Batman Arkham Knight free with new 970/980's

This is really tempting. Was holding off for a 980/ti, but a 970 with a good rebate would be crazy.

I can sell both of the games and shave off another $50 off the price.

Decisions....
 
Is it worth buying a 980, I feel like the price point is too high for not being able to future proof the purchase with more than 4GB VRAM.

Will I be okay running games at ultra @ 1080 60 frames with a 980 for the next two years, without vram bottlenecks?

If so I'm going to buy one this coming payday. Need to upgrade my 7870.
 
I see it's up on the GFX card I purchased a week ago. I'm contacting Newegg right now!

Polish shop, I got W3 code. For now there is nothing on their site about Batman. When it appears I'll email them, maybe I'll get lucky.
 
I have 2 chats open because it's just stuck at 1 second on 1 saying I'm next. It never changed. But so far no luck. Both just stuck.
 
Yeah, very tempted by a 970 with Witcher and Batman.

Even if it isn't a big jump from my 280x, going for a 980 on my 1080p monitor seems a bit pointless.
 
I've been using a AMD 7950 for just over a year. and before that a GTX 660 since it came out. I would like to take them up on this offer but there isn't anything for the budget conscious gamer. There needs to be a 970 refresh without the crappy memory issue nor the malfunctions design of the coils. Something that is in the 960-970 in terms of price and general performance with a full 4 gigs (or more) of working ram and a cooling system that doesn't whine. The 980 and the possible 980Ti is too much for my wallet, even considering the cost of the games.
 
Hmm not live at Microcenter yet. Gonna try to contact them and ask if I can get the code since I bought it just over a week ago. My chances are slim but it's worth a shot, I guess.
Edit: actually, seems the deal isn't even at Microcenter. Not even the Witcher is being offered anymore. Huh.
 
Was given my current gaming rig by my dad, so this will be my first graphic card purchase! I'm guessing it makes sense to shell out the extra £100 for the 980 to help future proof it?
 
Well, I bit. Was waiting for a Batman offer. Although oddly enough if I bought one of these at release when I originally wanted to, I could have gotten a better deal after refunds from Amazon.

Trying to decide if I'm going to keep the Witcher code or sell it. Not particularly interested. in it.
 
Just talked to an Amazon rep for purchasing the GTX 970 last week. They said they'd shoot off a request to marketing for me to get the Arkham code. Yay;
 
My friend literally bought a 970 a few days ago. He wont be happy to hear this.
 
I've worked 100 hours from last week Monday to Sunday, and first phase of my project is due tonight. I've been going through so much crap at work and on top of that, my older brother is leaving for deployment today so this couldn't have come at a better time. So thankful for this!!! Thanks for posting OP, I appreciate it.
 
Newegg hooked me up, and I ordered on Apr 21.

They said it was because I'm a "valued customer", which means I spend a lot of money there.

Hm, Lithuania isn't listed for this promotion, but I can find 970+Witcher3 bundles here, so hopefully this new bundle will also come before Witcher 3 release.

Is the 970 going to play the Witcher 3 on a very high setting at 1080p?

I am on the fence at the moment about building a PC or waiting until the end of this year/beginning of next year for all the new stuff, but this is a tempting deal. Would save me spending £50 on Witcher 3 for my PS4.
 
I bought one last week - already contacted the store about it. Hopefully they are fair with this. Since I still am in the 2 weeks window, I'll properly just send the thing back and order a new one to get the code :P

Edit: That was fast - already got the code :) Can't use it on the Nvidia site yet though. Says its 'not yet eligible'.. Anyone else got this problem?
 
Cheapest bundle card that is up at Finnish jimm's looks to be Gigabyte's 970 at 409€. Evidently I just need more money.

Newegg and Amazon have it. The Witcher 3 is a GOG code. Nobody knows what the Arkham Knight code is. I tried to put in my code on the NVIDIA redemption site and its telling me the coupon is not active yet.
 
Bought a GTX 970 on NCIX less than 2 weeks ago with a free Witcher 3 code, guess I could ask for Batman too? Seems to have work with some people here and other suppliers...
