fair fight. Cap can use firearms too, so, shoot ironman down or something. Or maybe he can borrow Falcon's jetpack. By Cap finding a way to nerf him instead of running straight into a fight.
I don't think either will be aiming to kill the other.
Yeah I bet the whole "Cap vs Iron Man" shenanigans is just for marketing and in the end "common enemy that we must fight together" trope will show up.
LOL MCU Thor could only dream of having Ultimate Thor's strength level, nevermind this main continuity Thor. It's a damn shame we wont get to see something like this in a movie any time soon.
